View Full Details of Richmond Villages NantwichFrom initial enquire to mum being welcomed into the care home, the enthusiasm, compassionate caring and knowledge shown by all the staff have been exemplary. The premises are exceptionally clean and maintained to a very high standard.
My Mother came to Richmond Care Home shortly after her 95th Birthday. After a while she became very happy with all the activities provided by an amazing team. She realised she was experiencing a good social life and lots of varied entertainments. In fact, I could see that she had a 'new lease of life' which lasted quite a long time. Sadly, as she became more poorly, she needed more care and help. The nursing and care staff were once again an amazing team. Second to none! My family and I were always welcomed by Receptionists who were helpful and understanding. This was particularly appreciated by me on my many visits to see Mum. Many thanks are due to All Staff
My mother who has dementia has been a resident of the care home for just over a year now, the care she has received has been exceptional, the staff are very patient and know how to manage my mother to minimise the stress and anxiety. The staff are all very friendly and make us feel welcome when ever we visit. The activities team are all very hard working and have a wide range of things going on every day catering for a wide range of interests. I cant fault the team at Richmond, Nantwich, I would highly recommend the home to anyone.
My parents relocated here in 2011 and bought an independent living apartment within the Richmond Village complex. They enjoyed the activities and convenience of the restaurant on site, in addition to the tailored level of care available from the wonderful staff. My father died in 2013 and my mother continued to live in the apartment until 2022, when she decided to move into the attached care home. From the day she entered the care home, my mother couldn't have received better treatment from the care staff. They were all excellent, and the level of sensitivity and support they provided to my mother, and myself whenever I visited was exceptional. In fact I would go as far as to say each staff member became like a friend to me. I will particularly remember and be grateful the kindness shown to me when my mother sadly reached the end of her life. The level of personal care and attention given to my mother was heartwarming and comforting to myself and my sister. I'm forever grateful
All the staff are fabulous, from reception to kitchen to carers. Mum has been here on and off for 3 months now, I can finally sleep at night , knowing that she is safe and there is help at hand 24/7 should she require it. The carers seem to genuinely "care" which is a rarity these days. Plenty of activities and entertainment is always available should anyone wish to join in. It would be difficult to get Mum out at the moment, but the fact we can join in with activities or meet and have lunch with her at Richmond, means a lot. The staff seem to be a bit stretched sometimes, whether more are needed? but there are always going to be busier times of the day I suppose. I just hope we can keep her here for as long as possible!
If you can afford it then Richmond Village Care Home in Nantwich is a great place to care for an elderly person. The care is excellent and there are activities to suit all tastes. It's best asset though is its staff - not just the carers but also the activity team, reception team and management.
Grandad waited over 30 minutes to go to toilet and bed. I believe more care staff are needed, especially at bedtime, the girls are fantastic but there are not enough of them to assist people who are not able to help themselves due to mobility. Also only one stand aid in place of care to service all residents is not acceptable! Especially the fees!
My Mum is a resident at Richmond Village Care Home, St. Joseph's, Nantwich, and has lived there for almost 15 months. She has settled very well and the staff have shown her great kindness, care, and support. She particularly values how members of staff and fellow residents will stop by her open door and have a chat with her or a cheery remark as they pass. Everyone is helpful and friendly from the lovely, pleasant, professional carers, cleaners, restaurant staff, maintenance team, gardeners and drivers, and receptionists, to the wonderful entertainment team. We visit my Mum regularly and it is a tremendous comfort to us to know she is kept safe and cared for respectfully and compassionately. in such beautiful surroundings. It is also reassuring for my Mum to have the continuity of familiar faces delivering high-quality care in a way that helps my Mum to retain her dignity and maintain a level of independence whilst being gently, carefully, and discreetly monitored.
There are few words to describe watching your parents age and decline. Both of our parents moved to Richmond Villages and have received the warmest and most excellent care from all who work at Richmond Villages. Recently, our beloved and wonderful father passed away after a long illness just before the Christmas Holiday. Not only did Dad receive daily care filled with dignity, love and compassion, but his wife, his children and families were wrapped in comfort, love and support. Down each corridor every person met us with a hug, condolences, a kind word and support. We miss our dad every moment of every day, but we cannot fault the love and care he received while at Richmond Villages, the same wonderful care our mother is receiving there. Thank you to all of the glorious staff at Richmond Villages, we couldn't ask for any better.
Mum has been in the care home for nearly 12 months when her needs increased. It was a very difficult decision to make. However, Richmond Village Care Home is now her new home, and she feels very much at home in this unique environment. She is treated with the utmost respect, and the staff (both carers and non-carers) are amazing and make Mum feel part of the community. Food is of an excellent standard and the building is continually kept at a very high standard.
