In my opinion, there are care homes and care complexes; this is a care home in every sense of the world. You feel this is a home where everyone is made to feel part of the family.

My mum has been in Five Gables for just over 2 years now and it's the best decision she made. Everyone goes above and beyond to help and care for her. All the staff are very welcoming to our family members and look after my mum extremely well.

I am a volunteer, but I am also a friend to the family of one of the residents.
Even though the resident was not very responsive but he had very good care, and he also had other possible treatments, the same as others would.
This care home feels like the own home. So, if in my life I will have
to go into care, I would like to go into this care home or home like this.

My wife's grandma moved in @ end of August 2024, and the care she has received has been exemplary. Her general well-being seems to have improved over the past year. Can't praise the staff enough.

My Auntie is a resident and it's extremely happy, she feels it's home. It's very important to her that she feels relaxed and safe and has helped us as a family move forward into this phase of her life and the care required. We have been warmly welcomed at the home and feel part of the daily
activities which are very well communicated to us. Thank you team!

Elizabeth has settled well and staff are also staff are very nice . Room is nice . Loves having her hair doing with lovely hairdresser . . She seems to enjoy the food and they deal with her diabetics
Easy parking to visit . Nice that they take her out on little trips. Nice lounge with large

A warm friendly environment for dad the service provided it excellent dads needs are more than catered for nothing too much trouble . The events that they run are fun and stimulating for the residence it's win win place to place your loved ones when that time comes

My Mum moved into five Gables in June, she has dementia & we could not manage anymore, looking after her at home. I told her she was going to stay in a hotel, and they would look after her for me. Which it sure is a 5 Star hotel. All the staff are so kind, helpful & professional in their
approach Ttowards my Mum & the other residents.
Five Gables has a really family feel, with excellent freshly cooked meals, everyday. I am so pleased they had a room for my Mum.

Our mother was a resident for almost 2 years until she passed away in May 2025. The care and compassion she received was second to none. They looked after mum and all our family wonderfully. Thank you to all the staff.

My mum was looked after by the excellent staff in Five Gables for almost 2 years. She was given her dignity throughout and allowed the level of care she needed. When the time came that she was end of life she was on full care and could not have been kept more comfortable. Staff were professional but
friends to mum and the family, they loved her as much as we did.

Mum visited Five Gables Kirkby in Ashfield about 2 years ago on respite and liked it so much that she decided to make it her permanent home just a few weeks later. The staff at Five Gables have been exceptional in providing mums care and mum came to love each and every one of the staff. Nothing is
too much effort and I would not hesitate to recommend Five Gables to anyone in the future. Mum passed away this week in happy surroundings and my family and I are sincerely grateful to everyone for everything they did.

The Five Gables is a wonderful place. The staff are warm and friendly and provide excellent care. Nothing is too much trouble and they will go the extra mile to ensure needs are met. There is a range of activities provided and Mum loves to go out on visits to the local area. It makes such a
difference to our family, knowing that Mum is so well looked after.

Dad is very happy here, all the carers are amazing and friendly.
The care he receives is exceptional and we would recommend this home
He looks forward to all the outings they provide.

The compassion and patience shown to my father are endless. His needs are complex, yet it's never too much for any of his carers; they go above and beyond with all they do for him. Taking the time to feed him and cater to what he's able to eat, shows the level of care offered to residents.

Lovely place, my mum loves it here, very respectful to all residents, all the ladies help mum. They have numerous activities daily, my mom loves joining in and has met some lovely friends. Lovely bright rooms.

My dad moved into Five Gables three weeks ago following a Hospital stay. I can honestly say he is receiving first class care. Yes the building not being purpose built isn't perfect but it very manageable, friendly, inviting and you feel like you are entering your relatives home. The staff are good
at communicating any issues to family, patient, attentive, kind, friendly and dedicated. My dad is even being took for a pint this week, how fantastic is that! My dad hasn't looked this well in a long time, due to stimulation and constant quality care. Thanks a million.

My dad came in for respite while mum recovered from knee surgery as she is his main carer at home. Dad has mobility issues and suffers chronic pain, the home absolutely excelled in care, absolutely fabulous carers who were kind and very supportive. Nothing was to much trouble, just a fabulous place,
home from home atmosphere. Thank you!
