View Full Details of The Grove Care HomeI find The Grove very 'welcoming'! The 'atmosphere' is apparent upon entering! It smells lovely and everything is clean and tidy. No obvious obstacles and 'freedom' is extended to both residents and visitors. Both myself and my husband have agreed on the 'excellent' survey below! 'Care and respect' is shown by staff.
An absolute amaizing care home, we couldn't be happier with the highest standard of care my nan recieves from amaizing, hard working + friendly care staff who always go above + beyond. The home is run by a hard working, fantastic manager who is approachable and works hard to ensure the residents. Staff + families are happy and recieving the highest quality care and support. Always an amazing atmosphere. The home is always clean bright and well maintained at all times. I would definetly recommend The Grove, the best care home there is!
The home is warm and welcoming. The staff are very approachable and lovely. My relative has settled in well. The rooms are a bit dated but thats the only negative.
The parking at the home is a nightmare. The home/Grove staff itself is very welcoming. My mother in law is happy and well settled. The variety of food available is fantastic. The staff are very approachable. Lovely and you can see they care for everyone in The Grove.
Excellent care home. Caring committed staff very friendly and approachable. Mum is treated with respect and dignity. Good facilities and range of activities. Mum is partially sighted so is given support with any activities. Every effort is made to decorate and celebrate the home for events like Halloween and remembrance day. The home was very colourful and looked lovely and cheerful for residents.
We are really happy with the care that my gran is getting, the staff are lovely and couldn't wish for better car for her. The staff are very supporting of us has well when we have a bad day with my gran.
Brilliant
The care and compashion they show my mother in law is amazing her room is lovely clean and tidy. She is always washed and dressed lovely. The care staff treat you like family which is good as you know you can always talk to them if anything you need to know. The manager always asks if you are ok and if there anything we need.
Beautiful building and lovely ground, staff are great. Had no issues since mum-in-law got there and will be staying perminantly.
Our dad died very suddenly and it became apparent even with carer's mum couldn't cope on her own. She also didn't want to move to where I live in another part of the country. From day one the staff have been amazing with mum. She had a lot of anxieties when she first went in (2021) but it's like having our old mum back. They work tirelessly and are always happy and smiling. They absolutely all go above and beyond including the chef, cleaners and handyman. They cater to food tastes/allergies (mum can be fussy) and they've managed to stabilise her weight as, she did initially lose a lot after dad passed. Rooms are lovely, all have a small ensuite with a toilet and sink. Mum has all her little trinkets in there, in fact she had so many that when a larger room became available she was given it. She's made lot's of friends in there, including the staff who are all like one big happy family. Thank you for making our mum feel safe and part of a larger extended 'family'.
Cannot thank everyone enough, my Mum was very unwell when she first arrived on a two-week respite and is now doing very well and has gained weight and looks great. Everyone is fantastic not only with my Mum but also with my Dad who visits every day. Staff always have a cheerful greeting and inform you of any issues my Mum has had in the day and are on top of all her needs. My mum is now a full-time resident, everyone has always got time to talk to her and always have a smile even when she has an off day.
On my arrival, I was in a very poor condition, extremely weak and frail. With care and compassion, the staff and the team at The Grove nursed me back to health. I feel renewed with a new sense of purpose! My transformation has been incredible! I feel at home here, making friends, feeling happy and safe and counting the staff as family.
My mum was going into a care home I visited more than I care to remember. I turned up at The Grove, stressed, and tearful myself, they warmly welcomed me and actually wrapped their arms around me. They went over and above to secure a place for Mum, she was so ill when she was discharged. The Grove sprung into action, settled Mum in, doctors attended which they arranged, her medication was amended. She is improving, she is safe, she is happy, and she is looked after with so much care. I can finally breathe. All the staff are amazing.
A very welcoming place which has a friendly and caring approach. My husband was in for respite, which was a welcome experience for both of us. The staff were caring and really helped him settle in. I certainly would use The Grove again for him to have respite; it is a happy place, and we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you.
Our grandad has been in The Grove Care Home for the past few months. He has spent a great amount of time living alone. However, due to declining health, he was unable to remain living independently. He initially struggled to settle, but with the constant support and care of the staff, he is now starting to engage in the activities offered in the home and feels more settled. Staff are always attentive to him and happy to discuss any issues or concerns we may have.
During the time our dad was in the care home the carers made him feel welcome and comfortable so much so his health improved he was able to return to his own home several months later. On the day he left all the staff were visibly upset which showed they cared. We would like to thank everyone for there care and attention not only to our dad, but to us too.
Although it is sad that I am unable to care for my wife anymore due to my age (90) and her health needs I feel she is in the next best place. I know the staff care for her and keep her safe and occupied and she is treated well and loved. I am able to rest easy knowing that my wife is being treated with both respect and dignity. I also appreciate how welcomed I feel when I visit daily.
The staff are all very friendly and cheerful, nothing is too much trouble! They always have time for friendly words with residents and reassuring words with relatives. My father works " I couldn't wish for a better place to live"
Outstanding care they go above and beyond for all residents including my grandad. The level of care is outstanding very clean the staff are friendly and treat residents with utmost care and respect. Meal times and meals are very good. I myself when visiting am made to feel very welcome.
My nanan has been at The Grove for 4 months after issues at the previous home she had respite in due to poor mobility. She lived alone for the last 10 years and was adamant she didn’t want to go in any home. Now she is a permanent resident at The Grove of her own choice as she didn’t want to go back home which speaks for itself. The staff deliver excellent care and treat my nanan as if they’re her family and is treated with dignity and respect at all times. She also struggles with her sight but staff make any reasonable adjustments to ensure she can partake in activities to join in with other residents. I wouldn’t want her to be anywhere else.
