My Mum has just completed a three week post-op respite stay at Magnolia House and the care she has received has been outstanding in every way. This is the second time a member of our family has been cared for by the wonderful team here and after many years since we last visited it was wonderful to
see their exemplary standards of care are just the same, if not better. From the moment Mum arrived she was treated with kindness, compassion, and respect from every member of the team without exception, as were we. The home is spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming with a true family feel and as a result Mum settled very quickly. Delicious food, engaging activities, peaceful strolls around the beautiful garden and a pamper in the hair salon were just some of the things she enjoyed during her stay. After a 10/10 stay Mum is on her way to a full recovery and this is thanks to everyone at Magnolia House. She will miss you all. Thank you so much.

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at Magnolia House. It's like a home from home but better because everything is done for you. No washing, no cleaning and tasty food served every day, plus the carers really do care! After looking at many homes in the Hull area, Magnolia House instantly had the
right feel. When you visit, it is always a hive of activity with residents always involved in various projects. Anything from crafting, to baking to live entertainment; for those who prefer a tranquil moment, there are quiet spaces to enjoy a cuppa. Their rooms are clean, comfortable and smell fresh, and you can bring pieces from home to help the space feel familiar. It really does provide my folks with the care they need. I would recommend Magnolia House to anyone making tough decisions for their loved ones.

Dad lived in Magnolia house nearly two years until he passed away.Thank you to each and everyone of the staff at Magnolia house who were involved in every part of dads care. Magnolia house was always clean and welcoming. Staff always cheerful and helpful and Magnolia has a happy homely atmosphere.
Dad was always respected, involved and treated as an individual. He was informed of the weekly/daily/outings and activities. The activities are very varied and fun and many different choices for residents to enjoy. When dad became more frail the Senior carers were thorough to ensure dad was pain free and comfortable liaising with the GP and the teams involved in his care. Our mother was also a resident for 10 years after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's. The staff showed great understanding of this disease and gave kind patience and compassionate care.

My mum spent almost 2 years at Magnolia House until her passing this month.
The staff are so friendly and helpful towards the residents and visitors, nothing is too much trouble. We visited all times of day and night and the care and professionalism never changed.
The building is always clean
and tidy, and the grounds are fabulous in the Summertime.
There's always something going on and the activities cater for all needs. We especially liked the Summer Fayre. My mum loved the visits from Lady the therapy dog.
I would not hesitate recommending this care home to anyone.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of my sister until her passing, she had all the care a resident would need from every staff member. I used to visit at different times of the day and on each visit the staff showed empathy and were always smiling, my
sister was always clean and provided with everything she needed. I would recommend Magnolia House to anyone who requires total care.

My mother came to Magnolia House for respite in 2021 after being in hospital having had a fall at home. She had just recently had a lovely 100th birthday. She was well looked after there, and I visited her weekly. She was gradually starting to loose her memory and then was moved to the Dementia
side. At all times that she was at Magnolia House - until she passed away at the age of 104 she was well looked after by the very caring staff. I know the staff said she was a lovely lady. I noticed on my visits there that all the residents and my mother were being well looked after.

My brother has only been in a short while, but the staff are all friendly, always with a smile, he settled down quite quickly, and the home is always welcoming, and no odour.

My husband received excellent care during his stay at Magnolia House. The staff were always helpful and compassionate despite some challenging behaviours and always friendly and informative to family members. When my husband's care became palliativ,e I knew that he needed to spend that time at
Magnolia House, where he would be treated as a family member to the end of his life.

My mother is extremely well looked after when she goes in Magnolia House for respite, it is usually two/three times a year. I am grateful that I can get here in, as I feel I wouldn't be happy for her to go anywhere else. All the carers and staff are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble, and they
make sure her needs are meet. Park Lane Healthcare should be proud of them.
I also took Mum to the tropical tiki party on Saturday and can I say the effort put into the afternoon by all was fantastic, great day for residents, caters, family and friends.

My aunt went into Magnolia House for 2 weeks respite care. Her room was immaculately clean, comfortable and well equipped. The staff were friendly, approachable and caring, and more importantly, there was always someone around to answer questions. If my aunt needs further care, I will not hesitate
to go back to them.

My grandma moved from another home which was vile and always crying terrible with their staff but on arrival to Magnolia House my gran was truly happy with the care she received and love the staff they was great with her they went above and beyond for both of us, the manager is amazing 5* from us.
The grounds are fab my grand loved them. I couldn't fault Magnolia House at all everything is catered for the residents and family. 5* Thank you.

I have 2 relatives being cared for at Magnolia House. Staff and managers are warm and friendly. They have been professional, supportive and pragmatic in challenging situations. Home environments are clean and well maintained with a beautiful garden. There are a huge number of activities on offer and
many trips out and about. The residents are friendly and always say how much they enjoy living at Magnolia House.

My mum, (in-law), passed away after spending only a few weeks in Magnolia House. I cannot praise the staff
highly enough.
She was given the best care available, nothing was ever too much trouble. We visited every day and were kept very well informed every day. No searching for a staff member,
they found us.
They treated her with kindness, respect and dignity throughout her stay, encouraging her when possible.
All the staff are always happy, polite and very helpful , an excellent team.

It's actually hard to put a date on this review as over the past years my mum has lived in Magnolia House she has been well cared for by very conscientious considerate staff. I found it difficult and still do that she had to move into the dementia ward agreed totally with the decision but feel
personally that she is drifting further away from reality. All the staff from the cleaners to the manager work extremely hard to provide a really good service to the residents including my mum. Just want to say thank you to them all

The care provided at the home is excellent. All the staff are very attentive and treat the residents as though they are their own family. There are plenty of activities for the residents to take part in. It is also lovely to see the outside space looking vibrant with the plants and flowers.

My mum arrived dirty and totally unhappy from Hull Royal. Within a few minutes she had been showered and offered something to eat and drink.
My husband, and I cannot thank the staff enough for all the kindness and patience that has been shown to her. We have all been made to feel welcome into a
friendly and homely environment.
I cannot recommend Magnolia House highly enough.

All of the Team at Magnolia House are welcoming, attentive and cheerful, to both me as visitor, and my Uncle as a resident. The rooms and the communal areas are fantastic, with a variety of spaces to meet everyone's needs. The gardens are glorious and the Activities Team do a brilliant job of
organising events and excursions. The improvement in my Uncle's demeanour and wellbeing since he moved to Magnolia House is so noticeable, which makes us very happy. They review and accommodate his various needs brilliantly and keep family informed every step of the way, something with never happened at his previous care home. .

Fantastic care and compassion shown at all times bu all staff. They have gone above and beyond since day one of Grandma going into the home. The activities are fabulous and are always keen to have family or friends involved if able. Grandma has been clean , tidy and very presentable since going into
their care and this was something that needed addressing prior to going into care. I feel fully informed of grandmas care and included/ involved in her care plan too. Thankyou for all you do and are doing for Grandma . As a family we feel absolutely assured she is received THE BEST care. Huge Thankyou to all the staff again . No thankyou will ever be enough for Grandmas safety along with the fantastic care she recieves

All seems very homely, clean, staff are attentive, and my relative has been made to feel at home. Regular trips available as well as hairdressers etc. all very good. I am told the food is of good quality and the garden area is beautiful.

The staff were excellent with my mothers care. Very attentive, caring and kind. Appropriate food and cleanliness was excellent. Her personal hygiene was excellent too. Her hair was attended to and a chiropodist when needed. She was comfortable and settled. She showed no sign of agitation or
distress which was proof of the good care she was given.
