View Full Details of The Hazelford Residential HomeMassive thanks to the care home manager for taking time to "understand" my mum and her complex needs. Nothing is too much trouble for him and he has gone above and beyond. I am truly thankful and he is an amazing ambassador for your company.
Firstly, I would like to thank all the staff for making the VE Day celebrations so special for both the residents and relatives. The decorations, afternoon tea and staff involvement made it so memorable. From the first day my husband went into Hazelford, every effort has been made to get to know him and his needs by the manager and all his staff, which has made Hazelford feel like his home. They also appreciate how difficult the decision is to place a loved one into care. They are always so approachable and reassuring, and the kindness and support have been invaluable. We will always be grateful to the manager and his dedicated staff for looking after my husband and for welcoming and involving the family. We have never been able to find the care and compassion any other than 'above and beyond', thank you.
Manager is understanding and always available for any questions you may have, senior care team members very knowledgeable about loved ones, and the care team there is nothing that is to much, the whole staff go above and beyond to make sure his needs are met, my dad is very happy here, extremely well cared for Treated with dignity and respect, Care is very person centred and evident when you see the team with them, It feels like home from home and an extended family Home is a happy place full of smiles despite how hard the pressure is at times Also the staff that never get mentioned such as the admin, chef and maintenance they all get involved if and where needed Thank you and keep up good work
I honestly can't thank Hazelford enough. My dad has now been in Hazelford for 2 months and is thriving. The care I see my dad receive is fantastic, the cleanliness of the home is really good. My dad is always smiling now.
The home could do with a complete overhaul but the carers and staff do very good.
Care home is excellent and the staff always go above and beyond couldnt ask for more especially from the manager he gos out his way to make reaidents and familys feel welcome brilliant service couldnt ask for more
Under the circumstances that my grandad was placed into the home, the staff and the manager couldn't have been more supportive and helpful. The manager remained in frequent contact throughout the initial process of moving my grandad and advised us as to what he thought was best but ultimately allowed us to make the decision that was fit for my family and my grandad as an individual. We were shown a variety of different rooms to pick from and allowed to bring some of his personal items from home to make him feel more comfortable. The manager has been very persistent regarding my grandad's medications and the appointments he needs. The staff are always friendly and this home suits my grandad's needs and his personality well.
Staff all really friendly, facilities well kept and feels welcoming and trustworthy, lovely setting and the staff make it a wonderful home. A little TLC to the building would be beneficial but overall a really good experience.
When meeting staff & management they were friendly & helpful & the ethos of management was everything I wanted for my dad. The home is in need of some updating but the care is what is important to me as I have worked in the care sector myself.
My father has only recently moved to Hazleford and we have all been blown away by what a positive experience it has been. The staff and manager are simply brilliant, working so hard and showing real genuine kindness - not a skill that can be faked. Even the maintenance man introduced himself to me and had a chat - I was made to feel so welcome. The fact that family are welcome any time is so reassuring. The building is old, but lovely and most importantly clean and fresh smelling. His room is great, and he is loving the food - I don't know if all care homes give 2 choices for lunch, but I was quite envious ! Overall, the team at Hazleford have taken what was a difficult stress filled situation for us, and made it positive. Thank you
During the six months that my father has been at Hazelford, I cannot fault the care he is receiving. The entire team make sure that not only he, but that the family, are involved in every aspect of his wellbeing and are supported through changes. As his needs become greater so does his care. The recent evaluation of the residents due to the risk of flooding must have been very difficult for all concerned and thanks again must go to the staff for minimising the effect on the residents and re-assuring them. We were updated as to not only where my father was being transferred, but very regularly given news on how he was settling. As a family we could not ask for more. Thank you to the entire Hazelford staff for your compassion and devotion and helping not only my father but the whole family through this time.
My Mum has only been at Hazelford since late December, but the manager and carers know her so well and show her so much care and attention. I'm amazed at how much effort the team put in to really get to know Mum and make sure they meet her needs. Yes, the building could do with the attention, although clear but it's the care that makes this place special. If it was a hotel and judged on this alone it would be a 5-star! Thank you so much.
Everyone seems pleasant and happy and helpful. One of the residents was asking for her glasses, they got broken and she wanted them to be able to see properly and have a go at writing. I hope this is followed up as she did tell someone so when I next visit she has them as she couldn't see me well enough. Everything great here.
I have been really happy with the care my family member has received. Staff are always bright, helpful and attentive. We have regularly wanted to visit outside usual hours, and this has been made possible by staff being so helpful. Residents have wide-ranging needs, and the approach of staff has always been attentive and caring, in sometimes, challenging times.
My mother-in-law has been resident at The Hazelford for several years and we have always felt that the home has provided a safe and caring environment for her. The staff I have seen with her are caring and respectful towards her whilst retaining a sense of humour. The home and its staff have been particularly good at encouraging and developing her mobility which was very poor when she first became resident. The Hazelford is an old repurposed building - not always easy to maintain but it is good to see continuing investment.
I have always found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The only thing I'd change would be a refurbishment of the rooms.
Staff are always friendly and attentive. Mum has built some great relationships with them. An old building that could do with a refresh but the team are doing a great job of getting to grips with the place.
Great care and support from the staff and management. Excellent food and drink. Overall experience was great.
Friendly staff, clean and welcoming. The new manager has made massive improvements. Since the last time I came it seems more organised and it is easier to navigate to the rooms.
Really friendly, and always a warm welcome. The staff are great with everybody Was very unsure about my dad coming here because you hear stories but I am very pleased and have peace of mind knowing that my dad is in a safe place and well looked after. A big thank you to all the staff and the wonderful job they are doing.
