Our family will be forever grateful for the care and compassion shown to my granda during the last year of his life. He lived to the wonderful age of 95, and while we knew that time was precious, like most families we wished he could have gone on forever. He passed away just before Christmas
following a short illness, and he was also living with dementia. Throughout it all, the care staff were nothing short of exemplary.
The carers did far more than meet his physical needs - they treated him with genuine kindness, dignity, and respect. It was clear every single day that they truly cared about the residents as individuals, not just as patients. Knowing that my granda was safe, comforted, and shown compassion in the moments when we couldn't be by his side brought us immense peace during an incredibly painful time.
My granda could not have been in better hands, and our family will always hold deep gratitude for everything you did for him - and for us during those difficult last days.

We have found staff to be extremely caring, kind and understanding with my dad and us as a family. The standard of care is truly outstanding, and every day, consistently, we find this. Barbara, Kath, Emma, Chelsea and Noel and all staff have been so supportive of my dad. Patient and truly genuine.
Julie organising activities is another credit to the team. My dad feels well looked after and respected. It must be a hard job with long hours. We couldn't be any more grateful. I couldn't praise them enough! We are very grateful.

My husband has been in the home 1 week and so far he has been very well looked after. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is very good and plenty of cups of tea.

The staff are really friendly, nothing is a bother. The food is very tasty and plenty of it. When I first arrived from hospital I needed a hair cut - shave - shower which was done as soon as they could that day.

When my mam came into this home she was not doing anything apart from sleeping and waiting for her carers which although were good but 1/4 hour call 4 times a day left her lonely. Mam now loves where she is, participates in all activities and is really happy thanks to all the friendly staff were
nothing is too much bother. Thank you all x

My grandad moved into Elwick Grange in March 2025. He loves it and settled in very well. All staff are brilliant, and very caring and approachable. He enjoys all activities, especially singing/sing songs. The food is excellent too. He takes part in all activities and loves them all. He is never
lonely as he has lots of new friends.

My father moved into Elwick Grange in March. He has been made to feel at home and has had very good care. The activities are excellent especially singing which he enjoys.
The VE day party was really well organised. I feel that the staff enjoy their job and this reflects in the care given.

My father-in-law moved in March and has felt very welcome. He enjoys all activites especially the sing alongs which is his firm favourite. He thoroughly enjoyed the VE Day celebrations. When I visit I'm always feel that I'm welcome and not getting in the way.

The staff arranged some great activities throughout December. Christmas felt very homely for my friend, she enjoyed meeting Santa! The staff were outstanding, treating residents as family. the staff at Elwick Grange work so hard with great commitment and integrity.

Elwick Grange made sure that residents and visitors were kept up to date with anything and everything that would be going on for the lead up to Christmas. Mam and myself felt personally included and very much a big part in mam's daily life which the fantastic team have always made me feel.

Lovely staff and really helpful, mam enjoys the food. They encourage mam to be more mobile, they keep her clean and taken care of.
Her room is pleasant and kept nice and clean. I am happy that mam is happy and been so well cared for.

Absolutely brilliant service dad loves it. The staff are polite and attentive to the needs of the residents. As soon as you mention anything is always done quickly with a smile on their faces. No complaints or recommendations just keep on doing what you are doing.

My mother has been in Elwick Grange for over a year. The decision to place my mother in a care home was a very difficult one. However, Elwick Grange, the staff, quality of care and the whole environment are excellent. Well done Elwick Grange.

My mam came for respite in August this year and luckily was able to secure a permanent room. She is well care for at this home, it's warm, the staff are friendly and approachable and I feel my mam is happy here. A particular mention to the girls who entertain the residents, who do their best to
stimulate their brains. Also to two staff members in particular who she really feels comfortable with, thank you.

A very pleasant dwelling place with a lovely park opposite to watch the squirrels running up the trees.
All the staff are kind and helpful with a ready smile. The home is kept very clean and comfortable.
