View Full Details of Ashfield CourtWhen visiting my mother in law she's happy, always telling us about the food (she enjoys it), loves having a bath. Staff are friendly, always popping in for a chat.
Ashfield Court do their absolute best to meet the variable needs of my mum. She is treated as an individual person, a person in her own right! The overall care of my mum and my dad (who visits every day) is wonderful. Our family is kept up to date with any changes in behaviour or mds. We are very happy and grateful for the care our Mum receives.
Mam has been a resident at Ashfield for almost fourteen years now. It's the most devastating time for anyone to hear your mam has Alzheimer's disease, so finding the right care is so important being able to leave mam in a safe and caring environment. When we first arrived at Ashfield we were made at ease right away, everyone was so helpful and kind and still are to this day. Always a smile and chatty when you arrive. Any worries or problems you may have are resolved straight away, which is always reassuring. Mam always took part in activities - baking, dancing, bingo etc, but can no longer participate as her Alzheimer's worsened, now she just loves her treats and lots of cuddles knowing when we leave mam she's loved and cared for by everyone. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who work there.
On the whole, our experience of Ashfield Court is a pleasant one. The management and staff are always helpful and will endeavour to help us with any queries we have. When we leave the premises, we feel reassured that my mother is being cared for in a caring and pleasant atmosphere.
Mother has been well looked after since her arrival. The staff are very friendly. Approachable and attentive to her needs. They are quick and attentive to her needs. They are quick to point out any problems and let me know upon my visit. I am very happy where she is and she was settled very well. Lots of people complain about the lack of activities but getting residents of the ground floor to join in is very difficult.
I am a resident at Ashfield Court Care Home and find everything excellent, that's staff, care, and food, nothing seems any bother. I have not marked activities as I don't take part and am quite happy in my own company.
After her first full month in the home, my mother has found the staff very friendly and helpful. She is gradually learning that they will try to accommodate any wants and routines, provided she asks or tells them what is required! The home is clean and tidy and management is on the ball and responsive to any questions/problems. Have only had a small issue with her commode and sensor mat not being put out properly on several nights and the buzzer not being properly connected which is a bit of a worry. She likes the home-cooked food too! There has been an elastic band under the bed for several days.
My brother-in-law settled easily and spoke highly of the care he was given. His room was always kept clean as were the public spaces. We were never around at meal time though we did have an excellent meal in the bar on Christmas day. The staff always brought us up to date with his progress as we arrived and always had a smile for us. The residents didn't seem up to the activities much preferring to be sit in the lounge.
My mum has been looked after at Ashfield Court for the last year and I can't speak highly enough of the entire staff there. From the time of admission, they treated Mum with dignity and compassion and I was impressed with how quickly they became attuned to my mum's needs, her little ways and idiosyncrasies and personality traits. Staff were also quick to act if Mum was unwell and needed medical assistance. I would not hesitate to recommend Ashfield Court to anyone.
I can't give all the staff at Ashfield Court enough praise, they cared for my mam for 12 months until her passing. In that time, I could sleep at night knowing she was in good hands, nothing was too much trouble and my mam 'loved' all the carers. Thank you for making my mam's final days happy and comfortable.
Excellent care staff, loving and caring. Spotless care home. Food home-cooked, no frozen meals. Lovely outdoor area. Plenty of activities to occupy the residents. A new bar and room for families to spend private time together - opening soon.
My mam was in Ashfield Court as a respite resident for four months. The staff and management couldn't do enough for her. She was well looked after and cared for. Staff were friendly and helpful. If care is ever needed in the future I would certainly place her there again.
My mother has been here less than 3 weeks but we have been allowed to bring lots from her home to ensure she has familiar belongings. The care and effort put into her rehabilitation has been superb, giving her more freedom. Staff are always friendly towards any visitors and encourage my mother to engage with others and join in any activities as much as possible which has helped her to settle more easily.
From my husband on his first day (short-term care), he was welcomed by all staff. Manager was waiting to show us around and taken to his room. His vegan diet was talked about with the kitchen staff (excellent). Staff are all working on his care plan for returning home in the future. The manager is approachable if we have questions as id all staff. (Very well done).
My mother has been a resident for almost 18 months now. I would not hesitate to recommend Ashfield to anyone! It is managed and run excellently. The staff are amazing and go above and beyond. Nothing is a problem. I have complete confidence in their care! Mam has settled really well after a bit of a sharky period due to her illness and medications. The staff are incredible with Mam and deserve to be recognised for the job,
I can't say enough words to express how happy I am with my mother's care at Ashfield Court. The staff have made my mother feel welcome by arranging her room the way she wants it and listening to her needs and concerns. The environment is stimulating and there is a warm atmosphere. Thank you to everyone at Ashfield Court!
Friendly staff, very helpful and understanding. Nice, comfortable, airy bedroom with room to move around easily. Good size common room and dining room leading to a nice garden.
My mother has been a resident for some 3 years and during all that time I have had no causes for complaint. The home has a cosy and homely feel and the rooms are of a good size. Residents are kept well entertained but are no way forced to participate. The staff all seem to be well trained and are attentive to residents needs. Most importantly they treat residents with dignity. The home is well run and you are always kept well informed of your relative's well-being.
My wife having been a resident at two places prior to Ashfield Court could not be more pleased with the care she is receiving here. Being well taken care of, looked after by caring staff and fed restaurant food. I am relieved that she is being treated like this and happy she is happy.
Mum has been at Ashfield Court for over two years. In that time I cannot fault the care and attention that has been given. The staff are excellent. I would recommend this home to anyone. Because of this attention and dedication, I have great peace of mind, knowing that my mother is being cared for, especially at this time of the virus. May it continue. Many many thanks Ashfield.
