View Full Details of Layden Court Care HomeFrom the time my husband went into Layden Court, he was made to feel like he was home and not in care home. They soon learnt his likes and dislikes. Treated him like an adult, not a child, and he could make up his own mind. He laughed, smiled and became family with those their through their genourosity and help with the daily things my husband could no longer do independently, such as they made sure he was washed, shaved, properly groomed and has his hair cut. His food looked delicious, in fact this made us want to eat there. Puddings were always his favourite. Access was always welcome. They also helped me with any concerns, like when I felt like he needed to see a doctor. In his final days we were informed of any medical care that was prescribed. When he passed, the phones were not working so one of the many kind nurses who cared for my husband used her own phone to ensure that I was informed as soon as possible. Can't thank them enough.
My mum has been a resident in Layden court for around two months , she has come on leaps and bounds, the staff are absolutely brilliant with her and nothing is to much trouble. She is eating well and is really enjoying the delicious home cooked meals everyday . Mum has lots of visitors and we are all made to feel very welcome . I can highly recommend Layden Court
My husband went into Layden Court for a two week respite, initial thoughts on the home was that it was clean and the residents were well looked after, whilst in the home my husband had to see the doctor he was lovely and very considerate and the home was very efficient.
Mum was placed in the care home at the end of April after 3 weeks in hospital following a stroke. When I visited in May I was immediately impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the homely/family feel of the place. Mum is given first class care and attention and I have not seen her laugh so much in ages. She seems very content and I am relaxed knowing she is looked after so well. Thank you to all the staff involved with her care.
The staff at Layden Court have been amazing. During my husband's stay he has received a high level of care and attention even when his behaviour has been challenging. The management have been a huge support to both myself and my husband and I would highly recommend the care at Layden Court.
The respect, care and dignity my mum received from all staff at Layden Court could not have been better. The nurses, care assistants, domestic helpers, cooks and cleaning staff were all to kind to mum, her family and her friends. The food was nutritious, imaginative and tasty. The various activities arranged included singing, dancing, arts and crafts were a pleasant, happy distraction for all. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all so much from us all.
My sister was admitted to Layden Court for palliative care after suffering heart failure and Parkinson's Disease (for 20 years). Her care there was exemplary, the staff attentive, genuinely caring, specifically the deputy manager, whom I believe was acting as manager. Heartily recommend!
I would just like to start by saying the biggest thank you to the Deputy Manager & all the staff here at Layden Court. The love & care you showed my Dad for the short 2 weeks he was with you was absolutely incredible, the only reason he is now home after a short stay is down to you guys, so thank you. The home itself is lovely & clean, from the different dining rooms, lounges, gardens & personal rooms, they're all absolutely wonderful. I honestly cannot fault anything about this wonderful place, the staff & residents feel like one big family & what more could you want for your own family member. From the minute Mum & I went to look around Layden Court, to the day my Dad was welcomed with open arms, the staff instantly looked after us all, always offering drinks when Dad had one, even food as my Mum would be there every day. We told the deputy manager our end goal was home & she fully supported & worked with us to make this possible. I don't think words could ever thank you all enough!
We have had an amazing experience of Layden Court. They have looked after as parents as respite at a crucial time when Dad needed it. All the staff have been amazing & kind. Dad has been born and bred in the local area so here was definitely the best choice.
My lovely mum was in Layden court for 6 weeks, I cannot thank all the staff for the care, support and love they provided for her, myself and her grandsons during this difficult time. The care and attention was excellent, nothing was too much trouble, with numerous cups of tea provided for the family. It was a difficult decision to place Mum in a nursing home, but it was the right one and it allowed me to be her daughter and spend quality time with my mum in the last few weeks of her life, ones I will treasure forever. Thank you.
My dad came here in July this year, at first we were reluctant to let him come but my mum could not manage anymore. At first, he didn't settle but after time he is ok. The staff are wonderful with him, he can be difficult and awkward but they manage him lovely. I wish my mum was with him as I know they would be looked after.
It was my first time visiting my friend since she was admitted. I was welcomed by a lovely lady. She made me feel really welcomed and as I was at home. She introduced me to staff who showed me where my friend was. My friend was in her room and looked happy. I was offered a drink then told if I needed anything to just ask. My friend voiced how happy she was and felt very settled and safe. Thank you, everyone, especially one staff member for your hospitality.
I came to see my friend, it was dinnertime and smelt lovely. I was asked by staff if I would like some dinner, I said that would be nice and the food was lovely. My friend looked very well, he took me to his room which was nice with a nice view of the garden. I had a lovely time with my friend.
The home looks lovely when you walk in. There was no smell and the staff were very friendly. My friend was happy to be there and she said the food was nice and I have made friends here. I had not seen my friend for a while but she looked well.
My mother has lived at Layden Court for a year and it is very well looked after. The staff are very good. Nothing is too much trouble.
My mum is looked after very well. We have had a few concerns in the past, but have been dealt with very well. The staff are lovely and I am glad we put Mam in this care home.
Pleased out of special measures. Most carers friendly and approachable - management easily accessible. Improvements in activities taking place. Had to ask for clean bedding. Still no towel in Mum's toilet, despite telling senior manager yesterday. Happy to allow relatives to have lunch with Mum. Useful having social media to look at what is happening during activities. Hope improvements maintained.
I was visiting my wife who is now bed-bound as she is steadily deteriorating, she looks comfortable and doesn't seem to be in any pain. She has been on regular 15-minute interval checks but during our visits cares do come to her bringing drinks and check on her.
I arrived at Layden Court Care Home at about 11:00 am and was received by staff on duty with a smiling face. Their conduct towards me was very amazing. They assisted me in every aspect of the procedure and made my stay very good. Thank you so much.
I am pleased with the service and level of care even by the staff members at Layden Court. They have gone above and beyond for my mum and for her family members. I would highly recommend this care home for anyone needing the care this home offers as they would not be disappointed.
