The Grove Care Home

My mum has been a resident at The Grove for 18 months. Although she has very complex needs she is cared for in a professional and caring manner. Both the manager and staff are always easily accessible to talk over any problems that may occur. The staff do try to include mum with activities but I understand that this is difficult.

Staff are hardworking, professional and overall reassuring.

This is one of the hardest jobs in the world, I feel. The staff here are really friendly, they work extremely hard to make sure all residents are comfortable.

It's really clean and tidy. Staff here always make us feel welcome and nothing's too much trouble for any member of staff. I'm relieved and content knowing my Nan is in really good hands.

Extremely happy with the care my mum has been given. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. The home is very clean and tidy, food is very good. Staff make us feel welcome at all times. They have an extremely hard job but they do it extremely well.

I am happy and content knowing that my mum is well looked after.

The staff have also been friendly and helpful to family and friends who are encouraged to visit at any time.

I can't think of a better place that I would like Mum to be in her twilight years. Thank you!

The care, food, friendliness and service are excellent.

Mum went in The Grove when she knew she was near the end of her life and she knew that neither she nor us could manage her health problems in her own home. Every member of staff that we met gave mum extreme care and kindness and we can't thank them enough. I would also like to thank the district nurse and praise the relationship between the staff at The Grove and the district nurses as it contributed enormously to helping mum through her last days.

The staff are very caring towards all the residents. They spend time with them. They are also considerate to families. If I ever have any issues which I need to discuss, they listen and action a response. If needed they discuss them with the seniors or manager.

The manager is very proficient in the role. She also is very caring and easily approachable if I need to discuss any issues.

Very well run care home and I would highly recommend it.

Excellent care for my mum.

Having worked in care myself for 10 years I know good care when I see it. The staff at The Grove have all been excellent and that is a rare find. It is reassuring to know that when we leave she is receiving the best possible care.

They took over my mum's care and were able to advise me what are would be needed taking a huge weight off me. The home was well maintained and set in lovely surroundings. I cannot thank them enough.

Gave my aunt extremely good care. Not the best it terms of bricks and mortar but it’s the staff that count and they were very caring.

My father has been in The Grove for over 2 years they look after him so well and I never worry about him. My mother is there at the moment for respite and is very happy. So much so she wants to stay. The carers are so lovely and the food is always cooked to perfection. I know my parents are safe and well cared for. Thank you The Grove.

Great home with staff who care.

As a family, we thank all the staff at this amazing care home. My brother-in-law passed away in The Grove Care Home this week. We couldn't have wished for better care for him. He and ourselves were treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. The kindness shown to us all was lovely, especially to his elderly wife. Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone had a comforting smile and a kind word, (as well as a lovely cup of tea). We were made to feel welcome at all times and kept informed of any changes. You can see how hard everyone works and it shows in the deliverance of care. Thank you from the Cooke family.

As a family, we cannot thank everyone at The Grove enough for the care and attention my Grandmother received.

Everything is in order. No complaints. Highly satisfied.

My auntie was on end of life care after developing tumours which were very sudden. After visiting a number of times and finally in her final hours on this earth, I would just like to commend all the staff for the kindness and dignity shown. They made it a bit easier and went beyond what was expected. Thank you so so much.
