View Full Details of Lindsay HouseMy mother came into Lindsay House for two weeks after a recent fall to convalesce. Her room over looked the church and field she took pictures to make it homely for the duration of her stay. Food was freshly prepared on site and was of a high standard. All the staff were professional, polite, helpful and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Lindsay House.
My mum stays in Lindsay House for one week each month. All the staff members are friendly, professional and trustworthy. They treat my mum with warmth and respect. I know that when my mum stays in Lindsay House I can feel confident that she will be given the best possible care throughout. Lindsay House is an excellent care home on every level.
Dad came to Lindsay House in July 24. Having lost mum he was struggling to live by himself. It's taken hima while to settle down as it was such a big change for him but the staff have been absolutely brilliant and he's now very happy and smiling again. He now really enjoys living here and loves all the staff especially Ailish the activity coordinator who has got him interested in doing art and colouring therapy books its made a massive difference to his wellbeing.
A very kind, and professional team who care for my Mum with respect, compassion and dignity!
Fantastic care home with caring and compassionate staff, they're so friendly and there's nothing they wouldn't do for the residents and their families +friends.
My husband has been at Lindsay for 2 1/2 years now and after a "rocky" start of a few other challenging moments over this time is well settled into their routine. The home is friendly, spotlessly clean with friendly + caring staff who do an amazing job under difficult circumstances.
My dad has been at Lindsauy for 2 1/2 years. We have found everyone to be very helpful approachable. My dad has received good, safe care and we have peace of mind knowing he is well looked after.
Happy with the care my mum gets from Lindsay House. All the staff are very considerate and always have time to discuss my mums wellbeing.
On approaching the care home, my first impression is how unkept the access area is - I.E - full of weeds! My friend sometimes prefers to stay in her room, which is clean and pleasant, However, when she is in the 'lounge', the TV is often showing inappropriate articles - IE 'police crime' items. (The TV was showing a similar programme on remembrance Sunday). Her food -at breakfast is left to 'congeal' as no one helps or encourages her to eat her congealed 'breakfast cereal' would only be good to fill 'pot-holes'! At the weekend there are no senior managers present, and minimal staff, who are often on their phones. My friend receives holy communion on Sundays - but staff don't attempt to take her and the minister to a quiet place. I have not witnessed a church service/celebration there since my friends arrival. The new activities coordinator is trying her best, but I often see her giving out tea etc to the residents. I can't believe that this is in her job description!! I consider that some residents should be in a home that better suits their condition as I don't think that Lindsay House is equipped to deal with them. I would not like my mum to be in this care home.
The staff are really helpful and attentive and patient.
Lindsay House has been excellent for my mum's care needs. Used the home for respite first, then decided to put Mum in full-time in June this year. My mum has settled in really well, the carers are excellent, you can tell they have your mum's interests and needs at all times. Carers are always friendly and will always engage in conversation. Any issues you may have the home has a friendly approach to answer any questions you may have. I am very happy because my mum is happy being here.
Lindsay House I would most certainly recommend, very friendly staff, loving to the residents, extremely professional, a very happy environment. We as a family are more than happy with the care our father is receiving.
My dad stayed at Lindsey House and did not receive a good standard of care. I would not recommend Lindsey House to look after anyone with a later diagnosis of Alzheimer's as the staff are lacking in experience and simply cannot tolerate that does not comply with their ways of running the home. We as a family were very relieved to move Dad out of Lindsey House. Their lack of care when following basic instructions from a GP was dire, and sadly their lack of action has left us with no choice but to formally complain to Akari Care.
An amazingly dedicated team who want the best for the residents.
After surgery, I came to Lindsay House for six weeks. Without exception, the staff have been kind, caring and concerned. I have been invited to a little staff out of hours get together. I will miss their friendship and help.
We had to put mum into respite at the last moment. Mum was extremely daunted however the staff made her feel very welcome and safe. The staff were wonderful and gave mum so much care, she was sad to leave and it gave me peace of mind knowing she was being looked after so well. Can't thank them enough.
My mum is 90 and has vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s. She tends to wander and gets confused and often tries to leave the home which she has visited before for respite. I feel that as her Alzheimer’s has progressed the management have been less able to accommodate her needs doing the bare minimum for her well-being and safety and rather blaming her for things rather than understanding the disease. Staff are generally matter of fact rather than sweet and caring in manner. Management are rude or just indifferent. After a fall my mum was visited by a doctor 5 days later despite being in pain. The home in my opinion should not take Alzheimer’s sufferers.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The staff at Lindsay House are very kind and caring. They do a great job looking after my mum. My mum always tells me how delicious the food is here.
All staff at Lindsay House are helpful and friendly but professional at all times. Father settled in very well and is happy to be here. He is well-fed and always pampered by the girls. He is clean and tidy, as is his room. I would personally recommend Lindsay House for anyone requiring 24/7 residential care.
