Care Homes Owned by St Philips Care Group

My dad has been in care at Lennel House since April due to Alzheimer's. Since day one he has been cared for and made to feel at home. The staff led by Katie have been professional, approachable and supportive. I'm very happy with the level of care and the quality of the surroundings that is provided at Lennel.

My dad has been here just over a year now and I cannot fault the care he receives. The care staff and nursing team demonstrate kindness and respect towards residents as well as appropriate training in meeting the needs of dementia patients. Staff appear to know my dad well and are always able to tell me when I arrive how he has been earlier in the day or earlier that week. He is always clean and well dressed when I visit and his room is always clean and tidy. Management are very approachable and show good knowledge of my dad's condition, his needs and his medication. The nursing staff or management always contact me with any changes or other significant information. His dietary needs are personalised and management open to suggestions / ideas. The activities co-ordinator tries to tailor activities to individual interests. Security is as it should be for a facility where many residents have dementia. I feel that my Dad is safe and well cared for at Knowesouth.

Having a choice of 3 care homes, my father and I chose Roxholm Hall Care Home because we thought the care was better than the others. 2 members of staff came to visit us the day before my father was going for respite. I wish now he only stayed the week not 2 weeks. It was nice to see 2 staff beforehand. We were made welcome at the home, shown to his room. My father settled after a week. Unfortunately Thursday 1st Oct my father was still in bed (soiled) at 12:30. I tried to get him up, very wobbly, I expressed my concerns, not hydrated enough, plus I said to watch him, worried he may fall. He fell twice, still in hospital, hurt his back, severely dehydrated and UTI. So upsetting

My mum has recently been residing as a short term resident with Alzheimer's. The care and compassion she has received has been 5 star! The team at Cathedral Care Home has been significantly higher than we had ever expected and the transformation in both my mums appearance and mental wellbeing has also all improved. We cannot recommend Cathedral Care Home enough :)

Dad has been in St Margaret's since February this year. He settled in well mainly due to the care and compassion shown by staff. He enjoyed chatting with others in the sitting room and dining room. Laterally as his health deteriorated he has spent much more time in his bedroom. Staff frequently pop in to check on him/have a chat/encourage him to eat or drink. I like that we , his family, are kept up to date with any changes in his health. Staff are always very welcoming and have time just to tell us how his day is going. Any appointments are dealt with efficiently and again we are given support as needed. We are relieved dad has 24 hour care thank you.

Found the staff very approachable and reassuring when asking questions relating to my aunt moving into the care home. When visiting, they made me feel very welcome and updated me with my aunts Wellbeing.

Dad passed away in June 2025 and the staff were fantastic supporting Mum and helping myself and my 2 brothers sort things out. Mum has been on her own since then and they have always kept us informed of any health issues Mum has had. Katie the Manager, Josh the assitant manager and the Senior careers in particular have been extremly helpful. Although we have had limited experiance with any other care homes we did in the past have experiance with one other care home which has made us realise how good Lennel house is. Also dealing wirh the finance team at St Philips head office has been very easy.

My mother chose to move to Tunstall Hall Care Centre for end of life care in January 2026. She received the care she asked for and deserved. The staff at Tunstall Hall went above and beyond to facilitate Mum's passing on her own terms and as she wanted.

My step-father remains a resident at Tunstall Hall. He has a lovely room and particularly enjoys the food which is plentiful, varied and tasty. Whilst he isn't always the most cooperative person, the staff treat him with respect and always find a way to get him on side with humour and a personalised approach. He couldn't be in a better place given his needs and circumstances.

Its the staff that make a care home a true 'home'. At Tunstall Hall there are longstanding professionals, all from the local area, who talk to residents about people and places familiar to them. Lesley and Vicky (Manager and Deputy Manager) lead the way in setting a culture that is caring and fun for people at a vulnerable stage of life.

I can't praise the carers enough for what they do. You can hear so many horror stories in the media about care homes, but not enough about the really good ones. The carers communicate really well with my Sister & I about our Mum & they also accommodate anything we ask for on our Mum's behalf. Food is delicious too!

My Gran was admited to Lennel House in March when unable to live at home alone, we are happy with the care that is provided, my gran lived alone so it's lovely that she has lots of friends she can talk to, we have peace of mind knowing she is cared for 24 hours a day

We will all miss our visits and again thank you so much.

During her final days, which were very difficult for us, the staff were incredibly generous with their time; prepared to go the extra mile for us. We can't thank them enough.

The staff at Bonchester have been great, mum now feels at home there and is very well looked after and safe.

My mum was in the maple for nearly 5yrs. She was diagnosed End of Life on 03/05/26 and died 8/9/26. The staff were amazing looking after Mum, and Michelle in particular supported me too in her last days of her life. All the staff have been amazing over the time Mum was in care

My wife Glennis came into cathedral view for respite for two weeks and ended up been there five weeks and the care she had while there she had excellent care up until I took her home to die which is what she wanted

We cannot thank the care home and all the staff enough for the wonderful care and support they have given my dad. From day one, they have been caring, compassionate and understanding, always taking the time to meet his individual needs. With their dedication and support, Dad's health and wellbeing have improved so much that he is now able to return to independent living, which is something we never thought possible when he first arrived. The whole team have gone above and beyond, treating Dad with dignity, kindness and genuine care. We will always be incredibly grateful for everything they have done for him and for our family. Thank you all so much.

During my sister's stay care always been well cared for. Responds timely all problems resolved.

Absolutely wonderful place for mum to be in. The staff are brilliant and so reassuring after so much apprehension about mum having to go into respite. Quite a few staff have been working here years which tells you what a settled place it is to work. Mum loves it, & we as a family are happy for her to live here safe and sound.
