View Full Details of Wordsworth House Care CentreLovely clean home. Residents seem very happy bit sometimes bored. Television Ariel has been broke for some time so No tv to watch for the residents allowing for any noise in the home to be heard by other residents. Would be lovely to see more entertainment going on from time to time.
Lovely environment and consistent team of staff, providing consistently great care. Mum has been at Wordsworth House for 5 years now and has been content throughout. We have no regrets about having chosen this home for her, and lucky to have initially secured a place.
All the staff at Wordsworth House in Hapton are friendly and always chat to their visitors, up- dating them on the person who they care for! In short they look after my mum extremely well, there is a great atmosphere at the home. I love the open plan aspect of both the ground & first floor. The accommodation is always clean & mums clothes are washed & returned to her room! I very much feel that my mum is well cared for, she enjoys the food (well done to the kitchen staff & cleaners!) and has settled in well over the past year or so. The building is secure & safe for everyone, also you can place personal things in their room, pictures, ornaments & flowers etc. & the staff will always do their best to accommodate this for you. I would have no trouble at all in recommending this care home! John.
My mum was in Wordswotth house for 1 year. She loved the place and regarded it as her home. The staff are fantastic. It was home from home for us all , I would put any relative in there as I know the care would be top notch.
Desperate to find a Residential & Dementia Care in East Lancs, we reached out to family & friends and they all strongly recommended Wordsworth House Hapton. Led by the manager & an experienced team of carers, we received expert help & advice how to navigate the complicated process of requesting a transfer. Within hours of settling mum in she had started a painting session, bingo and booked herself in for nail polishing & a hair stylist. Mum is recovering from several falls at her previous care home and needed 121 care. She got it immediately and started to feel more relaxed, less anxious and even started reading again. Without doubt Wordsworth House is run well and feels like a small village of activities and events. Looking forward to returning soon to see how mum is progressing. Thank you so much.
A wonderful home staff are amazing cannot do enough for the residents lovely caring wonderful home I would highly recommend the food is amazing the rooms are lovely got a lovely garden the residents all look smart clean and tidy
Over the last 3 years I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful. They are happy to answer any questions you may have. The care home is bright and spacious and also as a sunny garden. You can visit any time of the day or night and you are welcomed.
A great home to stay at. Staff are so kind and caring. The food is excellent. The room is great. Lots of activities for the residents. I would recommend Wordsworth House to anyone considering having one of their family being cared for 24/7.
We had looked at a number of residential homes for our mother, Wordsworth House had the best atmosphere and all the team were very friendly from the start. We love the open plan aspect. The accommodation is always clean, without the ‘traditional’ smells that you associate with a care home. Most importantly our mother is well cared for, enjoys the food and has settled in well. From being lonely, depressed, unkempt and not eating, she has returned to participating in conversations, being interested in the people around her and taking care of her appearance and her meals. No care home will be perfect as they cannot replicate the resident's home - and their home will always be where the heart is, but this home makes an effort to create a homely environment for all.
The staff are friendly and caring. They look after my mum extremely well.
My wife was discharged from the hospital on the 29th of April 2021 to Wordsworth House for discharge to assessment. At the time she was refusing food, drink and medication. The assessment indicated that her Alzheimer's had become severe and that home care was not appropriate. She was admitted within two days. The staff had her back on her feet, eating, drinking and taking her medication. I have total admiration for the staff, they are committed to the care of my wife and show her love within the limits of a care home. She is happy and content. Staff are truly dedicated and understanding.
Very comfortable. Very friendly.
Overall, my stay here is good and I have no issues. More activities throughout the day.
A lovely home with caring staff who are always friendly and helpful.
I think that my experience at Wordsworth House over the six weeks I have stayed following discharge from hospital has been absolutely excellent. I would definitely come back if I needed to go into a carehome again. The meals are superb. I will miss the cooking from there. All the staff especially one team member and the residents were excellent. I can't fault anything.
I have no issues to report regarding the home and communication is okay and staff are generally friendly and helpful. The room my dad has is a little tired and could do with modernising with more service-user friendly equipment. My dad feeds back to me that food isn't great and staffing levels need to improve. However, I am not sure how accurate this is due to his health decline.
Excellent in all aspects.
Always found the staff very caring, always most helpful.
Whilst my mother has dementia, she is happy and loves her carers, also with her challenges, she is actively involved in social activities. My mother also has a good varied diet, again due to her illness, she is supported on a one to one basis at mealtimes. With her condition, she is treated with love, support and dignity and comes across as happy.
My mum suffers from middle-stage Alzheimer's disease. She is unable to care for herself safely and so lived with me and my family following my dad's death. Recently, she had a stroke which took away all her mobility which subsequently meant I was no longer able to care for her in my home. I chose Wordsworth House after viewing many residential homes. The home has a pleasant relaxing homely feel. I have no regrets over my choice. The last year has been very challenging with the lockdown. Fortunately, we had 3 or 4 weeks of daily visits with Mum before lockdown restrictions. During this time, I got to know some of the staff quite well. I found them all kind, friendly and genuinely caring for all their residents. To have Mum in residential care and feel that she is cared for with dignity, respect and compassion and is safe and well, means the world to me and my family.
