I find The Grove very 'welcoming'! The 'atmosphere' is apparent upon entering! It smells lovely and everything is clean and tidy. No obvious obstacles and 'freedom' is extended to both residents and visitors. Both myself and my husband have agreed on the 'excellent' survey below! 'Care and respect' is shown by staff.

Excellent care home. Caring committed staff very friendly and approachable. Mum is treated with respect and dignity. Good facilities and range of activities. Mum is partially sighted so is given support with any activities. Every effort is made to decorate and celebrate the home for events like Halloween and remembrance day. The home was very colourful and looked lovely and cheerful for residents.

From day one the staff have been amazing with mum. She had a lot of anxieties when she first went in (2021) but it's like having our old mum back. They work tirelessly and are always happy and smiling. They absolutely all go above and beyond including the chef, cleaners and handyman. They cater to food tastes/allergies (mum can be fussy) and they've managed to stabilise her weight as, she did initially lose a lot after dad passed.
Rooms are lovely, all have a small ensuite with a toilet and sink. Mum has all her little trinkets in there, in fact she had so many that when a larger room became available she was given it. She's made lot's of friends in there, including the staff who are all like one big happy family. Thank you for making our mum feel safe and part of a larger extended 'family'.

Everyone is fantastic not only with my Mum but also with my Dad who visits every day.
Staff always have a cheerful greeting and inform you of any issues my Mum has had in the day and are on top of all her needs.
My mum is now a full-time resident, everyone has always got time to talk to her and always have a smile even when she has an off day.

On my arrival, I was in a very poor condition, extremely weak and frail. With care and compassion, the staff and the team at The Grove nursed me back to health. I feel renewed with a new sense of purpose! My transformation has been incredible! I feel at home here, making friends, feeling happy and safe and counting the staff as family.

My mum was going into a care home I visited more than I care to remember. I turned up at The Grove, stressed, and tearful myself, they warmly welcomed me and actually wrapped their arms around me. They went over and above to secure a place for Mum, she was so ill when she was discharged. The Grove sprung into action, settled Mum in, doctors attended which they arranged, her medication was amended. She is improving, she is safe, she is happy, and she is looked after with so much care. I can finally breathe. All the staff are amazing.

A very welcoming place which has a friendly and caring approach. My husband was in for respite, which was a welcome experience for both of us. The staff were caring and really helped him settle in. I certainly would use The Grove again for him to have respite; it is a happy place, and we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you.

Our grandad has been in The Grove Care Home for the past few months. He has spent a great amount of time living alone. However, due to declining health, he was unable to remain living independently. He initially struggled to settle, but with the constant support and care of the staff, he is now starting to engage in the activities offered in the home and feels more settled. Staff are always attentive to him and happy to discuss any issues or concerns we may have.

During the time our dad was in the care home the carers made him feel welcome and comfortable so much so his health improved he was able to return to his own home several months later. On the day he left all the staff were visibly upset which showed they cared. We would like to thank everyone for there care and attention not only to our dad, but to us too.

Although it is sad that I am unable to care for my wife anymore due to my age (90) and her health needs I feel she is in the next best place. I know the staff care for her and keep her safe and occupied and she is treated well and loved. I am able to rest easy knowing that my wife is being treated with both respect and dignity. I also appreciate how welcomed I feel when I visit daily.
