Since the new manager took over, things at the care home have greatly improved. There is so much more going on for the residents and I know my mum has now settled, even though this has taken some time. She knows it's her home now and I feel this is down to all the caring & supportive staff at the home.

My Grandad is currently in Canwick. The staff treat him very well. He does many activities with Andrea who is very good with him. Whenever I visit I always feel Grandad is in a happy place, the staff look after Grandad really well. And Debra always makes sure he has his juice or a cup of tea.

My grandad is currently here for rest bite, the staff are very helpful and very friendly and take good care and meet the needs of him. The staff are also very welcoming and friendly to me and my family members. Always a lovely atmosphere as you enter the building and very calm. Nice building and garden and his room is of good size and always clean. He seems a lot happier and the care he is receiving is of outstanding quality.

My father moving into a care home at the age of 87 with dementia was without doubt a very emotional time for the family.

This awful transition was made easier for us by the management and staff of Canwick.

From day one we were reassured by management that Dad would be looked after and he truly is.

The care shown from all the staff has made Dad settle in very well. Good days and bad days the staff are on hand to help with whatever Dads needs are.

I cannot recommend Canwick Care home enough for anyone in the situation we were in making that decision for what is our head of the family Dad.

But dementia and being at home was unsafe and being in the care home, he's safe, cared for with a group of ultimate professionals.

This is a very friendly, efficient care centre. My mother can be very difficult at times, but they cope with her very well. She is always clean and tidy when I visit, and I am always kept informed about her needs.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. They appear to be taking excellent care of my uncle. There were lovely Xmas decks in the lounge and it was warm. The activities keep people cheerful. Good standard of cleanliness.

I came to see my sister and was amazed at the change in her. Hair done, nails smart and so happy and smiling. The home and staff are fantastic. I really can't believe in the change in my sister. The home is tidy, clean and staff so great, nothing is too much trouble.

My mum moved to Canwick Court in May. It is very friendly, the staff are very helpful especially one in particular. The food is wonderful and they are very patient with mum who does get confused. Her room is lovely and big and she has her own curtains up which makes her feel at home.

Canwick Court Care Centre is homely, it doesn't feel clinical like a hospital, it isn't noisy and bustling, it is a calm environment. When you walk in, in many ways it is like a family home and you are greeted with a smile by all of the staff.
My mother is treated with respect, she is listened to and the staff try hard to try and work out her needs.

We (the family) feel like we are part of the decision making and there is genuine of interested in her well being.

The care staff were second to none. My father was placed there after discharge from hospital. Even though he was only there for a just over a week, he was treated with the upper most care and respect. The administration before his arrival allowed us as a family to be able to see him without any issues or concerns. Whilst there, the manager and staff answered all of our questions and concerns, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the time my father had remaining with us. Canwick Court Care Centre was immaculate and easily accessible. They allowed us to visit at any time within reason, even late at night. The professional attitude of the staff was very good, at one point not passing information to someone who phoned to ask about my father. I cannot express the gratitude that my family has for the great service towards my father and my family. Many thanks to all the staff.

My dad lived in Canwick Court Care Centre for just under a year. He struggled to adjust to life in a care home in the beginning but within a few weeks, he was soon waving us off without a care.
He joined in with all the activities (even bingo) that the staff put on and when we visited we would be encouraged to join in which we did often. It was really lovely getting to know all the residents.
Dad soon became a big part of life in Canwick Court. Staff and residents all loved him and when it came to end of life, the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for him or us, as a family. Nothing was any trouble. They did everything possible to make Dad comfortable and we were all welcome to visit anytime, day or night.

We can't thank all the staff and residents of Canwick Court enough for all they've done for Dad and our family.

My mum went into Canwick Care Home until a home care package could be found, and was there for about three weeks. Mum had a decent size room which unfortunately wasn't en-suite.
Mum was looked after by the very friendly staff really well, nothing was too much trouble and I felt that mum was very safe there. The staff were first class, always on hand, offering drinks and making sure that medication was provided correctly.

It is an older building, however, the staff make up for this, my mum was sorry to leave them.

I really do have nothing but praise for this beautiful home and the outstanding team!
From the very first evening when my stepfather first arrived back in November, we have found the home to be very warm and welcoming and a real home-from-home feel. He was always very happy with every aspect of living in the home and every single member of the team always went above and beyond to make him feel welcome.
The food and refreshments were always very good quality and nutritional and any requests were always carried out fully.
We were always kept up to date and informed of any changes with his care needs and we felt fully confident his needs were met at all times.
I personally cannot thank every single member of the home enough for absolutely every little part you each played in ensuring he was well looked after and cared for with respect and dignity at all times.

Thank you all so much again and keep up the amazing work you all do, you're all incredible.

My father has settled well into Canwick Court, he is being very well looked after and the staff have been very caring and helpful. His room is very spacious and he has a pleasant view. He enjoys the meals provided and the availability of refreshments throughout the day. He goes on outside excursions quite frequently and the staff are always helpful in making sure that he is provided with his medications whilst away.

Since entering Canwick Court Care Centre, our father was given the most warm welcome from everyone he met. The staff attend to his and all the residents' needs with care, respect and kindness. Dad has had a few times where paramedic's have been called. The staff have dealt with these in a very professional manner and even called me for an update on Dad when off duty, dedication springs to mind!
The activities within the home Dad really enjoys. I have even caught him laughing which I haven't seen for two years. The food looks amazing, also in the hot weather through the summer it was ice-cream central.

I truly can say; to the manager and all the staff that have listened and answered my questions that I may have had over the last few months, the chap who helped to place his art work on his bedroom walls, the cleaning staff, cooks and activities person and anyone else I may have forgotten, "thank you" for helping to give quality of life back to Dad, this is where he is happy, feels safe and secure.

When my mother first went into the home I was met with warmth and care from everyone in the home. At first, I wasn't keen on the building as it's not modern so the manager and staff have to make it work and they do. Anything I asked for was promptly attended to. The care for my mother was first-class and delivered with love.

Since coming to Canwick Court, my mum's quality of life has improved immeasurably. It is a place where she is safe and well looked after. The staff are very patient/resident-focused and go to great lengths to ensure residents are happy. The building is clean, and the food is good. The staff are cheerful and happy, which to me demonstrates they are treated well and fairly. As a healthcare professional myself, I do have experience in residential and nursing homes and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this one.
