Good to see Alma as friendly as it was with my grandparents and now with my mother in law.

From mum arriving at Alma on coming from hospital I have been impressed with everything. The welcome on her arrival was second to none. It was as if she'd been away for the day. Staff are all so friendly and approachable. Nothing a bother, long may this continue.

Management communication is excellent. Inclusive activities are a regular feature and the food is very good. The home has a beautifully kept garden.

The care is amazing

Alma House offers a safe and warm home to all residents, where a smile and a joke are always welcome.

My father has been a resident at Alma McFadyen House for 1 year and 4 months. When he went into the care home he was made welcome by staff. He settled right in, he loves his bedroom, that overlooks the lovely garden, and staff brought him a bird feeder which is attached to his window as he loves to watch the birds. The staff keep the care home immaculately clean and dad is always dressed and turned out well. We feel the staff are like his extended family. The meals provided are tasty and they have a good choice. At the moment the cooked breakfasts are going down a storm! I'm so happy we chose Alma House for him, as I know he is very well cared for.

The staff here are amazing. Treated my mum with so much care, thoughtfulness and kindness.

Excellent - staff helpful and caring.

Every time I visit the care home I always find the staff to be on the ball and always friendly. The home itself is always clean and tidy, as are the rooms. A lot of entertainment also goes on in the home which everybody enjoys.

My mum is now over 2 years living in Belmont and not many care homes actually feel like home but Belmont does. It feels of a large extended family home which is why everyone feels so comfortable in the lounge which is at its heart. To make it more open the partitions in the lounge could be taken away to make it more open for other residents to be more involved and enjoy the activities more. The staff are dedicated, professional, super friendly and so supportive to everyone and also to the families The activities and entertainment are fantastic and every opportunity is made to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays as well as key dates in the year. They know how to throw a party! All the food is made in house which makes all the difference. I leave in the knowledge that my mum has the care that she requires 24/7. Truly grateful.

From my partners observations she is a resident in the care home, together with my observations being a regular visiter to the home, both our opinions are that the staff are very professional and caring in all aspects of care for the residents. As well as the normal running of the home, there is provision for leisure activities ie concerts, music nights and occasional trips out. To places that interest the residents. All in all I feel that the care home is excellent.

Very good and satisfactory and good staff

Visiting our relative today we met lots of members of the team who were very friendly and caring, and who clearly know our relative well. She was very complimentary about the cleanliness of the home and the food, and it was lovely to hear that she had been taken out recently to the shops, which meant a lot to her. Our relative is struggling to adapt to the loss of her independence, but we feel she is safe and well looked after at Belmont House. I have marked satisfactory for cleanliness as her bathroom smelled quite strongly of urine on our visit today.

As a family, we are very happy with Alma McFadyen House.

Mum is so well cared for. At the moment the care home is so Christmassy and warm and welcoming. It's so friendly and Mum (who has advanced dementia) is telling us how happy she is here. We can visit anytime we want. They are so welcoming to us and know Mum's needs each day. Although Mum doesn't leave the care home now, she is well-stimulated with all the activities and interaction with all the people around her and is left to sleep when she wants to or needs to. I'm so happy she is here at Alma KcFadyen House. It's the best.

Alma McFadyen Care Home is an excellent home. Cleanliness, staff, environment, food and activities are great. Couldn't recommend the home enough. Enjoy going about my day knowing I am safe and well looked after.

As our mum's dementia progressed and her mobility deteriorated, we decided to accept a place at Belmont House Care Home. The team of carers are friendly and kind and the environment homely. Her room is cosy with a view over the garden. The common room has large windows which let in a lot of light and it is surrounded by trees. Meals look delicious and the residents eat together in a small dining room with colourful pictures on the walls. The weekday afternoon activities are great, very varied, from music to arts and crafts or outings and the activities manager posts videos and photos regularly on social media.

Good communication to his wife at all times too.

My husband has been in Belmont House for five years now and I am very happy with his care. The staff and the manager are all very good with him. I could not ask for any better care.

Always been pleasant. Staff are helpful and friendly.
