My wife Glennis came into cathedral view for respite for two weeks and ended up been there five weeks and the care she had while there she had excellent care up until I took her home to die which is what she wanted

We cannot thank the care home and all the staff enough for the wonderful care and support they have given my dad. From day one, they have been caring, compassionate and understanding, always taking the time to meet his individual needs. With their dedication and support, Dad's health and wellbeing have improved so much that he is now able to return to independent living, which is something we never thought possible when he first arrived. The whole team have gone above and beyond, treating Dad with dignity, kindness and genuine care. We will always be incredibly grateful for everything they have done for him and for our family. Thank you all so much.

My father was cared for at Ridgeway and recently passed away peacefully. All staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, always going above and beyond ensuring we were all looked after as a whole family. Their interpersonal skills, while remaining professional, provided confidence and comfort. We are very grateful and would like to thank everyone for the laughter, kindness and support.

All staff within Cathedral Care Home were excellent whilst my husband was in their care. Although he was only there for a relatively short time frame, he was welcomed into the family atmosphere by all management, nursing and other staff within the facility, who accommodated his needs, and gave him the care and dignity he required. This care, help and guidance was also extended to myself and our daughter whilst visiting. I would highly recommend Cathedral Care Home.

Last but no means least, Julie the cleaner. When I first met Julie I thought she was part of the management team, she was that good and supportive. It shows the caring mentality running throughout the team.

I can't fault anything with the card my dad is getting

Since the new manager took over, things at the care home have greatly improved. There is so much more going on for the residents and I know my mum has now settled, even though this has taken some time. She knows it's her home now and I feel this is down to all the caring & supportive staff at the home.

I visit Gwen every week. Have lunch with her, then we play scrabble, lunch excellent. My husband Graham came in for respite care about 17 years ago. Excellent then.

I am fully confident she is being cared and looked after in the best possible way.

My Grandad is currently in Canwick. The staff treat him very well. He does many activities with Andrea who is very good with him. Whenever I visit I always feel Grandad is in a happy place, the staff look after Grandad really well. And Debra always makes sure he has his juice or a cup of tea.

My Mum lived at The Ridgeway for 3 years until she passed away in March 2026. The staff are absolutely amazing and helped Mum and me and my family navigate a very difficult period in our lives with so much care and compassion. They really are a family and the atmosphere is always upbeat and very friendly and there is always a cup of coffee and time for a chat and a hug. The activities are varied and Mum started to paint, she had never painted in her life so this was wonderful that the activities coordinator managed to persuade her to try something new. I cannot put into words how grateful my family are for the amazing care Mum received and how 'looked after' we were when Mum passed away. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Ridgeway to anyone, it absolutely is fabulous.

My grandad is currently here for rest bite, the staff are very helpful and very friendly and take good care and meet the needs of him. The staff are also very welcoming and friendly to me and my family members. Always a lovely atmosphere as you enter the building and very calm. Nice building and garden and his room is of good size and always clean. He seems a lot happier and the care he is receiving is of outstanding quality.

I am able to sleep well at night knowing that my mum is well cared for by the amazing staff at The Grove. When looking for a home for my mum I knew needed caring and happy people looking after her. The Grove was and is by far the nicest home from home that I could find (and I looked at lots). My mum deserved the best and I believe that is what I have found for her.

I call weekly to style my friends, one of the residents hair, and I always find the staff very pleasant, professional and helpful.

The home is always very clean and tidy.

I would highly recommend The Grove to anyone needing their services.

My father moving into a care home at the age of 87 with dementia was without doubt a very emotional time for the family.

This awful transition was made easier for us by the management and staff of Canwick.

From day one we were reassured by management that Dad would be looked after and he truly is.

The care shown from all the staff has made Dad settle in very well. Good days and bad days the staff are on hand to help with whatever Dads needs are.

I cannot recommend Canwick Care home enough for anyone in the situation we were in making that decision for what is our head of the family Dad.

But dementia and being at home was unsafe and being in the care home, he's safe, cared for with a group of ultimate professionals.

Although she did not want to move to The Grove at first, she soon came to like being there. Her room was spotless and spacious. Thank you for taking such good care of her.

My father came to live here after his wife passed away. From the very first meeting my dad was treated with respect and courtesy. My dad loved his room which was cosy and personal. He loved talking to all the staff and felt safe and cared for. Although he was only there for 4 months before he passed away he felt happy and content. Each and every member of staff are kind, courtious and respectfull. Thank you so very much.

This is a very friendly, efficient care centre. My mother can be very difficult at times, but they cope with her very well. She is always clean and tidy when I visit, and I am always kept informed about her needs.

One word 'OUTSTANDING'

The staff are very helpful and friendly. They appear to be taking excellent care of my uncle. There were lovely Xmas decks in the lounge and it was warm. The activities keep people cheerful. Good standard of cleanliness.
