View Full Details of Earsdon Grange Care HomeEverybody staff are concerned that they do there best for the residents in the home. Very satisfied how they look after my partner. very impressed
I come and see the resdient each friday. Staff are very good welcome My friend is happy here Nice place to stay friend very happy.
Our friend (service user) was taken to Earsdon Grange following an extended period in hospital. This was initially on a temporary basis, although we believe the arrangement is now permanent?? Our friend settled in quickly and has responded well to the surroundings, and the care received - she had previously been distressed. The friendliness of staff and the atmosphere of the home (positive) were obvious to us as visitors. Since her admittance our friend has regained her positive outlook - thanks to the care received.
Overall, our experience of Earsdon Grange is good. Most staff are pleasant and responsive when acknowledged. Some are not and make no effort to say hello and/ or goodbye. They don't chat to mum when they bring fresh water or ask her what she wants for her tea etc. The command of English is poor in some of the staff, resulting in mum not understanding them. It's ok when we're there but she must be lost when we aren't. The activities are good though mum doesn't participate much. More could be made of the coffee lounge. In the brochure, we were led to believe we could make tea etc and enjoy a cup with mum. We can't there's never cups there for coffee etc. We buy one from the local shop. That said mum seems content enough for the most part.
A lovely nursing home. Our very elderly relative has been treated with dignity, care and kindness. She sees the staff as her friends and is happy to ask for whatever she needs. The meals look good and the rooms are lovely and clean. Staff are helpful to us when we have any queries and are very caring.
I find the staff to be very caring. Food is of high standard.
Wonderful place and lovely staff. Residents well looked after.
Am very happy with the overall experience, my dad also says he likes it there. The staff, or as my dad says the young ones, are all nice and they keep him busy with jobs as he says but I know it's the activities which are great. The activity organisers are a Godsend and the staff are all nice and easy to talk to about any concerns and I know my dad is safe and happy here which helps me relax knowing that.
I spoke to a senior in the office and looked to book the family/quiet room to celebrate my mums 90th birthday on 11th May 2024. This person confirmed it was fine and wrote it in the diary. On the day I called to check what time I could go in to put a few banners up and a balloon. I was advised no booking was showing. We are a large family and thought this would be better than taking my mum out somewhere due to the anxiety she was experiencing. Worse that people are denying this booking was made. Totally unacceptable.
Caring staff, excellent activities, plenty of tea/coffee throughout the day.Good food. Large bedroom with garden view.
Overall I have been very impressed with the care and love my mum has received. This has been a difficult time putting her into care but the staff have been outstanding.
Apart from snacks have never seen a cooked meal or aware if dietary needs met. Toilet area always smelling of urine, toilet bowl unclean, dirty room on occasions. Floor dusty behind chair, bed. Need extra chair in room for visitors, unhygienic sitting on bed. Bed valance, bottom sheet trails on floor, cause of accident. Staff are helpful and acknowledge husbands disabilities initially when told but have to be reminded often. All staff approachable and treat husband with dignity but sometimes difficult to find a senior for information.
Overall we are satisfied with the care our relative receives. However there are one or two points which concern us. Notably loss of spectacles which had already been replaced. Also loss of dentures and no facilities for replacements. There was a certain lack of interest!
Staff are always helpful and take time and trouble with mum. She is very happy in the home and especially enjoys trips out.
My mum has been a resident at this care home for just a few weeks. She started on respite care and as she has settled well we have extended this to longer term. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms and gardens are clean and spacious. Mum likes to sit in the conservatory. There are often activities happening and I hope mum joins in with them. I am grateful for the care she receives.
Since my father came to live here, we feel he is safe and well-looked after. He enjoys the good selection of food and also the singers. Staff are all friendly and welcoming. Can't fault anything about Earsdon Grange.
My mum and I were very happy with the care my dad received whilst living at Easdon Grange. Although only a resident for a short time he settled well and we were very impressed with the care and support both he and ourselves received. We were all made to feel very welcome. Any queries or concerns were quickly resolved and as my dad deteriorated we were very impressed and heartened by the end of live care. Thank you.
I find all the staff to be really thoughtful and caring towards Mam. The entertainment lady does her utmost for all the residents. Mam is well looked after and the staff genuinely care for all the residents.
Thank you to Earsdon Grange and the staff - all of them for being so kind and caring towards mum and supportive of her family. Everyone is very approachable and keen to do their best, despite the confusion and frustration covered by rules and regulations everyone faces today. Earsdeon Grange is clean and tidy with lovely cleaners on hand as required. A variety of activities is always on offer and much appreciated. A variety of activities is always on offer and much appreciated. Regarding value for money it does seem on the expensive side - hope the staff are paid properly - we have wandered about having to pay for mom's incontinence pads. Altogether many thanks for her care.
My father-in-law is content and that is most important to us together with the knowledge he is in a safe and well-run home.
