View Full Details of Pennystone CourtI couldn't have asked for more. There was a very warm welcome on admission from all the staff, including: management, hairdresser, Activities Coordinator, kitchen staff, chaplain, senior carers, carers, domestics, laundry lady, maintenance man, everyone introduced themselves. They were aware my mum was blind, so they got close, told her where things are placed. All staff have continued to help with the settling-in process. There is a real sense of family/community and working together for the residents. Support has been offered and appreciated for myself. Thank you.
My mum sadly had to leave Pennystone Court to move to a nursing home. What sets a home aside is the support and care that it provides not just at the beginning of care but also at the end. Mum had an acute event - the amazing staff managed it extremely quickly and attentively which made a big difference. Residents at Pennystone and their family members are truly viewed and treated as family. It's not just that all the staff genuinely care but also that they are dedicated to the work they do. It's not just a job for the folks at Pennystone - it's clearly something they are passionate about. Mum was heartbroken to leave and I have to say, so were we. We will miss the wonderful team and can only thank them for everything.
My sister moved into Pennystone Court in February 2025. From the moment we stepped foot in Pennystone, you are greeted with a sense of calm. We were particularly impressed with the interaction between residents and staff, obviously very much a family affair. The high standard of facilities ensure that everybody's needs are taken into account. Obviously, we as a family wanted to ensure that our sister was as engaged in the process as we were. The kindness shown to all of us was exceptional and over the weeks and months, we feel that we all belong in our sisters journey within Pennystone.
I knew from within 5 minutes of walking through the front door on a site tour that I had found the right place for my mum. High standards of care and caring rather than the lip service I observed at a couple of other homes while doing my due diligence. A highly recommended 5 stars.
Over the next couple of months my mums dementia had gotten to the stage where she could no longer live independently at home. After some difficult times in hospital and in short term care mum has now moved into Pennystone Court Blackpool. I have been in many care homes through my professional life and I can honestly say Pennystone Court as an environment is perfect for my mum, very homely, food is great, room very comfortable. The best thing about Pennystone however is the staff, management team and exceptional care. Mum is happy settled and has things to do. I cannot thank the staff enough for what they have done for my mum (and me) over the last few months.
I have been very happy with every aspect of Mum's care at Pennystone Court. Mum has mixed dementia and was a resident with Pennystone for three years until her health required nursing care. The building is modern, recently refurbished, and secure. The caring team are professional, respectful, and patient. The accommodation and public areas are kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. Mum's personal hygiene was well catered for with freshly laundered bedding and clothes. There was an excellent choice of fresh food from the kitchen, a food hygiene rating of 5. The in-house hair and nails salon is excellent. The entertainment and activities are varied inclusive and numerous. A lovely sunny and secure outdoor area is available. I would recommend PSC to any person in need of residential care.
This care home must be the best in the country, the staff from the care workers to the management are top class, and nothing is too much trouble for them, they have helped both my wife and myself through these difficult times. Thank you Pennystone Court.
My Mum has now been a resident at Pennystone Court for six years. Overall that time she has been extremely well cared for and looked after by the wonderful carers who have become like my extended family and to whom I am very grateful. They work very hard over long shifts to keep the residents clean, tidy, and well-dressed. Medication is strictly monitored and if there is a health problem a doctor or district nurse is called in immediately. All rooms have recently been refurbished and are kept lovely and clean. The home is managed extremely well and excellent meals are served. Activities, church services, and events are arranged. It is a first-class care home run by people who care very much for the residents.
From our initial visit to Pennystone, it was a very easy decision that this was to be our choice of care home. The staff was immediately welcoming, answered all our questions, and professionally assisted the needs of my Father-in-law. The premises are immaculate and the highest standards of cleanliness and care are maintained with regular checking of all residents, addressing any requests immediately in a friendly professional manner. Activities are in abundance providing stimulus and entertainment with occasional visit 'stars' and even off-site visits when staff give willingly of their days off to help out and ensure the highest level of enjoyment and safety. Pennystone Court is a happy home with a wonderful sense of connectivity. Above all, my Father-in-law is happy here.

This August 12th I have been here as a resident at Pennystone Court for 4 years, so that speaks volumes. My experience here during the Covid era and also since has been exceptionally good. I am very happy here and long may it continue, which I know that it will because all the management and staff are dedicated in their work.
My wife feels very privileged to be in such lovely surroundings. She has donated to the home for many years and is now enjoying the wonderful facilities here. She was made very welcome on her arrival. Her room is lovely and the bathroom is superb. The food is excellent, she is very happy and content and the staff are very kind and helpful.
Mum was admitted to Pennystone Court on the 10th of April 2024. We the family were very apprehensive about if and how she would settle as she was adamant she didn't want to go into a care home. Her admission was carefully planned and supported by the management of the home. Five weeks on and the transition from home to care home has been incredibly smooth. The family can relax in the knowledge mum is receiving first-rate care. She looks healthier and having regular showers, cleaner. She no longer has to negotiate stairs as she lives on the ground floor. I have visited several times and am very impressed with the quality and care the staff deliver. We are so pleased we chose Pennystone Court and would highly recommend it.
My aunty has been a resident at Pennystone Court for eight years. She receives outstanding care and would not be as happy as she is if she wasn't so well looked after. All staff members are warm, thoughtful and considerate, not only to my aunty but also to her family. Living a distance away, working and more recently living in/caring for my father, I have been unable to visit as much as I would have liked. It has been one less worry to know my aunty is in the best possible hands. I am very grateful to the activities co-ordinator who keeps me in touch with my aunty via video call and she is kept busy and happy with the many planned activities.
My 97-year-old mum has been in Pennystone Court for a few months now, she is happy and settled. She receives wonderful care from the staff and she feels very safe. I cannot speak too highly of Pennystone Court.
I visited Mum today - as always, the staff could not do enough to make the visit enjoyable. Tea and cakes are served in the garden for us. Every staff member I met was friendly as always! So grateful Mum is here at Pennystone Court, loved and cared for. Thank you.
