My 62-year-old sister with dementia was discharged into South Park after a prolonged stay in hospital. Having lived at home all her life, the family were very anxious in the belief that nobody could care for and love her as we do. How wrong we were! From the moment she became a 'resident', she
actually became another family member. The manager and all the staff have done everything possible to help her adapt to her new surroundings. Physically and emotionally, her needs are met with devoted, loving care and attention. From a doctor in the hospital more or less writing her off, she has positively thrived. She is being stimulated and loved, and everything is done to promote a healthy, happy individual. The environment is one of empathy, loving care and community. The staff seem to be naturally gifted with caring genes. Food is delicious, and even though my sister's is pureed, it is of great quality. Cleanliness is second to none. Simply fantastic. Thank you so much.
