My mum has been a resident of New Milton House for some time. As her dementia has progressed over the years, the team has been excellent at adapting her care plan to suit her changing needs; for instance, she now uses a walking frame and they have recently added a pressure mat to her room which
triggers an alarm if she gets out of bed during the night. The staff are wonderful and truly go the extra mile for her.
Mum will be 90 this month and, as is the tradition, she will have a birthday cake made especially for her. I think it is a lovely touch that all residents are made a fuss of on their special day. The home has many activities and my mum especially enjoys the flower arranging and fitness sessions. I would highly recommend New Milton House to others.

My dad is currently a resident and has been since February.
The staff are all so lovely and really go above and beyond to care for him.
Food looks great, lots of options and they will even make him something special since his eating has declined.
It's a relief to know that he is being
well cared for - thank you.

Excellent care given to the resident's .
Staff always pleasant and helpful. Residents are taken on various outings depending on their circumstances. It's nice as the residents can wander around the home and are not restricted to their rooms.

My Mother in Law has been in New Milton House for three years . She is very settled now thanks to the wonderful care she has received all this time . The staff are exceptional, and she enjoys the food (she was a bit of a picky eater) and takes part in numerous activities put on by the home. Her
room is lovely where she can look out of her window at the garden and wildlife. Contact with the management is always excellent when needed .

Mum only joined you recently, but settled quite quickly due mainly to the staff. She missed walking every day. She has been out on walks with carers. She loved her Monday soup and sing at church. She was thrilled to go last week. She loves watching through her window, joining in activities and, very
important to mum, good food!
When I mentioned her feeling uncomfortable about the noise from rooms between hers and the toilet, this was dealt with quickly. Thank you.

Mum was at New Milton Care Home for 7 months in total, initially as respite, then it became more permanent after a month. The staff at New Milton House Care Home helped mum to settle in, and ensured she was safe and happy at all times. All of the staff are excellent, including the administration,
management, cooks, cleaners, carers, and maintenance staff - who all had a huge smile and spoke kindly to the residents and families. Mum was taken out on regular trips and took part in numerous activities arranged by the fabulous activity team. Mum always had good and positive words to say about the food, and they are offered hot and cold drinks regularly. The onsite hairdresser was amazing, and made mum look better than she had in years. The end of life care given to mum, ensured her final days were as comfortable as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend New Milton House Care Home.

The care offered is of the highest quality. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and my ex wife is being very well looked after. She is in a very lovely and loving environment. I was always sure this would be right place for her as both my parents were in there, some years back and the care is
just as good as it was then. My only observation/concern is that there could be some improvement in the fabric of some of the building, new UPVC windows to replace the old metal frames I believe are the only improvement necessary.

Mum has been at New Milton House for five months. Am delighted with high level of care she receives. She has settled well which is largely down to the lovely staff, who always have a smile on their faces.
Her health wasn't the best when she entered but her care has been excellent and she is back to
top form.
I feel the interaction she gets with being amongst people has greatly benefited her as she is a very sociable person.
The standards of cleanliness around the home cannot be faulted.
Feel lucky to have found such a place for my mum as it takes a lot of worry from me.

I have found all the staff/carers to be excellent in their upbeat and caring attitude, they are constantly interacting with the guests making their stay as easy and dare I say as much fun as is possible. The communication re my father's condition, ongoing changes in his health and knowledge of his
health/progress to be excellent. I cannot praise all them enough.

My father who is 102 moved into New Milton House in February this year, and I couldn't be happier with the level of care Dad receives. Dad suffers from chronic dementia and isn't always the easiest person to deal with. But whatever his mood he gets the care and support he needs.
I cannot say there
haven't been the odd bump in the road and things have occasionally gone amiss. But the manager and her team have always listened and resolved any issues I had with a minimum of fuss. I would have no hesitation in recommending New Milton House to both friends and family.

My mum was initially in respite care at New Milton House she has now moved to a more permanent placement. Each time I've been in contact with staff at the home, either by telephone or in person I've always been impressed by how friendly and helpful they are. I've witnessed first-hand various
interactions with my mum from staff members and they are always jovial and affirmative, which suits my mum's character. It really seems like my mum has settled in well at the home and it's just reassuring to know that her daily care needs are being met in such a caring way.

My stepmother has been a resident at New Milton House for about 21 months and over that time I have come to be impressed by the high quality of care provided. While the sound physical aspects of the home speak for themselves in providing a safe and healthy environment, it is the less tangible
aspects of care that have particularly earned my respect. My mother was a reluctant and somewhat resentful new resident seeming to find her admission stigmatising but the kindly attitudes of the staff, the happy ambience created by them and the stimulation provided by the activities have brought about a surprising and complete about-face so that she is now a happy and enthusiastic participant in the life of the home. Staff go out of their way to create opportunities for relatives and friends to share in the life of residents by way of special events and individual celebrations. I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending New Milton House for people in need of residential care.

Our family have been incredibly impressed with the care, patience, and understanding that all the staff at New Milton House have shown Dad since he arrived in May 2023. He settled into life so quickly. Given his initial resistance to leaving his home and moving into care, we were worried about how
well he would adjust. However, we needn’t have. He is happy, comfortable, feels safe and is enjoying a much more socially active lifestyle.
He particularly enjoys the in-house activities, especially baking, outings to local coffee shops, clubs, and churches. Following social media we see that he's always involved in all of these.
The collective efforts of all the staff at New Milton House have transformed what could have been a challenging time for Dad and our family into a truly stress-free, seamless transition. Knowing that he is now surrounded by caring individuals and enjoying his days without loneliness or fear in his previously confused world means more to us than words can express.

New Milton House staff are unfailingly kind and friendly whenever I visit. My relative is well cared for and seems noticeably better in terms of personal bodily care and relief of worry than he was when living alone with increasing health issues. Staff have been able to arrange small comforts, such
as regular newspaper delivery. My relative doesn't seem to join in with social life there, but then he's always been a loner. The home smells nice! (Not all care homes do!) There was, for a time, difficulty getting let in to visit, but this seems to have been sorted out by use of different doorbells. I'm having difficulty getting a statement of account from head office. I feel fortunate to be able to have my relative cared for so well so near to my home. Thank you.

All the staff at New Milton House made our mum's final months as comfortable and caring as possible. At all times we felt she was in great hands and all the staff who we spoke to never found it too much trouble to take time out of their busy schedules to answer our questions on her welfare. Each and
every one of you are a credit to New Milton. Thank you.
