My Mum has been in Holmlea now for 7 years and has always been treated with dignity and love and care. As a family, we have always been treated with courtesy and respect and nothing has ever been a bother to the staff. Having been at Holmlea for this length of time the staff know Mums ways and idiosyncrasies and from this, they can always tell what sort of day Mum is having, so that they can determine how she must be treated. We very much appreciate the hard work the staff do at Holmlea and the care and love they give to residents. Thank You

My Mam has been a resident at Holmlea for four years now and me living 400 miles away can't really get up to see mam as much I wanted to and no other family connections, Sami and her team do a fantastic job looking after Mam and keep the communication with me up to date . I can't thank them enough they have been brilliant with my telephone calls to Mam she is always saying the food and the staff are brilliant which is very reassuring to me and I know Mam is set in her ways but the staff have been fantastic dealing with Mam . The Home is always really clean and has a really good feel to it and I can't thank Sami enough for doing Mam's hair and making Mam look beautiful when I'm up and taking Mam out for afternoon tea. Thank you to all who work at Holmlea care home

My father has been looked after with great kindness and consideration for four years at Holmlea, (and my mother too before her death). He is very restricted by frailty, but the staff always make time to have a cheery word or to talk when passing his room. The food is home cooked and tasty, and everywhere is always spotlessly clean. Many of the staff have been there a long time, and their continuity with the residents must help create a more homely atmosphere. Communication is good when anything out of the ordinary happens.

It is really hard to put into words how grateful I am for all the care and kindness everyone showed to my aunt while she was at Holmlea. Everyone knew her so well and accepted her after contanlerors and rude behaviour, yet still did everything they could to make her time better. All the staff allowed her to be herself and made the most of the home when she accepted help graciously. Everyone kept her well fed and cared for and allowed her to retain her dignity. The staff at Holmlea are a group of very special people.

The staff at Holmlea care home were absolutely brilliant with my dad could not thank them enough . 2 years ago we found this home after looking for a friendly homely atmosphere Although my dad didn't mix with residents there , there was plenty activity's available . Food was good and staff were always offering us tea and coffees and something to eat never a problem for them . Also the care home was spotless . During end of life for dad the staff were magnificent couldn't ask for anymore absolutely recommend Holmea care home .

My Dad came to this care home after being in a couple of others before here, We wanted a homely vibe for our dad and this is exactly what we got. The staff are amazing here and as stubborn as my dad was they cared for him like he was their own. The last couple of weeks have been hard on our family as it was his end of life and I can honestly say we as a family made a bond with these lovely people. They looked after us while we stayed to the end of my dad life and the support from this home is above and beyond. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts there is no agency staff so everyone knows each and every one of the residents so if friendly caring and homely is what you're after ring Holmlea .

A truly amazing place that my dad stayed, the staff were second to none , so friendly and helpful and so caring towards him, so glad my sister found this home as the two other homes he stayed just neglected him , food was amazing for him and the staff couldn't do enough for any family member that visited , especially caring toward the end of my dads life, all I can say is I'm so thankful to you all and deserve medals for what you do, thank you so much , five stars all the way

They communicate well regarding any issues. I like the relaxed atmosphere in Homelea and the attention given to residents when they need it. The day rooms are bright and well furnished with TV programmes to watch should they want to. Communications are good and the staff are very helpful and kind. I know they have activities but have been there for only one - Hogmond - most enjoyable those who joined in.

Holmlea Care Home welcomed my Mam last year, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care she receives. We struggled to manage her needs at home, but the staff at Holmlea have been exceptional in handling her challenging behaviors with professionalism and compassion. The team at Holmlea has created a safe and comfortable environment for my Mam, which brings me immense peace of mind. Seeing her happy and well-cared-for is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the staff. I highly recommend Holmlea Care Home to anyone seeking quality care for their loved ones.

My auntie has been a resident at Holmlea for over two years. Whenever I visit with my family, we always have a warm welcome from the wonderful team of carers. I live over 100 miles away and so can't visit every week. I take comfort in the knowledge of the consistent high standard of care that I witness when I am able to visit. Thank you Holmlea.

I have just spent the most wonderful morning at Holmlea Care Home. Today there was a sing-along it was a real party atmosphere! It was made all the more special by the fantastic staff who joined in, singing and dancing with the residents. It was lovely to see all of them enjoying themselves. Thank you Holmlea, you are amazing.

My aunt has been a resident at the home for around eight weeks The staff cares about the welfare of the residents. My aunt, as a fiercely independent lady who has lived on her own for over forty years has been, at times, both grumpy and difficult. At all times staff has treated her with patience, good humour, politeness, and professionalism. Everyone is also very welcoming to visitors making them feel part of the family member's new life. Massive thank you to all.

My husband moved into Holmlea Care Home on 04/09/23. He was well-supported in adjusting to leaving home. Some weeks later the need for hospital emergency admission. The team at Holmlea were very caring and supportive of my husband and I and our daughters. While we waited for the ambulance we were made comfortable and offered drinks. It was my birthday (83) I'd brought a cake to share. The staff couldn't have done enough to help us.

My mum has received the best care possible from everyone at Holmlea, they are like family to us now. Thank you for treating my mum with such care and dignity. If my mum was able, she would thank you from the bottom of her heart.

My Aunt was in Holmlea Care Home from Aril 2018 to April 2023 and received care of the highest standard. All staff were compassionate, patient and excellent at dealing with my Aunt under all circumstances. As her dementia progressed, the high standard of care and attention, both personal and medical, never faltered and all her needs were gently and sensitively catered for. She was happy and content. We were always kept informed of her status and the management were very approachable and easy to deal with. Myself and husband could not have wished for better and would thoroughly recommend Holmlea without hesitation to any prospective resident.

My brother became a resident at Holmlea Care Home in the summer of 2021. Since his arrival, he has been treated with dignity and respect by both care staff and the management. He suffers from vascular dementia and as his condition deteriorates every effort is made to help him feel safe and secure in his environment. As a frequent visitor, I find it reassuring to note the positive relationships which have been fostered between my brother and his carers. There is close liaison between management and a local General Practice and this has resulted in my brother's physical and mental health being closely monitored - an important aspect of his care. He is encouraged to take part in organised activities but allowed to withdraw if he wishes. To quote my brother - they look after me well here.

One of the things that really impressed me was that during the recent very cold weather was that the owner personally spoke to all the residents to see if they were warm enough, and if not, he went out and got them a heater - not many owners would do that. This home is really family-orientated. The staff are very helpful and caring.

Holmlea, the name says how it is. My mum lived here just short of 3yrs, the day she moved until the day she sadly passed away (Oct 2020) she was made very comfortable and was very happy at Holmlea. That was down to every member of staff from domestic to manager, they are all bright and bubbly, and at a sad time, as it is 'Covid-19' I was unable to take Mum out for our Saturday morning visit to the park. The staff made up for this with Mum in the home. So a big thank you Holmlea! The directors should be very proud of their wonderful staff there.

Decor and building slightly outdated. Staff very friendly and efficient. Quality of food is excellent. Any issues that have arisen have been dealt with promptly.

All staff, from managers, carers and cleaners, give their very best help and understanding of needs, stimulate and encourage interaction. Entertainment is provided on a regular basis and I am informed of any changes in medication and behaviour and advised on my visits how to respond to my husband's needs. The home itself is clean and his room is very nice, towels changed daily, washing done daily. Cleanliness is very good and mishaps are immediately dealt with. A very comfortable and happy surrounding. He's well settled and happy.
