Mum has been a resident at Sandrock House for over a year; in that time she has consistently been treated with kindness and respect. Medical issues have been identified and dealt with promptly and I am notified about changes in her health and/or medication I visit regularly and am always made to feel welcome. Staff are approachable and it is easy to ask any questions as they arise. I am confident that mum is safe and well cared for at Sandrock House.
I have observed such wonderful and genuine care for my mum and all of the residents, with every interaction I have witnessed, from the management to the kitchen staff and cleaners - every single member of staff shows genuine affection for the residents. The carers go above and beyond to make sure that everyone is safe and cared for and feels genuinely valued. There is also much laughter.
My father has been a resident at Sandrock House Care Home for over two years now, and our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The staff are incredibly helpful, always treating residents with kindness, respect, and genuine care. Communication is excellent, and any concerns or queries are quickly addressed - the manager is approachable and easy to speak with, which provides real peace of mind. One of the real highlights is the activities program. With two dedicated activity coordinators, there's always a full and varied weekly schedule - from engaging in-house activities to enjoyable days out. These opportunities really make a difference in my father's quality of life and overall happiness. I'm very grateful to everyone at Sandrock House for the support they've provided, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other families looking for a safe and caring environment for their loved one
Excellent reception when visiting and immediate attention to detail about potential needs of a difficult patient. Combined with impressive enquiry call before visit Sandrock became a clear favourite. Too early to judge on mother's views and behaviour but she will be a challenge. I think the home is up for it and she will benefit.
My dear 92 yr old mother with stage 5/6 Alzheimer's unfortunately had to go into a "emergency respite" for a few weeks, the care home she was temporarily admitted to cared for her well, but it just didn't meet all the tick boxes we wanted for our very much loved mum & nana, after several weeks of looking around care homes my daughter in Cambridgeshire found Sandrock House care home, Doncaster ( where my mum lived) we made an appointment & was pleasantly greeted by the home manager & the assistant manager, within half hour of them informing us of the day to day routine of Sandrock & the care they deliver was a no brainer for us, we was confident this home ticked all the boxes, especially the sound of the tentative care they deliver to their residents & this was even before looking around the home. Having looked around the beautiful well maintained home & gardens we was so thrilled & reassured we had made the right decision.
I am very pleased with the care Sandrock House provide for my mother. There are activities am & pm during the week which I encourage her to attend. There is always a choice of food at mealtimes and all staff are very helpful & caring with my mother. Senior staff are prompt at dealing with my queries.

Sandrock has some excellent staff and facilities for those in need of care. Dad has been there for 5 years now and the early stages of dementia are becoming visible. The fact that the staff have mainly remained constant and continue to provide a high level of care and support is truly remarkable and in my view has helped dad in these complex and changing times. The staff have become part of the extended family offering quality help and care. The support for me (as next of kin) and the family has been great especially in keeping me / us informed of when things have been difficult for Dad or involved other healthcare services. During the COVID period which was difficult for all but was even more complicated for me as I lived abroad the care home team without breaching government guidelines were extremely supportive when I was able to visit. That trust plus the building of a healthy relationship for both me and dad has been the bedrock of a continuing relationship. Thank you
My mum has been in Sandrock houe for over 2 years now and she likes it very much. She is getting more muddled and can be difficult. The staff are really good with her and if I ask them to do anything for her they are more than obliging. The family would not want her to be anywhere else. Her room is a decent size on the ground floor and she has French doors out Into to the garden. She can out her own plants in the garden, which is lovely. She has her own bird feeder, which the family keep topped up, as she enjoys watching the birds (and squirrels).

My Mother had been in the hospital for some 10 days prior to moving into Sandrock, and the day that she arrived still with health issues the staff just could not do enough for her. Everything that she wanted was provided with a beautiful room en-suite, and her own dedicated Senior Carer and Assistant. It was unfortunate that my mother's health issues meant that she had to return to hospital where she, unfortunately, passed away on 28th September. I would just like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Sandrock for their professionalism and dedication to my mother's wellbeing whilst she was in their care.
My mother in law has resided in Sandrock house for nearly three years. During her time there we have been very satisfied with the care she has received. She is always treated with respect and the staff are very caring and patient with her.
My mother has been a resident for 3 ½ years and has been very happy here at Sandrock House. The place, staff and care is very good. My mum is treated with dignity and compassion. The standard of care is high. The staff are welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend Sandrock House
