Both my in-laws are now residing at Roxholm Hall on a permanent basis.
The management and staff have gone out of their way to make this huge transition in their lives as positive as possible.
They have had a phone line installed in one of their rooms which has led to increased independence.
The staff
always ring us if there is the slightest issue which is very reassuring.

Both of my parents went in there for respite care after hospital visits/stays. The staff were all lovely and very caring and helpful.
Thank you to the manager and deputy manager for all you did for them during their stay for a month. They managed to be put in a room together which was very kind of
the staff. The home was an old hall so it has character.

Nice, large bedrooms with ensuite facilities as well as a separate lounge/kitchen area.
All assistants were respectful and caring of the patient's needs.
Communication between the staff and the resident's family was excellent.

Our mother has been in Roxholm Hall Care Centre since December 2022 and we couldn't be happier.
She loves her room, the food and all the staff. She tells us how kind and caring they all are.
She loves joining in the activities, bingo and exercises, she even made an Easter bonnet. We think everyone
from management to the general cleaners are excellent.

Roxholm Hall provided excellent respite care, so much so that my mother-in-law wished to go back into there once she had returned home. The care she received was first class. She said the food was excellent, and the staff were wonderful and caring. She couldn't fault a thing about her room, which was
spacious and well-appointed. The administrative details were always dealt with quickly, and nothing was too much trouble.

I cannot express my thanks enough to everyone at Roxholm Hall for the care that is given to my brother in the months he has been a resident. His health has been very mixed but the care and concern for this has been second to none. He is very happy there and as he is 90 years old I have peace of mind
that he could not be in better hands.
Thank you everyone.

Having worked at the home myself many years ago I knew that my mother would be looked after and her care would be very good. If accidents were to happen she would be treated appropriately with her well being, being paramount at all times of the day. This was proved when she fell recently. I cannot praise
them more as they really proved how caring the home is whenever support is needed. I cannot thank them all day and night staff and the administration team too. My queries have always been responded to. Thank you to all.

I am very pleased to have the opportunity to take part in the reviewing of Roxholm Hall Care Centre. The care home provides an outstanding level of care to the residents. An example would be my husband decided he was hungry on several occasions so he had his first breakfast at 5 am and then his actual
breakfast at 8 am! Staff were kind and supported residents.

I find the standard of care exceptional. We have had a few settling in problems with my Mother-in-Law but the staff and management have gone out of their way to help us and here, thus she is now quite happy. Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.870)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.870) out of 10 for Roxholm Hall Care Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.729 for Roxholm Hall Care Centre is calculated as follows: ( (43 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 59 Ratings = 4.729
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.141 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Roxholm Hall Care Centre is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 39 registered maximum number of service users is 7.8. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.8 = 0.641
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
