My mum has felt safe and content in Ashfield. The environment is clean and welcoming and staff always greet you with a smile. One small criticism would be that any live entertainment or tv's are at a volume that makes the ears hurt - just because they are old doesn't mean they are all deaf!

My Sister-In-Law was taken from us by "LBD-Dementia" some 12 to 18 months ago. I'm sure some of you reading this review will know and understand what this means. We (my wife & I, Wife POA), don't live near by. Inn fact we live some 1 hours drive away. It was very difficult in the beginning when she
was diagnosed. Many falls at home and an older husband who just didn't understand. Eventually, from a fall, she was taken in to hospital. When the time came for discharge her husband refused to have her home. Again, eventually she was taken to a residential care home which was not a nice place to be left at. Again she had a few falls and ended up back in hospital with the home refusing to take her back.
Ashfield House (Raunds) took her in and since then we have not had any problems at all. ALL THE STAFF ARE VERY, VERY, DEDICATED, FRIENDLY, CAREING, In fact, I WANT TO LIVE THERE !!!
My Sister-In-Law, could not be in a better place. WELL DONE AHSFIELD !!!

From the moment my sister was visited in the hospital by the Manager I have been totally impressed by Ashfield. It is clean and welcoming. The meals are lovely- we have tried them ourselves !
The new receptionist is lovely and cheerful and is. like most of her colleagues, never too busy to stop
and answer any queries in a lovely manner, even if it is just about the resident budgie.
Most of the Staff including the Maintenance Man and the Laundry ladies are always very patient with and friendly towards my sister and my family and are very approachable and provide a good service.
The care provided by Ashfield is second to none, in my experience and the Senior Carers whether face-to-face or over the phone are 'Ab Fab'.
Thank you Ashfield for helping me through these sometimes very difficult times,

All the staff at Ashfield House are very approachable, and nothing is ever too much for them. Since my mother arrived here, she has been extremely happy, always complimenting how caring the staff are.
As a family, we visit often and are always made to feel very welcome.

My mother became a resident four months ago, following two previous week-long respite stays and showed a great desire to become a permanent resident at Ashfield House. She has made some lovely friends and enjoys the entertainers that come to the home. She has become much happier since moving in, as
she now has the company that was lacking due to her poor mobility following many falls at home, which consequently meant that she could no longer get out to socialise.

On behalf of myself and all my family, I wish to praise the outstanding care received by my 105 year old mother for the last 4 years and especially when she finally left us. The staff were not only excellent with my mother who had become extremely frail but supported my wife and I during this
difficult time.
Mum was always happy with the staff and Ashfield House itself. We had needed to move out of a large house where Mum had her own bedsit at short notice, but right from the start everyone was so welcoming that the transition from bedsit to a care home was completed easily and in a very caring way. Nothing was too much trouble.
I would recommend Ashfield House unreservedly and know that my Mums last few years were happy and comfortable.
My thanks and best wishes to all the staff.

Ashfield House has a lovely, warm, friendly atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The staff are kind, caring, and nothing is too much trouble. Residents are treated with dignity and respect, and the staff take time to deal with individual needs and concerns.

My mum came here for respite care. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism. The staff were very polite and engaged with you. Prior to coming to Ashfield House, my mum struggled to eat, but while at Ashfield, she looked forward to her meals. She was also happier. I was also impressed
with the activities for the residents. I highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to use their services.

Ashfield House is unique. Exceptionally high standards. The care home organisation is pre-eminent. All homes are architecturally similar in design. Award winning staff are not only competent but offer the very best care available. Management v.professional.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the level of care my Mum receives. Most of the carers are really helpful, and you can see they want to do a great job. Meal times are a concern with helping mum to eat and control of weight loss; if this could be improved, that would be appreciated. The cleanliness of the
facilities is of a high standard. For the hot weather, air conditioning would be a big improvement.

My friend was very well cared for and treated with dignity at all times. We were always made welcome by staff, who remembered who we were (we visited every week). Staff were always friendly and caring. The home was very clean with lots going on for residents.

My Dad has loads of praise for the staff here. He tells me they do look after me here.
His room is always clean. The bed is always made.
Dad is always happy.
When he first came, there were a few things to sort out due to his personality, but the staff have nailed it! Thank you.

Ashfield House has always had a lovely welcoming atmosphere. It is a lovely building and kept clean and tidy. My Nan has lived here for a number of years now and at the age of almost 102 years is now receiving end-of-life care. Sadly I and other families have had cause to complain about the lack of
end-of-life care she is receiving now. There have been insufficient numbers of staff to attend to her meaning very long gaps in personal care. I have spoken to the current manager about these concerns over the phone and over the last couple of days things appear to have improved somewhat. I do plan to have further conversations with her regarding the end-of-life care provision. As an ex-nurse of over 30 years, this is an area in which I have a great deal of experience and it is why I have noticed and identified the shortfalls in care as I and other family members spend time sitting with Nan.
Would I recommend Ashfield House? Yes, I would.

What a wonderful home for my nan, I was apprehensive that she would be very anxious moving from home but she is in great spirits. The Christmas entertainment and atmosphere were lovely and she enjoyed singing along to all of the songs! The staff were very accommodating to the residents and us as
guests. I am very safe in the knowledge that Nan will be well looked after here.

The care from staff has been outstanding. They cater for everything my mother requires. I would recommend to anyone that the care is absolutely brilliant. My mother settled in very quickly and she was happy here. I find I don't worry about a thing with her care, she will miss this home.

Nan came in as an emergency following a fall at home and was unable to care for herself. The manager assessed her with the deputy the same day and facilitated the move into Ashfield House seamlessly. In the three weeks she has been here she has been able to recouperate and has been guided to
rehabilitate herself to be able to go home. She has been treated with dignity and respect throughout and has eaten fabulously! A big thank you to all the wonderful staff at Ashfield, you all do an amazing job.
