View Full Details of Twelve Trees Care LtdTwelve Trees staff care for my mum in a way she couldn't care for herself at home. Her general health has improved while being in Twelve Trees. They are all very caring, considerate, friendly and look after the residents extremely well. They take her out for day trips and she can sit in the garden as well as the indoor spaces. Nothing is a problem. There are no restrictions on visiting and I can take her out anytime I like. Meals are all cooked on the premises and are excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending Twelve Trees Care Home.
Twelve Trees provided amazing care for both my grandma's so was a natural choice when mum needed more care than could be provided at home due to dementia deterioration. Mum hated the idea of care so we gently introduced her via the day care route and she attended once a week for several weeks and absolutely loved it! During this time the situation sadly further deteriorated at home despite best efforts and she moved into a permanent place last summer when things reached crisis point. It was the best decision ever. We were blown away with how well she settled and we absolutely loved seeing her on all the trips out for fish and chips, to town, other attractions. She was so well looked after and genuinely happy for the first time in a long time. She made friends and was involved with all the activities. As a family we cannot recommend Twelve Trees enough and honestly believe it is the best in Sheffield. Sadly mum is no longer with us but her last months were so happy.
My husband has Day Care on Tuesdays. The staff are very good, friendly and make him very welcome. The food is excellent and there is always something to do. He has been taken out on quite a few occasions. I think we are lucky to have found such excellent care.
I find the care compassionate and professional that my mother receives, with excellent communication between staff and relatives. The care home has a nice relaxed, homely atmosphere and all the staff are extremely kind and helpful.
From the start we were impressed by the home and senior staff. After attending for day care my wife fractured her hip and required 24-hour residential support. The natural choice was Twelve Trees - a decision which I have never regretted. The home and the staff always engender a cheerful, loving and caring environment. Guests are cared for with dignity and understanding - all personal needs are met. The home is fresh, clean and tidy - no unwanted, stale odours - and the garden is lovely and well kept. The catering is excellent with good choice of food and the rooms are meticulously, regularly and hygienically serviced. My wife now has little awareness of her surroundings but she accepts and responds to the facilities, routine and to the caring, sympathetic staff. She loves the entertainment provided (particularly the music) and enjoys trips out in the mini-van. I am able to see her every day and take her out for a drive. The home welcomes visitors at any time.
My wife has daycare Monday, Tuesday, Friday. I am only at Twelve Trees a few minutes each day. My wife cannot communicate so this review is based on what I observed whilst I'm here. The staff and management are all lovely, very efficient. The place is nice and clean. My wife enjoys spending time there. They feed her too much, if anything, as she has put on weight. I would recommend Twelve Trees to anyone looking for a care home.
My mother initially attended the daycare sessions at Twelve Trees, the experience for mum was really fulfilling and emotionally rewarding, trips out and numerous activities to occupy her. This then extended to Mum having to make the decision to move into Twelve Trees due to health reasons. It was a very stress-free move, all the staff and management were so reassuring and attentive during my mother's move. Twelve Trees staff are so friendly and really caring and sincere to the residents and family members too. Nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere in Twelve Trees is so happy, homely and relaxing, staff are always interacting with the residents and making sure they are okay and they encourage residents to join in activities to their ability and helping them when needed. For me as a relative I can sleep at night content that Mum appears so happy, well cared for and Safe. I'm always given updates about my mum's health etc. Lastly the food is superb, good choice, cakes, buns homemade are lush.
A fantastic care home, well organised and run. The care staff are consistently excellent and treat residents with kindness and respect. Staffing levels are good and turnover of staff is unusual which is great for continuity of care. The medical care provided by the local GP practice is also excellent with weekly visits from a dedicated GP. We are very grateful for the care provided.
Mum moved into Twelve Trees in April 2021 and lived there until she died recently at 95. It very quickly became home to her and the staff and other residents her second family. Mum was encouraged to join in varied activities which she enjoyed. Even when mum was less able to join in she was still included in whatever capacity was suitable. She particularly loved the singers and in the last weeks, her face would still light up at a familiar tune. The building and facilities at Twelve Trees are beautiful but what makes it special are the staff. From support staff and care staff to the office team/management. All warm, caring people who do an amazing job. Mum was always treated with kindness and respect. The staff know all the residents well which enables them to offer suitable care for each individual. Thank you to all at Twelve Trees for providing such a lovely environment for mum to spend her last few years. We were able to carry on making special memories with mum during her time there.
Twelve Trees looked after my dad for the last year of his life. The care was excellent with the staff being very patient with my dad and his ways. They were kind and considerate, taking time to help him when he struggled. The management team always oversaw his well-being and when needed had long heart-to-heart conversations with Dad, to help calm his anxieties. The accommodation was lovely and kept clean and tidy throughout, with a lightness to the whole atmosphere in the building. My dad liked to eat in his room, and this was not a problem, with food being brought to him to have on his table. The provision of food and drinks was excellent, with a choice always being offered. Also, my dad being an early-to-bed /early riser was left a snack in case he needed something at 5am. The staff were also very supportive of me and my siblings, it did feel like we were all being cared for. I highly recommend Twelve Trees as a Care Home. I felt at its centre is just one big heart.
