Both our parents have been living at Burntwood Hall for about 6 months, in which time both mum & Dad have got to know the staff, and all the staff have got to know mum & Dad. They have got to know mum and Dads needs, likes, preferences and dislikes.
Consent is sort from Mum & Dad, they are provided with dignity, respect, built up a good working relationships.
Burntwood Hall has a very welcoming homely friendly atmosphere.
From what my sister & I have observed Staff from handy person to Home manager do their upmost for the individual. (Person centred care) We are also made to feel welcome at all times.
Burntwood Hall home manager as an open door policy, always has time to speak with us should we need.

As our parents have settled into living at Burntwood Hall and have a good trusting working relationship with all the staff-as helped put us at ease that the are cared for, health & hygiene met, have food/meal's cooked within the home, drinks, entertainment & as safe as can be.

Both parents have recently moved into Burnwood Hall. Prior to their move, we were invited to visit the home, see their rooms and personalise with items to help them settle in. Staff were very welcoming and were keen to know about our parents, such as their likes, dislikes, and daily routine. They went out of their way to help create a seating area in the bigger room so they can spend time together during the day and have time with family. The activity programme is good. All staff helpful, caring and supportive to both parents and family.

My Aunt came to the home for respite and the care she received was very good. All the carers were friendly and interacted with her. She enjoyed playing bingo and the food was very good. The rooms were clean.

My dad was a resident at Burntwood Hall for the last year of his life. Even though we knew dad moving into a care home was the right option, it was still a very anxious time for us all. The staff were very welcoming, caring and professional. We couldn't believe how quickly dad settled in. As a family knowing he was happy, safe and well cared for was a massive relief for us. Dad loved talking to the carers and having a laugh with them, participating in activities organised like weekly bingo, as well as other events throughout the year. Dad always had a good appetite and he enjoyed the food. Dad was always treated with respect, care and compassion. All the staff are amazing, kind and caring people and the care dad received was exceptional. We loved visiting dad, joining in with activities like bingo, talking to other residents and carers. We will always be grateful for the care shown to our dad. Burntwood Hall is simply outstanding!

Had been told of the reputation of the facility as being good. The care my wife received at Burntwood Hall Care Centre far exceeded any expectations I'd had before her stay. Cannot praise highly enough the level of care and the facility in general.

I cannot begin to say what a wonderful place this is, homely, caring, lovely surroundings, the staff are very caring, going the extra mile to make my uncle feel at home, picking up his daily paper, trying to encourage him to join in activities, having birthday celebrations, bingo, crafting (he declined but the opportunity was there if wanted).

It's a lovely place, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

My uncle settled in very quickly after moving from another care home, it suits him down to the ground, he is now safe, clean, well-fed and much happier than he has been in recent years.
This is down to the staff that have sometimes gone over and beyond to keep him content.

I would thoroughly recommend this home for anyone having the difficult choice of placing an elderly relative in care.

I feel confident that my brother is safe and well cared for at Burntwood Hall Care Centre. He seems as happy as he can be under his circumstances and I feel that is because of the care and attention he is given by all the excellent carers.

One negative thing I would say is that access to the garden area is impossible for my brother as there are no paths on the grassed area. This would be advantageous to all.

My brother settled well at Burntwood Hall Care Centre and I feel that this was achieved by the excellent care given to him by his carers. He is encouraged and listened to when he is having a bad day and reassurance is given in a kind and considerate manner. As he is confined to a chair, it would be advantageous if there were some concrete paths on the lawned areas to allow him access to outside, giving him a change of scenery and much-needed fresh air for his well-being as he is unable to be taken out of the building by relatives.

My mother has been a resident at Burntwood Hall Care Centre for fifteen months and I must say, it's a very welcoming and friendly home. She has made friends easily and joins in with all the activities. Family can visit at any time, there is also a well-attended coffee morning on Thursday.

A lovely, friendly, safe home.

My wife moved here a year ago after a temporary stay in a previous home. We now have a wheelchair-accessible vehicle so I can take her shopping and to our home, but she is always content to return to Burntwood. Given this is an old building, we both agree care and facilities are excellent, as far as is practicable. An experienced cook recently left so inevitably the new cook is on a learning curve, this is only to be expected. Otherwise, everything else remains excellent.

I cannot praise the manager and every member of staff at Burntwood Hall enough for the excellent care given to my friend. The difference seen in him is remarkable, his quality of life has improved immensely from when he was at home. He has told me he is much happier and is kept free of pain. Their end of life care is exceptional, I couldn't ask for more. The home is a true credit for its cleanliness and it's truly caring and well-trained staff. Visitors are always made really welcome. The home is beautifully decorated for their Christmas celebrations.

My Sister and I were told we had 5 days to find somewhere for our mum to go into respite as she wasn't allowed to go back to her flat as she needed 24hr care. Burntwood Hall was the only place we visited as the staff were very friendly and welcoming we totally fell in love with the place. Mum only did 12 weeks there before she died, the care she received was above and beyond any care I've ever known. I can't thank them enough for making our mum's last weeks memorable not just for her but for our family. The support we received as a family from all the staff has been amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for this care home, we will recommend it to anyone who is looking for somewhere to put their loved ones. Thank you Burntwood Hall.

Mam had to move from rehab after a period of time in hospital. Home was very good in assessment and in settling Mam into her new surroundings. Room has been made her own by items brought from home, but spends more time in the social lounge, which is warm, wood-panelled with period features of it being Burntwood Hall. Staff very good in looking after her needs. Dining room has lovely views over to the moor and the hall gardens.

I am extremely happy with Burntwood Hall Care Home. I was very worried about my dad initially being admitted into the home but needn't have been concerned. Since being here my dad's physical health has improved considerably. He has Alzheimer's but the staff have always shown empathy and respect to him. My only concern has been my dad's ability to lose things! He doesn't seem to be able to hold onto his glassed, teeth or hearing aid! The food is excellent and the staff always ensure that dad's appetite is satisfied. Consequently, he has gained weight again. The staff encourage dad to participate in activities although he is often reluctant.

My mum suffered a stroke and needed a change of scene. Mum was dropped off on Monday morning. The staff were lovely. Mum was made to feel welcome. Her room was pleasant, clean and well maintained. Mum was very happy with all aspects of the home. The food was freshly cooked every day and there was always a choice. I have no hesitation in recommending Birchwood Hall care Centre.

It is difficult to put into words how thankful we are as a family for the care my dad received at Burntwood. From the very first assessment home visit to dads last moments, the staff treated us all with care and respect. Dad wants, needs and dignity were always their first priority.
There is a real family feel about the home. It is a testament to the recruitment of staff and how they work together as a team. They manage to combine professionalism with caring making a wonderfully happy and homely atmosphere.
All the staff cared for dad as if he were their own, and we came to feel like we were leaving him with family. Burntwood was a home from home for him. We couldn't believe how well he settled from the moment he became a resident, giving us peace of mind which we never thought we would have.
The thoughtfulness and empathy that the staff showed us in his last few days will always stay with us. Their warmth and compassion helped us through this difficult time.

As a family, we cannot recommend Burntwood more highly.