My mother moved into Richmond Village in March 2024. From the moment she arrived, she was made welcome and cared for. The transition moving from her home was smooth and Mum settled in immediately with the loving care and attention 'Richmond offers. All of the staff are kind, caring and respectful and I can't thank them all enough.
I spent 2 weeks here for rehab and can say nothing but praise for the service I received. All the staff I met were friendly from day one. Any queries or requests were dealt with immediately and were usually over and above the call of duty. The food was excellent, medication was dealt with on time and a quiet watch made sure that I was ok, regularly. Overall the rooms are spotless and well maintained. My washing was collected and returned promptly. Tea and coffee were available on call. Altogether a very pleasant stay.
My mother recently came out of hospital after a three-week stay and arrived back to Richmond late at night. Staff went out of their way to help and accommodate her, even after working a hard 8-hour shift. The carers have shown their true commitment, professionalism and great kindness in dealing with mother over recent weeks as her mobility has worsened. They have made every effort to make her feel safe and well cared for. Staff from all departments of the care home go out of their way to pass the time of day with her which is invaluable when a resident is room-based. The care home is well-presented and maintained. The grounds are attractive and a great credit to the home - they must bring residents much pleasure. The Activities team provide a wide range of activities to encourage participation by all. They are extremely dedicated to ensuring residents have a wonderful time. The reception area and staff are very professional, helpful and provide a lovely welcome.
Thank you all for the kindness and support you have shown my parents on their recent move to you, giving our family much time, understanding and patience. Everyone shows compassion and care in a professional manner and are on hand when we need to talk. Staff worked hard to prepare for my parents' arrival and are now building strong relationships, treating them with respect and dignity. Communication is excellent with the care home manager and team leaders, any queries are answered quickly. The environment is beautiful, including the grounds and everywhere is spotlessly clean. We can see significant investment in the quality of décor and room furnishings. Much thought has been given to the activity programme and matching the cultural needs of the residents. Yesterday's D-Day commemorations were wonderful. Your hospitality and catering is excellent. The food is of high quality with individual needs readily acknowledged. It is beautifully presented and there is a lovely choice of menu.
My mother spent the last 3 weeks of her life in Richmond Village (Nantwich) care home. She was at a time in her life when her health was failing and she was very vulnerable. The staff could not have been kinder. They went out of their way to accommodate her wishes and make her feel safe and comforted. My sisters and I are very grateful for the care my mother received.
Thank you, for your kindness, support and professional manner in which you all took part in looking after Mum. From our first visit, we were welcomed into the warm and caring environment of Richmond, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I was able to lift the weight from my shoulders and actually sleep knowing Mum was being looked after 24/7. I want to thank the reception ladies the pair of them always greeted you with a smile, a cup of tea and even a biscuit. The carers who turned mum every two hours to prevent bed sores and the housekeeping team who kept everywhere spotless, with clean bedding and towels. From school children to visiting donkeys, I have never experienced a place with so many different activities. A special heartfelt thanks goes out to the carer, who took care of Mum right up until the very end, you certainly went that extra mile. You must love your job, for it shines through. I'm sorry I cannot remember everyone's name. Thanks again.
My mum had multiple health problems which impacted on her physical and mental health well-being which is why she needed 24-hour care. She was very distressed regarding her loss of independence but had complete trust and confidence in all the care staff at Richmond. The kind and compassionate care of all the team which was at all times knowledgeable and professional made my mum feel safe and secure in Richmond which became her home. During my mum’s final weeks before she died her wishes were fully respected and she was treated with the utmost dignity and kindness. As were myself and other family members during this distressing time.
I am submitting this review on behalf of my elderly mother who has just spent the past 2 weeks at Richmond Villages in Nantwich, she has thoroughly enjoyed her stay and felt the time had passed very quickly. Every day there is entertainment for the residents with plenty of variety and everyone is very friendly. All the staff have been wonderful, we can’t thank them enough, nothing is too much trouble. I think Mum will miss the food, all her meals have been beautifully cooked and presented, she had a lovely room with an en-suite and a balcony overlooking the lovely gardens. She hopes to return later this year, therefore, I have no hesitation whatsoever, in recommending Richmond Villages, Nantwich.
My mother was in Richmond Village for a very short period as she was on end-of-life care. Unfortunately for mum, we left it too late to get her into Richmond Village so she could take full advantage of the facilities while her health would allow. We cannot praise the staff enough for their professionalism and caring approach to Mum. They would also regularly offer a nice brew to us the visitors.
On behalf of the family, I would like to thank you and your carers for the love and care that they gave to Dad. It ensured that the final year and half of his 97 years was spent in a safe caring environment. It was with this confidence that he made the decision to remain rather than go into hospital or hospice.
