I find The Grove very 'welcoming'! The 'atmosphere' is apparent upon entering! It smells lovely and everything is clean and tidy. No obvious obstacles and 'freedom' is extended to both residents and visitors. Both myself and my husband have agreed on the 'excellent' survey below! 'Care and respect'
is shown by staff.

An absolute amaizing care home, we couldn't be happier with the highest standard of care my nan recieves from amaizing, hard working + friendly care staff who always go above + beyond. The home is run by a hard working, fantastic manager who is approachable and works hard to ensure the residents. Staff
+ families are happy and recieving the highest quality care and support. Always an amazing atmosphere. The home is always clean bright and well maintained at all times. I would definetly recommend The Grove, the best care home there is!

The parking at the home is a nightmare. The home/Grove staff itself is very welcoming. My mother in law is happy and well settled. The variety of food available is fantastic. The staff are very approachable. Lovely and you can see they care for everyone in The Grove.

My Aunt has been a resident at the Whim Hall since 2020 unfortunately she was put in there due to the covid pandemic as there was no other place due to the pandemic . Our family are open minded so we hoped that her stay would be comfortable and pleasant . As time went on we found this to be a totally
different senario although the staff then were able to supply entertainment and communication to the residents this changed over a peiod of time as staff left , after continuous visits we found residents being left in chairs with no one around , lack of staff to answer the door and a couldnt care attitude when residents became upset . The lack of one to one support is non existant and we witnessed a resident leaving through a alarmed door onto a snow laden staircase and it took 20 mins for staff to become aware of this incident . The encouragement of keeping up fluids due to the heat in the place is sorely lacking and the staff try their best . The place should be closed.

Residents appear clean and well dressed and have their needs well cared for. My father is happy and speak very highly of staff members who take time to have meaningful conversations and lots of positive interactions with him. The staff keep us up to date with information and also about his daily activities.
The manager shows full commitment in her role and goes above beyond to ensure residents are safe, happy and valued.

Excellent care home. Caring committed staff very friendly and approachable. Mum is treated with respect and dignity. Good facilities and range of activities. Mum is partially sighted so is given support with any activities. Every effort is made to decorate and celebrate the home for events like Halloween
and remembrance day. The home was very colourful and looked lovely and cheerful for residents.

The Maple was clean and the the staff were friendly and kind with both my mum and myself the weekend I visited. I took my mum out both days which was easy to do . I also spent time in her room and the main day room. I met several of the staff and other residents.
I regularly see my mum participating
in activities via their social media page. It's lovely to know she gets involved.
I have only met one of the management team so far ( my mum hasn't been living there too long & I live far away) but she was very helpful with my mum .
As my mum hasn't been there too long it's hard to comment on some of the categories.
Reply from Joanne Fisher, Home Manager at The Maple Care HomeHi Andrea ,
