View Full Details of Keate House Residential HomeSince arriving at Keate House, our mum has found a new lease of life and loves it there. We can't thank the staff enough, they treat her very well indeed and she and us have no complaints. Thank you to all involved.
Mum has been living at Keate House for almost 7 years. Throughout the whole time she has been well looked after and entertained. As her dementia has deteriorated and her needs have changed, the staff have adapted to her needs. What really stands out at Keate House is the number of staff who have been there throughout the whole period of Mum's stay. This includes many carers and staff working in other functions. This creates a strong, friendly and knowledgeable atmosphere that feels like one big family. I struck lucky when I found Keate House. I would not want Mum to be anywhere else.
Always greeted in a positive manner when I visit. Staff know all the residents and can talk about the residents' families confidently. They are able to name family members. Residents are always treated with dignity and respect. Staff ensure residents eat and drink well. Constantly give drinks out and prompt them to drink. A lovely home that has looked after my mum perfectly.
My mum arrived here and was in desperate need to be cared for. From day one the staff have been amazing so kind caring for my mum. The premises is always clean, well maintained, welcoming. The activities, meals available is excellent. Mums room is well decorated, clean, tidy. Mum is now living her life, even though she has dementia I feel that through the dedication and care from the staff she is able to enjoy her life. Most importantly I know mum is safe, well cared for and that is all I can wish for.
The help and support the fantastic staff have given Mum is truly amazing. The facility are beautiful.
Our Mum has been living at Keate House for over two years and she calls it 'home'. It is home: her home, a home where the most wonderful, kind, and caring staff look after her with dignity, love, and professionalism. She is safe and happy, eats well, and has lots of fun joining in with the many amazing activities which are organised daily. We certainly could not have chosen a better place! Thank you to everyone there.
My Mum has been living at Keate House for over two years. She's 97, with dementia and a bad leg, and it's a great relief to know she is in safe hands. Keate House is family-owned and run and the sole focus of all the staff is to make the residents' lives as good as possible. The whole atmosphere is very different from the care home from the big chain that my aunt was in. There are lots of activities, of varied types, so that there's something for everybody despite their condition. I can go and visit any time, take her out around the village in the wheelchair or out in the car, and everybody is helpful and cooperative. They also understand the different ways dementia affects people, and whether a change is an expected progression or some unrelated infection that needs referring to the GP. We are so glad we found Keate House.
From the outset, everyone at Keate House has been understanding and friendly when dealing both with my mum, who suffers from dementia, and our family, who obviously want the best care possible in her time of need. Regular communication, ease of visiting, attention to detail, and quality surroundings, all made possible by the wonderful staff, mean that I couldn't recommend anywhere better for my mum at this time in her life. It's also the little things, like the number of activities and stimulation that all the residents receive and the respect that each and everyone also gets, that means the environment, whilst challenging for the multiple needs of everyone concerned, is welcoming and run like a family home rather than a care establishment.
My uncle moved to Keate House in early June 2024. Everything about the experience has been fantastic. The carers are all so friendly. He is so well looked after. The food is lovely and he often says he has enjoyed it. There is plenty of entertainment for residents. He has visited the village and the ice cream farm. The grounds are beautiful and very accessible. His room is great. Keate House just cannot do enough for the residents. My uncle has not stopped smiling since he arrived. Thank you for everything.
The care my dad has received has been exceptional. My dad didn't settle at first and I found it very difficult. The wrap-around care that we both received was truly superb and I am so grateful to them. My dad is so settled and happy and I love visiting too. Thank you.
The staff at Keate are very kind, caring, and professional. Everyone has gone out of their way to ensure that Mum's transition to the home was as smooth and seamless as possible. Nothing has been too much trouble and the standard of communication between Keate, Mum, and us as relatives has been exemplary. There is absolutely nothing to fault in our experience so far. I feel confident that Mum is being very well cared for and that the staff at Keate are going out of their way to ensure that her needs are being met.
From the day my mother-in-law came to live at Keate House, she was looked after like a member of a family. All staff are so caring and made us feel so welcome. They treat everyone with such dignity and go the extra mile to ensure their residents are well cared for with activities taking place on a daily basis keeping everyone included and active, including various outings in the in-house minibuses. I would without question recommend Keate House, and having visited quite a few over the last twelve months I can certainly say this was the most outstanding in every area.
Lovely caring people looking after my grandma. Always so helpful and caring. Clean and good facilities, all residents trust the staff members and look comfortable in their presence.
Outstanding care delivery at the home. Always providing care and compassion by staff to residents. Staff are very responsive to the clients/residents. Working with relatives and carers to meet everyone's needs. Couldn't ask for more from a home for my father who has settled into Keate House Home.
My Mum had to move into care home residency in early December 2023, and we were so very lucky to find Keate House. From the first minute, and throughout the past few months, the quality of care and attention shone through always, right through the whole team. On every visit, whichever team members were present, there was an enthusiasm and passion for the care of residents, and often some form of activity supporting the camaraderie amongst all. Keate House is a first rate care home, well managed, with superb carers throughout, a truly wonderful, lovely home, and without any hesitation can be highly recommended.
My mother-in-law is a resident at Keate House and has been for just over 2 years now. She moved across to Lymm from Lytham where she was extremely unhappy in the care home that she had recently moved into and has never looked back. The change in her since she was welcomed into Keate House is unbelievable. The staff are not only kind, caring and considerate of her needs but they show a genuine interest in her and her life before Keate House. I know from discussions with staff when I visit that they engage with my Mother-in-law on a regular basis and know her personality, likes and dislikes which makes life for her there pleasurable. There are daily activities and crafts that she can join in with if she likes or she can have quiet time in her room and the lounge should she want company. I would not hesitate to recommend Keate House to anyone who finds themselves in the hard decision of having to find residential care for a loved one.
From the moment Dad arrived at Keate House, he was made to feel welcome by all the staff. Dad is really well cared for and all the staff are friendly, approachable and are very happy to engage with the family. A great team all around.
My mum has been a resident here for 18 months now. She is very settled and very well looked after.
My mum has been part of this amazing home for the last few months, their activities are great! They have things on, not only in the home, but Mum has also been out on their own minibus. The staff are always extremely welcoming when I have visited my mum. Her bedroom is a lovely modern room with an en-suite with a shower. I feel so relaxed knowing Mum is being looked after by lovely people in such a homely place!
Amazing staff, feels like a family. Great activities. Very caring. Glad my parents live there.
