View Full Details of CranleaBefore coming to Cranlea Mam was previously at another care home. It was our first experience with the care system but it soon became apparent that the care she was receiving was in no way good enough and we moved her. Now at Cranlea the improvement has been 100%. We have all been welcomed as a family and feel involved with the day to day goings on. The staff are caring & friendly and, very quickly knew our names. Food has improved vastly - everything great!
I cannot recommend this place enough. The change in my mum is unbelievable; she is thriving here. The staff are caring, friendly and really do care. My mum coming here was the best thing that has happened. I wish my mum came here years ago! Big thank you to all staff & management.
Since my grandma has joined she has been so happy and it's so nice to see her so settled. The setting is absolutely lovely and homely the staff are all so happy and helpful. It's such a relief to know my grandma is happy and in safe hands.
Staff always very pleasant & helpful, give great service, and always working hard. Lots going on for residents to do. Would recommend this care home to others.
The care provided for my mother couldn't be bettered. Attentive and caring staff are there for her, giving me peace of mind that she is okay and is being looked after. Meals are good and provided regularly.
Found this to be an excellent care home. The home was always clean, so were all the residents and there was never a smell. The staff were exceptional, they were so friendly and always seemed happy in what must be a hard job. They always talk to the residents and visitors and always said if anything they can help with to let them know. My aunt was never happy and said the food was very good. The entertainment and activities were great. I would have no hesitation in recommending Cranlea to others.
Lovely place. Friendly approachable staff. My aunt has lived at Cranlea for around 3 years and we are so happy with how she is cared for. She especially enjoyed a visit from a New Castle Football Player in the 90's, lots going on within the care home for people to join in with.
Cranlea is very welcoming, I have visited mam today and feel at home. The staff always chat to me and are available for any questions about my mam. Mam has settled well and she has a lovely room. We have brought in all her furniture and it is lovely, just like home.
I am not usually one for writing reviews but I think Cranlea deserves a one. Watching my mother in law this week enjoying an activity where many of the staff were involved was so good. She told us how happy she feels at Cranlea and that is what matters to us. Cranlea has managed to make my wife feel more relaxed than she has for years. Knowing her mam is cared for so well and hearing her mam tell us how she feels is so reassuring to her. The staff seem to know her very well and are always nice. They also make us feel welcome when we visit. A very nice care home which deserves a positive mention.
My grandmother has recently joined the home it is a lovely place staff are great very friendly and helpful couldn't think of a better place for my grandmother to be I'm really happy knowing she is a lovely pleasant place like Cranlea makes me sleep easier at night knowing how well she's being cared for and brilliantly looked after!
We are so happy with Cranlea. It's a lovely care home, the staff have been supportive and have helped make my grandma feel comfortable and at home from the day she moved in. I would definitely recommend.
From the first day my aunty arrived at Cranlea, everything has been above and beyond our expectations. The staff have made the transition from home so much easier. From management to carers, handiman and kitchen staff, everyone has been friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Cranlea to anyone in our situation.
There is not enough words allowed in this review to mention all of the positive things about Cranlea. The staff are at the heart of what makes Cranlea so special. Leaving your loved one in the care of others is one of the hardest decisions to make. We waited for a place to become available as we had been recommended it from three families we knew who had relatives living there. We absolutely made the right choice. The culture of the home and focus on outstanding patient care is apparent each and every day. Not just from the carers on the shop floor who are all amazing but management, admin, domestic and catering and laundry staff too. The staff all treat grandad like he is one of their own. They support him and us and keep us up to date with everything. Grandad has lived there for a year now and he is thankfully so settled even with his dementia and that's all down to the knowledge and experience that the staff have. I could not recommend this home any more, it is outstanding.
During her 14 months at Cranlea, Mam was clearly valued by the staff in the home. They got to know her as an individual and went above and beyond to try to make her time there as happy as possible. The staff are professional and caring, in particular, the team leaders, who supported us as relatives in addition to caring for Mam. Mam enjoyed joining in with the excellent range of activities available for the residents and particularly enjoyed the outings and visiting entertainers. The staff team try to ensure that Cranles is a happy home-from-home.
My Mother-in-law stopped at Cranlea for 2 weeks of respite. The care was of a high standard, my Mother-in-law was very happy, and the staff made her feel very comfortable. She also enjoyed the food. I would highly recommend this care home.
I am so happy with my mum's care. I can settle knowing she is safe. Everyone at the care home is brilliant, they can't do enough for the residents and visitors.
It was heartbreaking when we were no longer able to provide Dad with the care and support that he needed at home and had to find a new place for him to live. It is especially difficult when your loved one has dementia and you fear that those meeting him for the first time may not be able to see the kind, funny, warm gentleman beneath the lost and confused outer shell. Well, we need not have worried as the staff at Cranlea took Dad into their care and provided him with a safe, happy and welcoming home. In the final days of his life, the generosity, kindness and compassion of the staff to my Dad and our family was truly appreciated. The genuine care and affection for my Dad was evident and a great comfort to us all. The funny stories the staff shared about my Dad's antics over his time in Cranlea made us smile and we knew that they were able to see the funny, cheeky side of him that we all knew and loved. The care, compassion and kindness of the whole team was exceptional. Thank you.
My mam is very happy in this care home. The staff are excellent, nothing is too much to ask. We are so lucky to have found such a special place for our mother.
Staff fab. Care home clean and tidy. Brilliant all round.
I have found the staff very friendly and helpful and treat residents with empathy and friendliness. My father has a lovely room and is very happy and feels safe in the home.
