My grandmother stayed at this care home and our family is very grateful for the care she received during her time there. From the beginning, the staff were welcoming, kind, and supportive. They always treated her with dignity and respect, which meant a lot to our whole family and gave us great peace
of mind. The care home was always clean, calm, and well organized. The environment felt warm and friendly, which helped my grandmother feel relaxed and comfortable during her stay.

We had a very negative experience here. My Dad has early / mid stage dementia and Parkinsons. He was shown around and the place looked lovely. There were nice spaces to sit and snack areas with drinks. But when he arrived he was taken upstairs where it was quite different. The decor was less nice,
the snacks and drinks available were less and not so nice. The lift was not working so he was kept upstairs the whole week. I was told on the first day that it was temporary but lasted the whole week. They were doing building work right next to my Dad's room, with relentless power tools all day. His timed medications were significantly late on three occasions. He was left alone most of the time and was clearly distressed by other residents who were having screaming episodes. I understand that cannot be helped but my Dad was trying to comfort two ladies alone. He had his walking stick taken by another resident and on the first day was given so little food that he called me saying he was hungry

I enjoyed my 3 weeks and found all the staff very helpful and caring. I also enjoyed taking part in the various chairobics and keep fit activities.
My one negative comment would be regarding the giving out of the medication. I take painkillers morning & evening and at regular times, but the morning
meds could arrive any time from 7am to 10am, according to who was on duty, which to me was not very satisfactory.
On the whole the experience was a pleasant one and I was well looked after.

2 satisfactory respite weeks after knee op. Staff more than helpful in all situations. Wonderful surroundings which need immediate attention to restore them to their original standard. Please sort this; signage needs dealing with, where is it?
Cleaning of toilets in bedrooms leaves a lot to be
desired.
Would I come again? Yes

Always warm and welcoming. Staff have smiles on their faces, always greet visitors as though they were their own family members. No request is too much trouble, and discussions are never rushed. The environment is warm and welcoming, activities for those that wish to partake are regular and varied -
including visits from pet dogs, llamas and donkeys. The food in of very high quality, and if the resident would like something different, that's accommodated with a smile, family and other visitors can also fine with their loved one as well, just let the care staff know. All in all a very very good service.

Mum moved into Collingtree Park last month. She has early dementia and had been struggling on her own at home, getting isolated and had given up many of her regular activities. We were so pleased with the warm welcome she received when she arrived, tired and a little emotional. With some gentle
encouragement and support, she is eating a greater variety of foods and has the energy to mobilise outside her room. She has also restarted many of her former activities - knitting, reading the paper and word puzzles. Thank you so much to all of her kind, cheerful carers - we couldn't have wished for a better transition for her.

Admittance was prompt. Corridors clean. Restaurant menu looked appealing. Resident was in the lounge watching TV with other residents - conversation somewhat hampered. But pleasant setting and ambience. Slight odour endemic to care homes but not too strong.

Following a period of respite care, Mum became a permanent resident and began to settle well into her new surroundings. Unfortunately a hospital stay was necessary but the Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home staff on duty at the time provided wonderful care and support during the very long wait
for an ambulance. The look of pure joy on her face when she was returned home was a delight to see.
Everyone who works at Collingtree has been invariably helpful and caring, both in their dealings with Mum and the wider family. We feel this care home was an excellent choice.

Mum spent over 2 weeks in hospital with a very unpleasant bacterial infection. Visually impaired and in isolation, she became very anxious. Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home ladies came in to assess for return, making mum really smile for the first time in weeks. Her return to her room was so
welcoming - staff came to see her, the radio was on, heating turned up and everything was immaculately cleaned. The warmth of that welcome made the transition so easy for mum - she said it was lovely to be 'home'. She continues to have excellent care. Collingtree is definitely the best choice we could have made.

I feel safe here and enjoy the pleasant gardens.
It is good to have company, but also I like my own room.
I enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles and have a large table in my room to leave partly finished puzzles on.

My friend was left in a broken hospital bed that beeped intermittently for over a week. I reported this and it was eventually repaired but not for some time.
My main concern was that although your aesthetic is amazing, my friend developed sores as there was no cream!
I ordered some cream for her.
When they'd used it up, they asked her if her friend could buy more! Not impressed!

She joins in all activities.

The care my husband receives from the carers is excellent. They are kind, patient and understanding of his problems. Sadly, there are not always enough of them available when help is needed. On the occasion last month, even the carers were stressed as they felt unable to help everyone due to
understaffing.
There is a severe lack in communication between relatives and management. Minutes from a meeting, at the beginning of May, have still not been distributed. Changes in senior staffing occur with no notification before or after the event.
