I am both pleased and grateful for the dedicated care the staff have shown to my father. His needs are many and the support we have been shown is kind and compassionate. There has been a good and immediate response to any queries and when dad needs medical attention the staff recognise this and act
accordingly. They have made a difficult transition a great deal easier.

A lovely warm , homely atmosphere. Very welcoming .
Great staff. Great management.
I sence that the residents feel safe and well looked after at Elm House. I also have a sence if a little community between residents and carers.
The home is a little dated, but overall it is the care delivered
that really matters. Warm hearted. Thank you for the care you give to my uncle.

My mother was looked after with great care and dignity for her last few weeks. All of the staff and management that we dealt with were excellent.

My nan has been at Elm House for just over a year now and the treatment from all member of staff has been excellent, really top quality. They are extremely friendly and have made my very precious nan feel at home, relaxed and well looked after.

I can highly recommend Elm House to anyone wishing to place a loved one in short or long term care. The staff are very friendly and conscientious and nothing is too much trouble.

Since my friend went into Elm House all my worries about her safety and well being have gone!! She is looked after so well and all her needs are not only catered for but also anticipated. The staff are extremely friendly and caring without exception - and they care for me too, always making me feel
welcome!!! I have no hesitation in recommending Elm House for the care of your loved ones.

This a follow up positive review after my critical comments earlier this year re. Elm House.
In the intervening period under the new management team things have improved tremendously hence my 5 stars. Whilst my auntie - who was on an end-of-life programme - recently passed away, the care,
compassion, and love that they and all the staff showed to her and gave us during this difficult period was in no uncertain terms second to none. At every step of the way they kept us informed and supported us especially at the very end. The staff's ability left little to be desired and we were very happy with them and the new processes put in place.
Whilst the home still needs modernisation things have now commenced with new building work to increase the number of rooms and re-decoration/updates, which should enhance the home and care for residents in the future. Overall things have improved greatly and I have no problem now in recommending the home, its management, and especially the staff.

I would like to give my compliments to the staff for their caring way with residents. I am very impressed with the activities and events that the home has planned for the calendar event Red Nose Day which I supported was well organised and was an afternoon of fun.
Equally Mothering Sunday was
another wonderful afternoon with high tea and drinks for the residents and visitors. It's so lovely how staff interact and does sing-along sessions which everyone enjoyed.
Well done Elm House which I must add is a very clean and caring place for my mother-in-law to be in.

The staff do their best to maintain my mum's well-being. My mum is very happy here and that means a lot to us as a family.

Over the last few months, I have become increasingly concerned about the general care and welfare of my grandmother. She is rarely dressed properly. her clothes are always going missing or being ruined in the laundry. I don’t believe she is receiving the care and attention required for her needs.

Dad only been at Elm House for a few weeks but already settled in. He is happy there and likes all the staff. What I have seen is all caring staff treating residents with respect and dignity but also having a laugh and chat.

I want to say an enormous thank you to all the staff at Elm House. Although our relative found leaving her own home challenging, the staff welcomed her warmly and encouraged her to feel at home from the outset. During her time as a resident, you respectfully allowed her to develop a daily routine
which suited her needs and made her feel in control. When her health deteriorated the staff responded in a very professional and caring way. They ensured she was made as comfortable as possible. She couldn't have been better cared for than the way she was during her final days. Enormous thank you!

Staff are excellent (sometimes understaffed). Overall very good.

The staff are kind and friendly. The rooms are small but are kept clean. Quality of food is very good, plenty of variety and lots of it. The staff manage to create a family atmosphere. Our aunt feels very safe and happy here. Nothing is too much trouble. The GP visits weekly, as does the
hairdresser. There are regular entertainments and plenty of homemade cake!

The staff have always shown respect and kindness to my mother, nothing is too much trouble, and are very welcoming when we visit.

Although my mother was only in the home for 5 weeks before passing away the care and attention she received was second to none. She was always dressed clean and tidy and her room was spotless.
My mother was cared for with kindness, compassion and understanding.

The staff at Elm House could not have been more helpful during my aunts stay with them.
They were always very pleasant and always had time to speak to us whenever we visited.
The food at the home was good and caterers soon got used to my aunt's request for breakfast which was almost always egg and
bacon.
The room she occupied was adequate and the view through the window fine.