My father-in-law went into Twelve Trees Care Home last September - his choice, but quite an adjustment for him. The management and staff are exemplary and we cannot praise them enough. My father-in-law was quite a character and demanding at times and the staff were so understanding and managed this so tactfully. A few members of staff built up a special rapport with him - they know who they are! We thank them so much for their kindness. We could wholeheartedly recommend Twelve Trees to anyone looking for a care home. The staff are welcoming, well trained, kind and compassionate. The home is spotless thanks to the domestic staff, the food is excellent and the care is wonderful and genuine.
Twelve Trees is an exemplary care home. My dad went into Twelve Trees in September 2022 and was admitted to hospital in August where he passed away. From day 1 the staff were all amazing. Our dad is quite strong-willed and likes things in a certain way and the staff all appreciated that and were so kind to him. The staff were also very 'holistic' checking if we, as a family, were okay on some of Dad's 'bad days'. It was just the right approach. Every member of staff from domestics, carers, seniors and the management was amazing and fabulous with my dad. He wasn't a good mixer socially (although he was up until a few years ago) but they never stopped asking him to attend the social events. It appeared there were lots of activities and entertainers and lots of the other residents truly loved it all. As a family, we don't want to mention the carers Dad had a special relationship with but you know who you are, and thank you from us all. The banter was great. We would recommend Twelve Trees to anyone.
Twelve Trees looked after my mum for the last eight months of her life. The staff are incredible, genuine and wonderful people, I couldn't have wished for a better place for my mum to be. We were always made to feel so welcome in this lovely, clean and happy home. Initially, we were concerned that Mum wouldn't settle being in a new environment but she couldn't have been happier here. The home has so many activities to keep everyone happy and we certainly enjoyed lots of them too. Mum's room was lovely, always spotless and we were able to make it perfect with her own things. Above everything else, the staff are amazing, they genuinely cared and had a real affection towards Mum and the other residents there. I would have no hesitation in recommending Twelve Trees to anyone considering the need to have their loved one cared for in a home.
Twelve Trees cared for our mother for the last eight months of her life. They looked after her beautifully, she felt safe and secure, had a lovely room and enjoyed the garden when she was able to. As things got harder for her physically they did everything they could to make her comfortable. They helped us all when we needed them most, thank you. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Twelve Trees to anyone, their level of care is superb.
Twelve Trees is simply the best. All the staff genuinely care about the residents. As we were told when we selected this home for our Mum, it's her home, and they want her to feel comfortable there. Mum used to get up and breakfast late; she still can if she wishes. The concept of missing breakfast by being too late is unknown. There is a choice of food at every meal and it's all beautifully home-cooked. There are all sorts of entertainments for the residents, even during lockdown when the staff have had to be more inventive on how to keep the residents stimulated. They have done everything possible to ensure that everyone has access to their relatives, either in a covid safe temporary room in the garden or via video call. All this without losing their positive outlook and sunny personalities. It really is a home from home, and we're so happy that Mum is in such a lovely, caring environment where her every individual need is catered for. I can't recommend this care home highly enough.
Staff very kind and helpful to both my husband and our family during his respite care, and when my husband went into care permanently, they couldn't have been more helpful. In spite of Covid restrictions, special outside facilities have been provided for us to visit. I look forward to the day when restrictions are lifted, and we can visit 'properly'.
Mum was admitted to Twelve Trees last year. Well, that's not entirely true, as Mum was 'welcomed and invited' into Twelve Trees, and that's where we knew we had made an amazing choice in care for Mum. Mum, suffering from Alzheimer's, despite her protestations that she wasn't ready to move to a care home and that her rightful place was back at her own home was given all the care and attention needed during those early months. What impressed me so much during the early months was the ability of Twelve Trees staff to recognise the individual needs of Mum and the other residents. Mum certainly presented challenges, but the staff were so accommodating on spending 1-2-1 time with Mum and recognising some of her early difficulties in coming to terms with the transition she was going through. A year on, and Twelve Trees is Mum's home, Mum had and still has such a love for life, and has the opportunity to go on trips to various places of interest that make her sparkle. Thank you, Twelve Trees.
My mother has been in care at Twelve Trees for just over one year and is happy there, despite her initial reluctance to go into care. The home is in a nice, leafy location with small but pleasant grounds. The standard of decor is good as is the food. Plenty of activities are arranged by the staff. As usual, it is the impact of the staff that is the most important factor, and I have nothing but praise for all the staff with whom I’ve had dealings. As you would expect, they are very caring and patient and always helpful. Arrangements during COVID have been robust, but with limited access to residents permitted within particular boundaries.
The care and dedication of all staff that work here are outstanding. I rest assured that the needs of our father and others are very well looked after. The food is all home-cooked and beautifully presented, the hygiene and cleanliness is always a priority for the building and residents, and the love and compassion that is shown to them, especially during these difficult is wonderful. The staff work to keep all the residents as active and happy as they can be.
My mother's Alzheimer's was very difficult for her as she was always an anxious person, but the staff at Twelve Trees are so kind and understanding that she settled in fairly quickly and has been very happy there for six years. I have been delighted with the calm common sense shown by all the staff; the atmosphere is always cheery, and I have never had a moment's concern. My mother is actually happier now, she enjoys the companionship and tells me she's very pleased she lives there, even though she never imagined that she would be happy in a care home. I would recommend Twelve Trees without hesitation. I have been especially pleased by their sensible management of the Covid19 situation.
