Bowburn Care Centre

My Mam has been a resident five and a half years. Super care home and super staff. Quality and care of my Mam is incredible. I trust the staff 100% and I'm always kept informed of what's happening at the home.

Since my Granda has moved into Bowburn care home, he has thrived and is defintely a lot less confused. Staff are lovely, he is well cared for and above all safe and knowing he is well looked after make us as a family feel so much better.

I can't thank the staff and management enough for their care and support.

Need more food options & more 1-2-1 movement sessions

Staff have been very supportive however feel the food could be more varied.

Staff are always helpful when approached, answering questions to ease any concerns.

Residents appear clean and well dressed and have their needs well cared for. My father is happy and speak very highly of staff members who take time to have meaningful conversations and lots of positive interactions with him. The staff keep us up to date with information and also about his daily activities. The manager shows full commitment in her role and goes above beyond to ensure residents are safe, happy and valued.

All the staff are kind, helpful, nothing is too much trouble. They treat you with dignity and respect and have a joke with you. The room is a good size, bright.

Truthfully it is nice, everyone is well looked after, if anyone asks I would recommend this care home. My husband is well looked after and patience is amazing.

I can not recommend or praise this care home highly enough. I know my mam is looked after to the highest standards & she feels safe & respected. It is like having another family, everyone from the top down is amazing & most definitely in the right job. Which gives us peace of mind.

I would highly recommend Bowburn Care Home. The staff are very caring and cannot do enough. Nothing is too much trouble to them.

Mam has only been a resident here for a short while, but the care and support she recieves from the staff is second to none. Staff go above and beyond for there residents. Mam loves the variety of activitie available. Would recommend to anyone looking for care.

This care home is beautiful. The residents are amazingly looked after, they get looked after better than I do honestly. The food is great! The activites are incredible especially making them smile and so happy. Thank you to everyone days and night carers, chefs, cleaners absolutely everyone!!

Sometimes the staff can be a little stretched, meaning some things with hygeine, clothing ect can go unnoticed and buzzers are sounding a while before being answered. Despite that the residents are happy, well fed, bathed regular and treated as individuals. I wouldn't hesitate to place another family member in there if needed.

I wish to say that having experienced 2 previous homes, Bowburn comes top of the list in all aspects of what is required and expected of a care homes suitability. For my wife who is bedbound after suffering a stroke.

My mother is currently being currently a resident in Bowburn suffering from vascular dementia, from my very first visit the staff have always made me feel at ease and welcomed us and have gone out of their way to make our visits as comfortable as possible. We do not live local to Bowburn and the fact that you can just turn up anytime of any day has helped planning visits so much easier. i cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the home i really cant, as a family my two brothers and i have said that our mam could not be in a better home.The warmth shown to us by the staff really has touched us and Mam is always happy and you can just see she is well looked after and as happy as she can be which means so much to help what is a difficult situation for us all. I would recommend Bowburn to anybody and in my opinion it is of the highest standard along with the most caring staff.

We called in today and she was tucking into a full roast beef dinner .. all home cooked. Any restraunt pub or cafe would of been proud to serve it.

My Father with advanced dementia initially went into Bowburn for respite care. It was a very difficult decision for us to make as a family. We were welcomed to visit at any time to look round before no pre arrangements needed....to see it as it is. It was clear that managers and staff were happy and it was clear they wanted to give residents the individual care, dignity understand them for who they were. My dad's personal care was always well attended to. He spent time in the communal areas and encouraged to engage in all activities. He was so well supported to eat ...self led as much as possible. Staff were happy quite had been working there for .any years , which says a lot. It was clean , communication was great. I have been so happy with the care that Bowburn gave my dad and would highly recommend it...caring, clean , happy residents and staff.

As a family we were invited to visit the care home without an appointment. Their approach was '' take us as you find us' and after being shown around we felt confident that all the staff had each residents unique welfare at the core of their care. After two successful episodes of respite and seeing dad seemingly unphased by the communal living , when dad' care was no longer tenable at home we were confident we had a great local option. Care is second to none. Every resident is looked after as an individual with dignity and respect. As a family we consistently witnessed kindness, tenderness and patience. Staff had to adapt to the ever changing capabilities and health needs of our lovely dad . They supported Dad through these transitions and also eased us, his family through these new unchartered waters. His end of life care was communicated sensitively and clearly and our whole family felt 'looked after' . The staffs reaction to our loss showed us that they truly cared. Thankyou
