Can't praise the team enough from the inital meeting, through to mum's move. Mum went to Wealstone after a spell in hospital, family were made to feel at home when visiting. Mum's care was excellent, and activities were a highlight of her day. Mum moved to be near the family, just wish we could have
taken all the staff with us.

My mum has been living at this care home for the past three months, and as a family, we honestly couldn't be more grateful for the care, love, and support she has received.
From the management team to every single carer, the staff are absolutely wonderful. They treat Mum with such kindness,
patience, dignity, and genuine affection that it gives us complete peace of mind knowing she is in such caring hands.
Since moving in, Mum has come on so much. She is happier and enjoys being part of the home. Seeing such a positive change in her means the world to us and has brought so much happiness to our family. The staff take the time to get to know each resident as an individual, and it really shows in the way they care for them.
The home is always spotless, welcoming, There are plenty of activities and opportunities for residents to socialise, laugh, and enjoy themselves, creating a lovely atmosphere
I would 100% recommend!

My nan moved in here very quickly and the staff have been nothing but supportive and welcoming as a family we was nervous about how nan would react but no she gaining weight joining in activities and socialising more she even calls it her little flat so 10/10 for us.

My husband has been a resident in the dementia unit for over 2 years. All the staff here are dedicated and there is a really good atmosphere. My husband has been so happy and content. There is a nice feel to the care home which was notable when I first visited with him 2 years ago. The dementia unit
is a happy place with lots of fun. There are activities every day if the residents want to participate, I have been very happy with all the care he has received.

After visiting several care homes, we knew Wealstone Care Home was the right choice for Mum. Arriving unannounced,
we were particularly impressed by the warm, homely atmosphere, the residents' freedom to move around and the cleanliness throughout. Despite late-stage Alzheimer's Mum enjoyed the
activities, crafts, and outings whilst being in a safe and secure environment. The staff were so friendly and constantly chatted with her, gave her cuddles, and made her feel genuinely loved and cared for. When Mum became ill the Manager went above and beyond coordinating her care, while all the staff looked after her with such dignity, respect and professionalism, they were truly exceptional. As a family, we could visit mum anytime and were always kept informed and treated with kindness and compassion. We will forever be grateful for the love and care Mum received, and we cannot recommend Wealstone Care Home highly enough.

Our friend came to Wealstone almost two years ago. He died at the home peacefully this month. He didn't have any relatives but old friends who visited regularly. All the staff were kind and helpful always making is welcome and looked after our friend really well. He was happy at Wealstone and was
popular with the staff who all liked him. He had a peaceful death and was never alone. We will always miss him.

We made the decision to place dad in Wealstone back in September after a lengthy stay in hospital. Initially I was very defensive and suspicious, but gradually realised how good the staff are in caring for people . Most of the carers have been there for a number of years and take great pride in
their work, this has helped our dad to settle quickly and our family relax knowing he is safe. From those in charge and everyone who works there, our family recommend Wealstone as a great place for loved ones to stay when they need help.

Very impressed with the level of care. Staff are friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. The management team are warm, welcoming and accessible, and the room is spacious and kept clean and tidy. Overall, the care home is a lovely place, and my mum is settling in well - she even joins in with the
numerous activities offered and is enjoying mixing more.

Almost immediately after my mother-in-law was admitted to Wealstone, we knew she was in good hands. Her room was spacious, well-equipped and always kept clean and tidy. The staff didn't just look after her, they clearly liked her, which counts for a lot. They were also always welcoming to family and
other visitors. She repeatedly told us she felt safe there, which was so important to her and of course to us. We were especially grateful for how sensitively and kindly you took care of her during her final illness. You contributed so much to her exceptionally peaceful departure. Thank you!

My mum spent the last year of her life at Wealstone and I'm so glad she did, mainly due to the excellent staff.
They treat the residents with such love and care: cuddling them if they need comforting; having a laugh joke and dance with them and generally treating them like they would their own
family
I was made to feel so welcome when visiting and will miss everybody there.

Wealstone has been a port in the storm for us as my mother's health took a sharp decline towards the end of August 2024. Every member of your care team we encountered at all levels has shown nothings but kindness, professionalism and unwavering dedication to every aspect of my mother's health and
well being. Whilst she lived at Wealstone my mother used to say "Are you going to put in an old folks' home?" - as if it were something to be dreaded and endured like a prison. We would say to her, "Your are in one now!" She was so surprised because her experience at Wealstone was one of feeling safe, respected and deeply cared for. Clearly it was nothing like she had expected. We will not forget you. We will always remember what you did for my mother, especially in the last weeks of her life. You carried her with dignity into her final rest. Only special people do this.

I have always been very impressed with the level of care shown by the staff and management at Wealstone Care Home, Chester. My aunt has been a resident in their dementia unit for almost a year and over that time she has been treated with dignity, care and understanding. Recently, there has been a
noticeable progression of her dementia and I have been really impressed at their proactive approach to dealing with her increasing needs. The home itself is clean and maintained to a really high level, there are daily activities throughout the week and visits to attractions in the local area.

So glad that my Grandma got to come here! I felt so safe knowing she was here. The staff were all lovely and took really good care of her. The management inspired so much confidence in me that my Grandma was in the best possible place. Her room was lovely, and they were able to take care of her
right till the very end. They were very gentle with both us and her around the time of her passing. You could tell the staff really connected with their residents; one of them was with my Grandma at the very end, and I am so grateful to her for that. I would really recommend the home. That's exactly what it was, by the way - a real home! My Grandma, who unfortunately suffered from dementia, would often ask if she was going to be taken away to a facility. She was always relieved to know that she wouldn't have to leave the lovely place she was in. The staff were able to take quite an accurate reading of her health and warn us when they thought her time was coming to a close.

We find the staff very friendly and caring our sister loves it here and is very happy, there is a nice warm feeling as soon as you walk into Wealstone.
15 May 2025
The new Manager and her staff have given my sister in law (who has vascular dementia) genuine care as well as lots of smiles and hand holding to such an extent that she is "happy" to be there - unlike her last respite care home - which she thought was a plush hotel since her April 2025 admission.
The staff always make you welcome and you can tell that their smiles and hand holding with the residents are genuine and that they treat your loved one with respect and kindness
The new Managers hands on approach to running the home is a delight to see and her staff embrace it and the residents benefit from it.
The Manager acquired medical treatment for my sister in law at the Countess hospital that has removed our concerns about her overall well being
We feel that if my sister in law was to become a long term resident at Wealstone that it would be a perfect caring environment of round care and we have no problem in recommending this home to anyone looking for it's type of service
