This is an excellent care home with a very friendly atmosphere. Staff are welcoming and caring and numerous activities are arranged for each day of the week to suit every taste. Relatives are kept well informed and up to date.
I would highly recommend this lovely care home to anyone looking for a
new home for a loved one.

The care home was very helpful in a difficult situation Mum did not want to go into a carehome and was in a state of shock when she got there. Her arrival could have been managed a little more sensitively. Several staff breezed in to say welcome which she wasn't prepared for. She had a nice room
with a lovely view of the trees, which helped as she didn't really want to leave her room.
She said she wasn't happy there and was desperate to leave but I don't know why. She suffers from memory loss so she couldn't explain. It is possible that she didn't like men attending to her. This should be a specific question when a new resident arrives.
The manager was extremely helpful throughout the stay. I did not deal with any other staff so that it is a lot to ask of the manager. She helped me move Mum after respite to another Runwood home, near my home.
Admin was all sorted on the day of arrival, including getting a daily newspaper.

My 96 year old Mum came to this care home 10 days ago it was a hard decision for all the family.. but it was the right decision. The care home is beautiful almost like a 5 star hotel, you walk in and immediately it feels like a safe and loving environment. The staff are amazing, kind gentle and
welcoming. I was and my family were very impressed . Took Mum a couple of days to adjust but she is very happy at Leawood Manor . Would definitely recommend it 5 star!!! Thankyou Hera and staff for all your hard work and Support, we really appreciate it .

My mother spent 2 weeks at Leawood Manor for respite having been discharged from hospital after having a fall. Sadly, the only room available was on the upper floor, usually designated for those suffering from dementia. Although this did not affect the care she received, I think she would have
been more at ease on the ground floor. This aside, the care, the facilities and the staff are second to none. And if necessary, I know she would be more than happy to return (on the ground floor)

My mother is a long term resident and I am very happy with the care she receives. I do not live close by so it is very important that I have confidence in the care she receives, Leawood Manor provides excellent care and facilities.

Mum is very happy and I am very satisfied with the level of care that she is currently receiving. She eats well due to the varied diet that she is provided with and even though she is virtually bed bound she appears to be in good health. Many thanks to the management and staff at Leawood for their
help and support.

We moved my father (94 years old) into Leawood Manor mid February following a fall and hospital stay from which he needed more dedicated support than he could get from standard home visits. From day 1, the staff were welcoming and implemented the agreed level of care was outlined in the agreed care
plan. The manager is fully engaged in the wellbeing of residents and relatives any issues or changes needed quickly. Sadly my father passed away in March and we were treated professionally and with dignity throughout.

Leawood and the staff have been great for my Mum. She has dementia and was confused and very unsettled when she first moved in. Shes now far more settled and relaxed.
All of the staff are helpful, friendly and supportive
I would recommend Leawood for anyone who is looking for a suitable place for a
loved one.

My mother went into Leawood Manor for 16 days respite owing to the fact that I was on holiday and she had been unwell with shingles. This was the first experience of a care home for my mother and unfortunately it wasn't a good experience. She does not suffer from memory issues but the bed available
to her was on a corridor with dementia patients so she did not enjoy eating in the dining room. As she was in pain she didn't appreciate the food. The manager was excellent in every way, responding immediately to any concerns and actioning instructions, she was most personable and totally professional.

My father has been at Leawood Manor for 5 years, and it is an excellent care home. The staff are friendly, it is spotlessly clean and the food is excellent. They have an activities coordinator who works extremely hard to keep the residents happy and mobile.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone
looking for care for themselves or a loved one.

Mum has now been at Leawood Manor for 4 months. It has took a little while but she is now settling in and loves all the carers and staff there. Her health has improved a lot because of the care, good food and constant company she gets. There are plenty of activities, varied to suit all needs and Mum
really enjoys the trips out which are always great fun for her and a chance to meet other residents. We can not fault the standard of care and if we ever do have any feedback it is responded to quickly.

Mum has been a resident of Leawood Manor for nearly two years. Friends recommended it and we knew it had a good reputation. It wasn't a smooth introduction to Leawood as mum had a lot of health issues and took a while to fully settle.
Now, under the new manager, she seems so much happier and feels
very much at home. She loves her ground floor room and access to the garden, very much at the centre of activities. She is a supporter of the Ambassador system and feels that residents are listened to, along with the monthly meetings.
I too, appreciate the family meetings, the weekly emails and general accessibility of the staff. Resident of the day, after initial hiccups, has been an excellent idea. It was good to revisit mum's care plan recently which I hadn't seen since she moved in. The events programme has been good and is now easily accessible, so that relatives can support and encourage their loved ones. The introduction of a personal history for each resident is an excellent idea.

I have been made very welcome here by all the staff. My room is comfortable and cleared thoroughly every day. The food is well cooked in the kitchen and is always fresh. We have a choice of main course most meals.

Father is not the easiest of resident with continual moaning, complaining about staff, and refusing to do as staff ask. I have been impressed at how the staff have handled various situations in what is already a stressful situation.
Management are good at keeping me informed about situations and
also after GP visits. There is a noticeable improvement in communications over the last month between the care home and relatives of residents.

always something to keep the residents interested and entertained

We were concerned that our relative had just received her breakfast at 11.00am. She regularly complains about not being up at normal times. We have visited several times mid morning to find her just starting her breakfast.

Leawood Manor provides high quality care for my friend. It is well managed and the staff are friendly and professional and work hard to keep everyone happy. There's a good standard of hygiene and the accommodation is spacious, comfortable and modern. She enjoys her meals and all her dietary needs
are consistently met. Her medical needs are well monitored and managed. The kindness and support she receives enables her still to do things that mean a lot to her even though dementia has affected her memory and other aspects of daily living.
