Our experience with Sherwood Care Home in Rishton ..: Mum .. who specified that she wanted just a small care home, and it did not disappoint. It definitely had that home from home environment with only a few residents.. .. as only six residents at any one time. It was a comfortable, clean tranquil peaceful atmosphere.. The Manager , deputy manager and staff we met were kind and very understanding of Mums requirements..After our initial visit as daughters (of our Mum )trying to find the right place .. we knew we'd found it.. So we visited again this time with Mum for a couple of hours , you could say a taster visit.. this was a few days later and was greeted by the same warmth and professionalism we had received.previously, putting us all at ease ,knowing that Sherwood Care Home was the place for Mums short stay respite.. Communication was brilliant . A very niche care home that we would consider again for Mum be it short or long term care.. Well done Sherwood Care Home ..

My mum has been here almost 12 months now. She is very happy - she thinks she’s in a hotel and says she is well looked after. Every carer is so easy to speak with all of them are worth their weight in gold... bless you all.

I visit my friend on a regular basis and they always seem to be well looked after and happy. The home is small and means everyone gets a lot of attention. I would recommend here to anyone who is looking for a care home.
