Although my mother didn't make it into Newgate Lodge as her status was changed to end of life we'd originally planned for her to go here for a few weeks to help her recover. Can't say enough about how friendly and helpful the team were. Would not hesitate in recommending this care home. Special

Newgate Lodge is the best care home in the Mansfield area. Nothing is too much trouble for all the staff. My nana is blown away by the care she is receiving and this makes my family and I very happy knowing she is safe and well looked after. I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone
considering going into care. Thank you to all at Newgate Lodge.

Volunteered at the Summer Fayre. The amount of effort that was put into this was amazing. Staff were lovely and attentive to the residents needs, staff spent time with residents and the residents families. We were made to feel welcome. It was a lovely experience.

The home is always warm and comfortable and is regularly updating facilities and furniture. Staff are always friendly, approachable and Barbara and Stacey particularly ensure my mums health needs are seen to very quickly.
I have always found communication between staff and residents is excellent,
Barbara also talks to my mum via sign language which she finds helps her enormously.
There are regular external entertainers arranged and daily activities for everyone to join in with which Mel and Leanne do a fabulous job with
I know my mum is well looked after

Lovely care home, all the staff are amazing, they always have time to have a chat with my mum. The place is spotless and always smells lovely. All appointments are sorted out, so the only thing I have to do is spend quality time with my mum.

I cannot praise all the staff enough. They are all very caring. And at times went above and beyond their roles. It is an excellent home, good facilities, serve nutritious food and the entertainment team put on an excellent range of activities. It is a very homely place.

My mother has been in this care home since April 2025
She had spent 5 weeks in hospital for a fall were she had broken her arm
She looked so Ill when she arrived at Newgate care lodge
She is 85 and is well in the midst of vascular dimentia
I really thought she wasent going to last
But what can I
say , her transformation , she looks so healthy & cared for .
An amazing turn around & it's all a massive thank you to every single carer that works here
These people are dedicated to give there lodgers a happy environment with plenty of entertainment
Thank you all the team at Newgate lodge , your are so amazing
I just don't know where we would have been without you

Moved in 4 years ago and they consistently provide excellent person centred care in a safe loving home environment. Excellent staff, cooks, cleaners, carers, office workers working together to support the people who live and work at Newgate. One big team. Newgate was the best decision.

The Lodge seems well organised with friendly, chatty staff. We found it clean and inviting. It was an open day and quite busy but plenty of helpful staff and the residents were well cared for. We were made to feel welcome and enjoyed our day there.

The staff are always pleasant, very friendly, caring and helpful. Sister always seems happy. Everywhere was clean and had been decorated since our last visit. Nothing seems too much trouble for the staff

I want to say a huge thank you to the staff for the care mum has received following her fall and ensuing hip op. Visiting her yesterday, I was amazed at how well and how quickly she has recovered her mobility; way beyond what I expected. This is down to the dedication of the team who have followed
up the medical procedure with such care and attention. A special thank you to Barbara for her encouragement and determination to get mum moving. I know that mum appreciates all the kindness shown to her at Newgate Lodge.

From initial meeting and viewing of the facilities the process of accommodating my mother has been excellent.
Communication has been first class and the care being offered is good.
The standards of cleanliness is very good and the staff have been welcoming and very helpful.

Newgate Lodge is a welcoming, supportive, caring home. All the staff have made a stressful time easier for myself and my sister. When you go there it is like having a second family. They take the time to listen to you and treat the residents with respect. I would recommend the home.

My Mum is very well looked after, she is happy and she participates in all the activities. She looks well, so I'm more than happy. I would like to thank everyone who works at Newgate Lodge for looking after my Mum.

I wanted to reach out and say thank you to you and to the amazing staff of Newgate Lodge Care Home. My grandmother was only there for a few days but everyone there made those few days beautiful. I know how much I loved my visit there and how impressed I was with every person I had contact with.
They were all genuine and lovely to talk to. I loved seeing how gentle they were with my grandma and I can't tell you how much their love and care meant to me. Newgate Lodge was the answer to all our prayers and I felt so good leaving my grandma in your capable hands, I only wish it could have been for a little longer.
Thank you all for everything. I am so grateful for all of you and I appreciate everything you did for my grandma and her family.

My mother came to Newgate 7 1/2 years ago, the outlook only being for 6 months but with the love and care given by all the staff, we had her for a further 7 years. This was down to all the staff's love, stimulation and encouragement. We would like to say that the staff and management all do really
Care with a capital "C" about all the residents they look after. We have found that not only do they care about their residents, they also look after and support family members, as we have found a few times over the years. We never had concerns about Mum's eating, as she always cleared the plate, the food provided is freshly cooked on the premises every day and very nutritious. The day Mum passed the staff's support, and love was immeasurable they helped with everything that needed doing, their arms were around us in a very caring way, this is how the staff are and it's exactly how they look after the people, one big family. We will be forever grateful to everyone involved in Mum's care. Highly recommend.

The team took the time to understand my dad's needs and preferences, offering personalized care that made him feel comfortable and at home. Their professionalism and dedication gave us peace of mind during such a difficult time, which was invaluable.
I highly recommend Newgate Lodge Care to anyone seeking outstanding care for their loved ones. The kindness and support we experienced will always hold a special place in our hearts.

The staff are absolutely outstanding. The activities that they do with the residents are so good. The residents are always kept occupied. I can't thank the care staff enough for all the care they have given to my mum, even when she's not being particularly kind to them. They always wear a smile.
