View Full Details of Dalby Court Residential Care HomeAmazing and friendly staff. So welcoming and helpful. Very kind and playful with my young son when we visit. Very knowledgeable on my grandpa and what he needs and likes. Very kind and passionate towards my grandpa. Very happy with staff.
My mam is in Dalby Court for rehab, and all the staff, manageress are fabulous with my mum. The meals are lovely and she is cared for wonderfully. She really likes it here and I feel so good knowing she is cared for when I'm not here.
Since my father became a resident in Dalby Court Care Home in October 2024, he has been looked after very well by all the team at the home. As a family we are very happy with the level of care my father receives. Thank you to all the team at Dalby Court.
Since my uncle went to stay at Dalby Court he has received excellent care and support throughout. His dignity, to my knowledge, is always observed throughout his care. The staff are very professional, warm and welcoming when you meet them, management always around to listen and resolve any issues quickly. His room is bright and clean. The menu is varied and my uncle has said he enjoys his food, drinks on request throughout the day. The activities staff put a great deal of effort into activities and a weekly timetable is offered. I would recommend Dalby Court.
My experience of Dalby Court Care Home and the management team and staff is first class. The team work hard and ensure they look after the residents and their needs. They communicate very well with the family keeping us informed of my father's condition and needs. He is very happy, and feels safe at Dalby Court.
My father-in-law was initially in respite for 6 weeks from 6th June 2024. He then became a permanent resident. He is so content in Dalby and has really improved his mental health - also his physical health too - although he needs a walker to be mobile. He really likes all the staff. They are so friendly nd professional and if he wants something he only needs to ask/suggest once and it's done. From the top employees through the ranks the staff are all amazing. He really enjoys the food too - thankfully he has now gained all the weight he lost through illness in 2024 - in fact we've had to buy him bigger trousers!!!
Having decided that Mam needed 24 hour care we researched homes in the local area and Dalby Court was the only one that had availability at the time. However, on viewing the home, we came to realise that Mam would be well cared for in a safe environment. Despite suffering three falls in the first week, the staff always acted promptly and contacted me as soon as possible. Although Mam was reluctant to eat, the staff always encouraged her to do so. She was only there a short time, but our family felt supported by the staff and management and were always kept well informed.
When we realised mom needed 24 hour care, Dalby Court was the only care home with a space for her. When I went to view the home and the room I felt secure in the knowledge that she would be well looked after and safe. Although she was never happy while staying there this was due to her deteriorating condition and no fault of the staff. We wished she had been well enough to appreciate the staff. Mum was only there for a short time and we were very upset at the time however we felt very supported by the staff who helped us deal with some difficult situations.
Husband came in for a weeks respite care. He was well looked after and enjoyed his tie int he home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and I was put at ease knowing my husbands needs were tended to.
My nana was upstairs for 3 weeks for respite/rehab following a 4 week stay in hospital. She'd had such poor care in hospital coming out with multiple problems to her skin and diabetes. I was met with care and warmth every day of her stay - the leadership team liaised with the doctors and got her the help she needed and she was looking and feeling better within 2 days! She developed cellulitis whilst here and this was dealt with promptly. The facilities are great, I loved seeing her with her hair done by the hairdresser! Nana enjoyed the food. Nana was getting miserable towards the end of her stay as she was missing home but staff always made time for her and she was respected and well looked after. I can't thank the staff enough for their help getting my nana back to herself. I'd have no problem recommending this home to anyone needing this care. Keep up the great work!
I came into Respite Care for a week to give my wife a break from her caring duties. I was well looked after and all my needs a were taken care of. Staff were lovely and the meals were very good. I had everything I needed for my week stay, and have no hesitation in coming back when my wife needs a another break.
Since being here at Dalby Court I have had the best care from the staff and I get on well with most residents. The food is satisfactory, and I enjoy some of the residents, the food is satisfactory and I enjoy some of the residents. I can have a laugh and they are always there to assist you. I know I am not a well person and they have made life better for me.
Having watched the staff I can say without prejudice that the Activities Coordinator is excellent at the care she gives to the residents. She is always entertaining them. Brilliant!
As an elderly (86 year old) man charged with having sole care of an older (97 years at death in November 2024) man suffering from dementia I needed all the help I could get. This I got from Dalby Court Residential Care Home. He asked to go into this care home and I found it to be ideal. He was at all times well looked after and when my own health was poor I had no worries regarding his care. The staff went beyond their normal duties to help and I am grateful for this.
From Australia. Only in the UK for 2 weeks. Sister's room could be improved. I understand she is being moved to a new room. Would be nice to see my sister taken out for a wheelchair walk or other excursion in a bus or the like.
I live alone and required cancer treatment so I booked a respite bed for the period of treatment. It was so good the management and all the staff were so supportive and kind that my stay was like being on holiday. My daily visits to the hospital were helped by staff organising my meals and on return making sure I was comfortable and attending to all my requests. My bedroom was kept very clean also the en-suite. Well done Dalby Court. Thank you.
My Mum has now been in the home for over a year, and in that time she has been very well supported by all staff. I am always met with smiling faces and kept well informed of all mum's needs and care. Mum's room and all other facilities are kept spotless. She is included in many of the activities which It's good for her social skills/needs. When Mum first went into the home it was very hard for my dad, after having a word with management we came up with a plan for dad to visit and take mum out a couple of times a week. I cannot praise the manager, office staff and carers enough a great team of people. We recently had an incident where my dad took ill just outside the home, the staff were amazing they called an ambulance, and sat with him until he got treatment. They then reassured my mum for the rest of the day until they had news that he was on the mend.
My mother is a resident in Dalby Court it has been a difficult time with decisions that have to be made for her safety. I have had so much support from the carers and the clerical staff. Important events have taken place in the family ie a family wedding. They advised me what to do. The staff ensured that my mam was up and ready and presentable for her to enjoy her day. She totally enjoyed her time with family and once tired we returned her and the staff supported her on return. These times are important to us as a family and are happy she can join in. She can't remember the day but enjoyed it at the time and we have the photos to last forever. Thank you team at Dalby Court.
I would highly recommend Dalby Court Care Home. My mother since entering the facility has been so much more happy in every way. The care is highly professional, caring feeling. The high quality of food and overall cleanliness is fantastic. My mother feels safe, secure, and her overall well-being has improved enormously.
My aunt is happy and well cared for. Always chatty and singing the praises of all the staff that look after her.
