I want to end up in a care home just like this one, the staff are excellent, friendly caring and go above and beyond every single day couldn't say a negative thing about any of them. My father in law is extremely happy there.

Wonderful care home. Our Mam has settled in and made friends straight away and feels safe and happy and is enjoying her food again.Two weeks respite has now turned into full time care on her insistence. Thanks to all the staff and carers in Eothan House in Gosforth .

I placed my auntie into the care of eothen earlier in the year because she was no longer managing at home on her own, since she has arrived into eothen in gosforth she has never been as happy the staff are amazing she absolutely loves it I wish I had done it sooner rather than her struggling at home for the last few years,she is happy well looked after and like I say I cannot praise all of the staff and management enough for the care they are giving her

What a lovely place! I cannot speak too highly of all of the staff, who all find time to say hello, are totally focussed on the residents, and have the highest standards of care. All of the people there are very content, there is plenty of choice of things to do. The gardens are particularly beautiful and very well maintained.

My mother moved into Gosforth Eothen permanently a few weeks ago and is settling in well. She'd previously been in for a respite visit last year and had enjoyed it. The home itself is very warm and comfortable with beautiful gardens. The food is lovely, always fresh and healthy with good choices available. There are daily activities for the residents arranged by a lovely lady called Chris. She clearly loves her job and it shows. All of the staff are extremely caring, kind and patient. They really take the time to listen and do whatever they can to help and support the residents, as well as the families. We are confident that my mother is being well cared and the staff have definitely helped us feel happier about this transition.

The Eothen staff at Gosforth provide top class professional service and as I live over 5 hours away I rely on them for communication with me on all matters related to my mother who is a resident, they do this and communicate excellently and efficiently. This gives me peace of mind and the knowledge that Mum is in the best place she can be, big thank you to All the staff

What a lovely home. The managers and admin team have been amazingly understanding and super efficient in what has been a difficult time for both mum and ourselves. Mum's move was fast and fuss free. The home itself is lovely and the care team have, without exception, been kind, empathetic and caring; helping mum to move into her new home with understanding and patience. The home really feels like a big family. Mum is already settling in and is beginning to find her way around with the help of both staff and residents. We have been delighted with everything so far and would like to express our heartfelt thanks to this lovely team.

My Dad has been in this care home for the last 6 weeks and has settled in so well. He has made new friends and thoroughly enjoys all the activities on offer . All the staff do an amazing Job nothing is to much trouble and always delivered with a smile he's enjoying life again and we have peace of mind he is in safe hands.

Dad has had 2 stays of 1 week duration for respite care at Eothen and I was so impressed with the care. Louise, the manager is approachable and professional and her team provide really personalised care. On dad's first day there the staff arranged for mam & dad to have lunch together in the family lounge / dining room, which they both appreciated so much. The activities coordinator is fantastic, she really encourages everyone to take part, with a range of activities. The food is home cooked, of really good quality, with lovely home made bite size treats offered mid morning & afternoon. The rooms are spacious and the home is clean & comfortable, with beautiful grounds, full of colour. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere in Eothen, which provides great comfort to the residents and their relatives.

Dad has settled really well into Eothen at Gosforth and we are delighted with our choice of care home. We had anticipated more difficulties with the transition from being at home to him being looked after full-time. However, much to our surprise, after less than 2 weeks trial, he told us that he wanted to stay. He enjoys having his meals cooked for him, he's made new friends, and he joins in with many of the activities. His life seems so much more interesting than sitting at home on his own and fretting about his meals. He does still get confused and repetitive at times but the staff are so caring and patient. And the managers are visible and available if we have any concerns. I can't recommend highly enough! As one resident said to me, there may be homes that are fancier and more modern but you won't beat Eothen for the friendly atmosphere and quality of care

My dad is 94 years old and he's been living alone in his home since my mum died in 2011. It became more clear he needed extra care. We knew it was important to find the correct home that suited his varying/increasing needs. In Eothen Homes we have done just that. We can't believe how blessed we all are as dad seems to have settled in so well. He seems to have a new lease of life. Thank you Eothen.

Eothen Care Homes Gosforth is a very happy family home, as a resident we are cared for be excellent carers they are more like family and friends and are always there to help and comfort you when necessary, we can all have fun together and laugh. I would also like to mention we have a excellent manager and also her team who are also excellent and will help with anything. I have visited many family and friends in various homes in the region, Eothen above all really stands out. I came originally for respite and stayed on, I have now been here for 2 and half years and I am very happy. I can certainly recommend Eothen-Gosforth. The rooms are well looked after by the excellent domestics.

My mother has been a resident for 5 months now. During this time she has improved physically and cognitively. The level of care she has received is very good. All the staff are caring and kind. The activities help to motivate and stimulate. There is a lovely family atmosphere in all aspects.

Since moving into Eothen Gosforth, my Father has thrived. The care he receives is consistently high and all the staff are friendly and understanding. He has enjoyed making new friends with other residents and team members. The gardens are always in bloom and can be enjoyed on warmer days by the residents on the patio areas. Communications from the team regarding my Father's health and any other requirements have always been clear and timely.

Wonderful caring patient staff who go up and beyond for the residents, always smiling and welcoming even when I visit after 9.00pm. The home is clean and warm the food is excellent with the residents needs being cared for, I can not fault what they do.

Lovely staff. Good standard of care provided and we can see the benefit for my dad from being there. There are always a good range of activities available for the residents to take part in and the food is good.

The staff at Eothen Homes, Gosforth have provided excellent care for my father for more than a year now. They take the time to listen to him so that they are best able to meet his needs. Both my father and I feel that the staff show genuine care and compassion.

My mother became resident at Christmas 2024 and sine then my sister, my wife and I have been most impressed by the care and attention at Eothen in Gosforth. The staff are all kind, caring and always ready and willing to help and look after my mum. In addition we have been surprised and happy to see my mum enjoying joining in with daily activities and communal mealtimes because of the encouragement from the team. We have also noted with appreciation that staff anticipate and prevent difficulties. Thank you, we feel very comfortable with her situation.

It was a huge step to go from living independently to residential care, but following a fall, a stay in hospital and a decline in my Aunt's health it was clearly time to review her care arrangements. I need not have worried as Eothen have been there to support us every step of the way. As a consequence my Aunty settled so quickly, she and I have felt very welcomed into the Eothen family. To start with the Eothen building and grounds are immaculate, but it's the staff that really make this place so special, they treat their beloved residents with dignity, respect, kindness, compassion and above everything love. I could not be happier with the care given and look forward to lots more special times with my Aunty at Eothen. The staff here should be very proud of the difference they make to the lives of their residents and the peace of mind they give to their families.
