I have completed this to the best of my knowledge I can only comment on what I see when I visit. The only negative I can comment on is the pack of activities. However this may happen when I am not there? Also my father has Alzheimer's so may not always want to participate.

The dales care home is not just a care home it is now part of the family. Can't express how grateful we are to have the dales caring for my mum . They go above and beyond always compassionate and caring for all the residents. Nothing ever to much . The dales have given us complete peace of mind and
mum loves all the staff . Highly recommended here for us as much as mum

My husband has been living here for the past 9 months and I have found all the many staff to be very caring, patient but firm when dealing with him during the different phases he has gone through with his dementia Alzheimers and other health issues.
I have always been kept informed of any
incidents, safeguarding issues, changes in his health and medication, visits from the GP and nurses and the outcomes.
I like the fact that he is brought down to sit in the communal areas, where he has company and where he originally joined in the activities but sadly at this stage he only remembers the words to sing when the 60's music is played.
All the many staff are welcoming to us visiting, whether it's myself, our friends and relatives, which is appreciated and receive a drink of tea or coffee.

Since my dad moved into The Dales all the staff have been amazing and so friendly and supportive
They have helped my dad settle really well into his new home
Staff have been prompt in identifying any new health issues with my dad and have always kept me informed on his day to day needs.
It is a
lovely safe environment and my dad is enjoying accessing the garden now the weather is getting warmer

We honestly cannot recommend this care home enough. The staff are absolutely wonderful - so kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They love listening to my mum sing, which always makes her smile, and whenever we visit there's always time for a friendly chat and a cuppa. It really feels like a home,
not just a care setting.
Mum is always on the move, walking around the home, but the staff are constantly looking out for her and making sure she's safe while still letting her be herself. It gives us such peace of mind knowing how well they know her and how carefully they look after her.
During a recent situation when we had to call an ambulance for Mum, the paramedics had nothing but praise for the staff and even commented on how lovely the home is - which says so much. The home is always spotless and clean, but more importantly it's full of warmth, compassion, and kindness. We are so grateful for everything they do for Mum and for us as a family.

My dad has been at The Dales since 28/07/25, and settled straight away, in this time I've experienced nothing but kindness, polite, care staff and manager always available whenever need to talk. I would recommend The Dales to any other family who have to make the hard decision to put a family member
into full time care. Keep up the excellent/high standard work.

The Dales are caring for our 90 year old mother. From our first contact with the home, all the staff from the management team to the nursing staff have been very responsive, professional, patient, helpful and cheerful. They have a very hands-on attitude and engage a lot with the residents. We feel
confident that our mother is in good hands.

My aunt spent the last 7 weeks of her life in The Dales, the staff made her last weeks of life comfortable, she was treated with kindness, dignity and always a smile, all staff were amazing always going the extra mile. Thank you.

My mother only spent a short time at the Dales at the end of her life but it was long enough to form a very favourable impression of the care home. Facilities were clean and well managed despite the challenges presented by the residents. Staff were patient and attentive. Equally the needs of
visitors and family were well catered for. Management were always available and very responsive to questions. I can unreservedly recommend the facility to anybody looking for a quality residence for their loved ones.

Wow, what a special place! My mum had always told me to promise she won't go onto a home. This was a necessity after a prolonged hospital stay. Mum was there 6 weeks and managed to try going back home but she already misses the staff, the food and the care. There's nothing negative to say. All the
staff are so patient, caring and with a great big smile, it seems like a lovely place to work. I didn't worry about her at all, she's even been back for a visit and will be going again. If she does need the services of a home in the future I wouldn't accept anywhere else and we feel secure now that mum would be happy if she had to be there for a longer period.
Very fussy about food and had lost so much weight in hospital due to disliking the food and lack of variety. Here mum ate all her meals and puddings and her feedback was excellent.
A real real gem that we could sense on the first viewing, 1 of 4 we saw and the only one that felt like home.

The staff are all polite extremely caring and thoughtful to all residents as well as family members and friends. Staff are very friendly and a cup of tea is always offered to us which is most appreciated. I am always kept well informed regarding my Mum - If ever have questions to ask there is always
someone on hand for me to talk to.

Our family is deeply grateful for the warmth, compassion and exceptional care provided to our mother during her albeit short time at the Dales. Knowing she was in such skilled hands brought us immense comfort. We especially appreciated the attention to detail in ensuring she was always clean, tidy,
and dressed nicely-something that meant so much to both her and us.
The kindness, patience, and dignity that all of the staff showed, not only to her but also to our family, was truly remarkable. Your thoughtful efforts, especially during her final days, made her feel safe and at home. We couldn't have asked for a more caring and supportive environment.
Thank you for all you did to care for our mother and help our family through such a difficult time. Your efforts will never be forgotten.

Since being here I have had nothing but a good experience. The staff are great, they all work to a high standard. The management team also works to a high standard, going above and beyond to help in every way possible.

My great uncle who is a 89 was a resident at the Dales and has mild dementia, he was able to get out through a front door that was left open, he was missing for over an hour and had fallen down an embankment and broken his hip, the staff were unaware of his absence until we informed them that he was
with emergency services and on his way to hospital. We have reported the home to adult safeguarding and also the CQC, who are investigating. The nursing home's response has been awful. We as a family are shocked and appalled by the lack of care and awareness that has been showed to our family member.

I have found everything good, very nice staff, good food, nice room, management very good. I have just wanted to be in my own home with my dog and didn't want to be in any nursing home, but this one overall is good/very good.

The Dales is always a nice place to visit. The staff always give a warm welcome. Mum always seems to be happy and contented. The communal areas are always spotless as is mum's bedroom. The food is freshly cooked on site and there are lots of choices. Staff are very caring towards mum who has
advanced dementia showing her love frequently. We are very happy with the overall experience of The Dales.

Mum has been here for three months and has dementia although she has found the transition to the home difficult the staff have been wonderful, caring and kind. I have found my mum coming into the care home hard but the staff are always willing to listen and talk with me and I feel so reassured. I
feel my mum is well looked after here and the staff do an amazing job always smiling and helping the residents. The staff are really special I appreciate them so much I would recommend this care home, can't fault it.
