We currently live in Norwich, it is difficult sometimes to work out the travelling time to meet visiting times. We have got their latter than advertised, the staff could not of been more helpful. A big thank you to one staff member in particular, and all the other great staff. Thanks for looking after our family member.
Met the manager for the first time recently. She offered a lot of confidence for future care and needs. My sister-in-law has been treated very well by staff.
The new manager introduced herself. A very kind, warm, friendly and approachable person informed us of a future coffee morning: how nice. During our visits we've been treated with respect, everyone is very courteous, gentle full of empathy and compassion for the residents, and nothing is too much trouble. (Not seen activities as visits are only 1 hr). Can't comment on previous, been ages saw her once in over 12 months, can't comment on food (not there at meal times) very happy with care.
My husband went into Abbotsbury, it saved my life as he was very violent, they saved my life and I had a lot of help from staff at Abbotsbury. I can not thank them enough and one was my rock, she is a lovely person. I am sure he will be there because of staff but one is my favourite because I have watched and she is very good with all the patients. I think she know her job and as I have said I feel very lucky for my husband to be there with good people. Thank you very much x
The staff at Abbotsbury are kind and caring generally. They treat the residents with respect which is always good to see. The food is mostly home cooked which again is a positive aspect and the cakes are delicious, the chef not only makes good food but also has a great relationship with the residents, taking the time to chat. I feel that maybe there could be more activities provided but on the whole I'm quite happy with mum's care.
I am confident that my mum gets the best care possible at Abbotsbury. I appreciate the care and support and know mum appreciates it too. Mum has recently had her hair done by the resident hairdresser and she is very happy with it. This makes a great deal of difference to mums mood.
My partner has been in care for just over twelve months, management and staff have provided her with excellent care, helping her to settle and getting her more involved with activities with other residents. She keeps telling me that she loves her room and the cleaners keep it spotless.
The team at Abbotsbury have been absolutely wonderful, exceptionally patient with my confused mum. Nothing has been too much trouble, they have kept me fully up to date with what's happening with my mum. All the staff are warm and friendly they all seen to have an understanding on mums needs. The home itself is very clean and welcoming to visitors.
We (the family) are very pleased with the attitude of the staff and the home overall. Very helpful and friendly staff, the staff made it for us.
Always great care, very friendly and caring staff, lovely food. Lots of activities. The home is always very clean. My relative is really happy there is always dressed lovely and very clean. Nicely kept gardens. Thank you to all the staff.
I find the management and staff are excellent and if I have any questions they are addressed very professionally and efficiently. My husband is happy in Abbotsbury and I visit him often and am always made very welcome.
My friend seems well, she is always tidy and well kept. She is happy most of the time and gets on well with the staff who try their best to accommodate her needs. As a friend of a resident I think she is lucky to live in such a lovely place.
Our mum stayed at Abbotsbury Care Home recently for several weeks as an interim placement between hospital discharge and returning home. We found all the staff to be professional, helpful and friendly. This was Mum's first care home experience and as a result of the staff's excellent care and attention she settled quickly and was very happy there. Mum and all the residents were treated with great care and respect at all times. My brother and I do not live local to Mum so communication through the staff was very important to us. They were always keen to let us know how Mum was getting on when we phoned and happy to facilitate Mum talking to us directly whenever we rang. We would be happy to use Abbotsbury again should Mum need a care home in the future
Everybody in the home from managers to cleaners was very friendly and helpful at all times. They all treated me as a friend and I have made some new friends with the staff. I would recommend this home to anybody who needs a good care home.
Having the pleasure of visiting my dear friend over Christmas was very reassuring. It was cheery, welcoming and although staff were away from their own families they treated the residents like their own. Smiles all around with a very inclusive atmosphere. There has been a lot of improvement recently. Had a wonderful day thank you.
My mum is warm, well-fed, clean and happy amongst friendly staff and residents. She thrives in her surroundings and input from those around her. When visiting her family is updated and kept in the loop either verbally or by phone.
When I go to visit my nan the staff are always lovely and it's nice and clean. My nan enjoys living in Abbotsbury very much. If we need something, there is always someone on hand to help, nothing is ever too much. The new ramp makes a huge difference and the rooms are being freshened up which is lovely. Highly recommend the home for anyone looking for a nice place for their loved one to be cared for.
My cousin is really happy and kept safe. She loves the food, staff are always really good with her. The new management team are amazing and have really improved the home, taking time to listen. So happy to know that my cousin is so well looked after.
Mum has been in the home for just over 12 months overall she seems happy in herself, she suffers from dementia. I would like to see more activities going on with the residents and outside activities in the summer. I feel there is a lack of communication on some levers maybe on a social media platform, it would be nice to see her joining in activities. the room is always clean and tidy and she always enjoys her food.
My uncle who has dementia came here for respite care recently. He loved it here, the staff were excellent, caring and patient, and showed a great deal of empathy. The manager was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure my uncle was supported and put at ease as he gets very anxious in unfamiliar settings. He was treated with dignity and respect throughout. I would definitely recommend this lovely home.
