The care and respect for our father during this difficult period has been touching and appreciated.
We would appreciate it if some kind of physiotherapy was arranged to give home something other to keep his mind active for future movement.

One of the hardest decisions we have had to make as a family.
Cannot fault any staff members at that care home.
Lovely accommodation and all staff always acknowledge you upon arrival.
Certain team members, make that care home extra special one lady goes far beyond and a complete asset and
credit to the company (Norva).
Thank you all for looking after my mum -)

The care home is managed professionally from first contact to admittance. The Manager and colleagues are very caring and emphatic, exactly what you would expect when welcoming a loved one into their care. I found the carers to be both professional and respectful to their residents regardless of
their needs and this speaks volumes. First impressions, all carers & colleagues go the extra mile to make residents and visiting family feel at home. Excellent engagement with residents for daily activities. Well balanced home made meal plans with plenty of variety. Cleanliness and furnishings are to a high standard. My relative always presents as happy, clean and well looked after when i visit. Communication on all levels is excellent . Overall opinion - A well managed and dedicated care team providing a home from home environment for their residents.
I would highly recommend. Well done!

It was the hardest decision I have ever had to make to have to put both my parents into permanent care. The events of December 15th 2024 made it crucial that I acted fast and with the help of our Adult Care Manager she swiftly found them both rooms at St John's. I cannot praise them for their
support, help and kindness is getting Mum and Dad accepted within 24 hours. Lately the Senior Nurse has stepped up to Manager and the care and consistency of the Team has been amazing!! All of them, Chefs and kitchen staff, carers. One staff member in particular is a dream! Dads Bestie! They had 2 years of living in their own home with carers 4 times a day, but My biggest worry was night times, although they both had fall alarm detectors and good friends close by they needed more and have truly found it at St John's. I can now sleep at night living 80 miles away. You are all Fantastic thank you so much..

My mother stayed in St Johns for more than two weeks. She had the best experience at the care home. Home manager was excellent from the start to the end of respite. Staff were always there to support all her needs. I would highly recommend this place.

Can't begin to express how grateful I am that he was cared for in St John's. The staff have been amazing and so very caring. It was unfortunate that he had to go into hospital and the nursing care there was so poor that he was sent back to St John's with a grade 2 pressure sore and a canula still
attached to his arm and St John's was not informed of this, but your staff cared for him in such dignity until he passed away and I will always be eternally grateful for that.

Making the decision for even a respite stay was nerve-wracking. Luckily mum settled and is now permanent. St John's is the absolutely best in every way for mum. The staff have made all the difference to my confidence and mum's comfort. A stars for all staff. Please keep up the good work.

The staff are all really professional in regards to my Mother they are respectful and encouraging. Mum is now bed bound and they do their utmost to make sure that she is comfortable. After a fall from bed they made sure that she was ok by moving her to another room where she has peace and quiet.

Mum has been well cared for in the care home. Her physical health has improved and her heart failure is now much better controlled. Also her medication regime is well controlled. Her Parkinson's disease is well managed and her diabetes is also managed well. Her mental health regarding her dementia
has deteriorated but slower than expected as they run an excellent program of activities which stimulates her and helps her maintain her memory and they are very good at helping her in moments of confusion and when she feels frightened or depressed. Overall she has a good quality of life. She tends to not tell the staff when she is having hallucinations or problems till the problems are worrying her but the staff are encouraging her to tell them and addressing once they know.

My Dad has lived at St John's Care Home for over a year now. Honestly, his move there was a difficult decision for us as a family but we are glad we made it.
The staff at St Johns always seem to care for the residents as individuals. This is really important to me. I want to know that my Dad is
being looked after kindly and compassionately. It always feels that he is.
One of the greatest assets to St Johns has to be the non-caring staff who make the "living" experience what it is. It is lovely to visit and see such friendly faces.
My only concern is about times when I feel the home is under staffed, usually weekends. I appreciate people perhaps do not want to work the weekends but there seems less presence at weekends. This could perhaps be made better if there was a visible management at the weekends too.

Mum had chest pain and on another occasion had a fall. The staff handled both problems to a high standard of care. She was resistant to going to A&E to be checked but they managed to persuade her to go and organised everything for her. They are very good at keeping her calm and despite her
complicated needs, they are able to give her a good quality of life.

Caring staff who support my father during some challenging care requirements. Also extends to supporting the family too. This is a difficult phase for all of us. Can usually find staff when you need them, although weekends tend to be a bit more stretched.

The staff are always pleasant and friendly, there could be a few more to help with feeding the ones who are sitting in the dining room at meal times, we've never been introduced to the new manager so am unable to share any opinion about them.

We are very happy with the Care Home and Mum loves it. It’s kept very clean, but it is welcoming and has a homely feel. We know that Mum is well looked after health wise and we are always kept informed. Staff are excellent, friendly, efficient and proactive and there are always activities and
outings to take part in, taking into account everyone's likes and dislikes.

The care my aunt receives at St John’s is second to none the staff are so kind and helpful and they have a full activity programme for the residents including trips out regularly. They ring me regularly to check her care plan and to see that I am happy with her care. The home is always spotless neat
and tidy and the food is home-cooked and a great variety for the residents.
I really can’t praise them enough.
