My mum is now over 2 years living in Belmont and not many care homes actually feel like home but Belmont does. It feels of a large extended family home which is why everyone feels so comfortable in the lounge which is at its heart. To make it more open the partitions in the lounge could be taken away
to make it more open for other residents to be more involved and enjoy the activities more. The staff are dedicated, professional, super friendly and so supportive to everyone and also to the families The activities and entertainment are fantastic and every opportunity is made to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays as well as key dates in the year. They know how to throw a party! All the food is made in house which makes all the difference. I leave in the knowledge that my mum has the care that she requires 24/7. Truly grateful.

From my partners observations she is a resident in the care home, together with my observations being a regular visiter to the home, both our opinions are that the staff are very professional and caring in all aspects of care for the residents. As well as the normal running of the home, there is provision
for leisure activities ie concerts, music nights and occasional trips out. To places that interest the residents. All in all I feel that the care home is excellent.

Visiting our relative today we met lots of members of the team who were very friendly and caring, and who clearly know our relative well. She was very complimentary about the cleanliness of the home and the food, and it was lovely to hear that she had been taken out recently to the shops, which meant
a lot to her. Our relative is struggling to adapt to the loss of her independence, but we feel she is safe and well looked after at Belmont House. I have marked satisfactory for cleanliness as her bathroom smelled quite strongly of urine on our visit today.

My mum has been in Alma McFadyen House for almost two years. She has received the highest quality of care and attention.
The staff are always around to answer any questions. They also keep me well informed if anything happens with my mum and I am not there.
All the staff are respectful to the residents.
The lady does a wonderful job of keeping the residents occupied and interactive as much as they can. They have many groups who come into the home to entertain the residents. She also keeps the home themed to what time of the year it is.
This year the Christmas decorations were outstanding. Beautiful for the residents. The maintenance person makes sure that the grounds around the home are welcoming and not neglected. He keeps the garden at the back of Alma a wonderful space to sit when the weather allows.
The home is clean and tidy to a very high standard. My mother's room is always clean and tidy.
As a family, we are very happy with Alma McFadyen House.

Mum is so well cared for. At the moment the care home is so Christmassy and warm and welcoming. It's so friendly and Mum (who has advanced dementia) is telling us how happy she is here. We can visit anytime we want. They are so welcoming to us and know Mum's needs each day. Although Mum doesn't leave
the care home now, she is well-stimulated with all the activities and interaction with all the people around her and is left to sleep when she wants to or needs to. I'm so happy she is here at Alma KcFadyen House. It's the best.

As a family, we are delighted with the care and attention our mother receives at Alma McFadyen House. The staff are all very lovely and nothing is ever too much trouble. Alma House has a great feel to it and is very welcoming. Mum's room is kept clean and tidy and she is able to have her own things

As our mum's dementia progressed and her mobility deteriorated, we decided to accept a place at Belmont House Care Home. The team of carers are friendly and kind and the environment homely. Her room is cosy with a view over the garden. The common room has large windows which let in a lot of light and
it is surrounded by trees. Meals look delicious and the residents eat together in a small dining room with colourful pictures on the walls. The weekday afternoon activities are great, very varied, from music to arts and crafts or outings and the activities manager posts videos and photos regularly on social media.

I visit a service user with his wife and have always found they have been welcoming, friendly, clean and lovely.
The service user is well cared for medically, physically and his mental health needs met.
Very pleased with his care and do not worry about him at all.

I have found the staff at Belmont very helpful, supportive and understanding. There has never been a time when I haven't found the staff to talk to or help with my parents. This care home is very much user-led and takes on board any comments and ideas given. Very happy with the whole setup.

I am so happy that my mother in law came to live at Alma McFadyen House. We were all very concerned as to how she would settle in moving to a town as she has lived beside the sea most of her life. The friendliness of the staff and the general ethos of the care home had her settling in within days. I
feel that she sees this as her home. I would recommend this home to anyone.

I have found the staff to be helpful, polite, courteous and considerate. They know Mum well and understand her situation, likes and dislikes. They are always cheerful and positive and appreciate the different activities and events, and they work hard to include her. I know they listen to Mum and respect
her wishes. I always feel fully informed and enjoy seeing Mum on their Facebook page.
