View Full Details of East Croft GrangeMy uncle has been resident in East Croft since the beginning of August having transferred from an inadequate, awful home. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and care they give him as there was nothing before. He is so much happier being there, joining in many of the activities, sitting out when he's not sure but still enjoys watching the others. His room is lovely with a big window overlooking the garden. He had been outside for little walks when the weather is nice, something which he enjoys very much. He enjoys the food and there's always a choice. I can't speak highly enough of the facilities and especially the staff and the manager. I am very happy with this placement. It has taken all the worry out of things as I know he is well looked after and cared for. I would highly recommend East Croft to anyone looking for a care home for either themselves or a loved one.
My mam receives the highest of care. The staff treat her like family. She is always happy when we visit. The staff also cared for my dad until he died in January this year. They cared for whole family during a very difficult time.
My wife is a day client only. We looked at around 10 care homes and found East Croft Grange. The best. We have not been disappointed.
My mam began living in East Croft Grange in February. I was very anxious about her going into care. I needn't of worried because management and staff at East Croft have been wonderful. They have supported us as a family through a very difficult time. My mams health and personality has improved. East Croft makes you feel very welcome when visiting mam.
From the resident was admitted in December 24 until she died March 25, we couldn't fault the care, the facilities, the food and entertainment all added to her contented stay. Ok the first couple of weeks, she was unsettled, but management advised this was normal, at first, she then settled into the care system. Her medical needs were looked after to a very high level. The end of life care to the resident and myself was so compassionate, after she passed again staff treated her with dignity, respect and love.. For which i will always be thankful.
Feel at ease when entering the care home. The staff are friendly and so helpful my father has Vascular Dementia. He is looking better and eating better also joining in with the good entertainment and signing. He was made a fuss of on his 94th birthday and cake, we all had a lovely time. Staff cannot do enough for the people, well done.
My granddad is very well looked after and since moving to the home he has become brighter and happier and enjoys the music and entertainment. The building and bedrooms have a very pleasant atmosphere with a bright and positive feel. Staff are attentive and caring and spend lots of time making sure everyone is looked after and comfortable. Seeing your loved one struggle with dementia is very difficult, and it is such a huge relief knowing he is getting well cared for, and is safe and happy. Thank you all at East Croft.
From the 1st home assessment to my mam going into the home we felt the support and care from the care team. It is such a difficult and emotional time putting your loved one into someone else's care. My mam as come on so much since being in the home. The care and stimulation from the activities seems to have brought her out of herself and she is really relaxed and chatting more. We get feedback from the team and feel like we can ask anything to the staff.
After my mother's husband died she was living alone, very depressed and unhappy. We took her to East Croft for a few day care sessions she really liked everything about it and told us she wanted to stay which we did. She's much happier and healthier now, and we are happy with that everything about East Croft is excellent not a bad word to say about the place.
My mum took up residence at East Croft Grange in December 2022. Sadly mum passed away this week. She was completely at home at East Croft Grange, constantly telling us how happy she was and how well looked after she was. All of the staff were great. A big thank you to all the carers who were so nice with mum who suffered with dementia. A particular mention goes to the Care Home Manager, and the other cares with whom nothing was ever any trouble. This is a very top end care home managed and run by people who care completely. Thank you.
Since arriving in late August my mother has settled in well and is thriving with all the care and attention. She is thoroughly enjoying the activities and the staff are always helpful. We are also always made to feel most welcome when visiting.
I can finally settle now that my Dad is being taken care of. The staff in particular were amazing at putting my Dad at ease and helping him adjust to such a big change. I cannot thank or praise this place enough.
This place is the perfect balance of well-run and friendly. The staff couldn't do enough for my husband, especially when he first went in. A truly unique place that deserves the high rating it has here and with the Care Quality Commission. The experience and care of the manager and the staff really shine through and means that we have peace of mind, knowing he is being looked after. Being able to trust the people who are caring for someone close to you is crucial and we absolutely made the right choice going with East Croft. They seem able to handle many different and complex cases judging by the brilliant mix of residents.
Absolutely amazing staff and service. From the first assessment when things had reached crisis point at home, to the settling in period and then into the day to day care, East Croft Grange have been outstanding. The manager and the staff including the carers have been an absolute godsend. They are caring but straight talking and have gone out of their way to help my dad. If you are lucky enough to get a place here for a loved one I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Friendly, well-staffed care home. Residents are provided with their particular needs and are encouraged to take part in many activities that are usually arranged twice a day, five days a week. Health problems seem to be reported early and acted upon. Medicine, basic care and dietary needs are well managed. We are very happy with the care Mam is receiving, and she seems to be more settled.
East Croft Grange have been looking after my dad for a while now, he’s 83 and has dementia. The care he’s receiving is 10/10 and we can’t fault anything from the quality of his room to the daily activities, food quality etc. The staff are superb and nothing is any trouble.
My wife and I are very satisfied with the care my mother has received while she has been a resident of Eastcroft Grange. The home is kept exceptionally clean and her room is lovely. All the carers go out of their way to help whenever they’re needed and seem to be genuinely interested in providing the best care possible. The management keeps us well-informed regarding my mother’s wellbeing and is also friendly and very approachable. All in all, we think she is in the best possible place for her at this moment in time.
The home is well run and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Meals are good and residents are well cared for. The home is very clean and well looked after but value for money is lacking as £1200 per week is quite excessive after my mam has worked all her life and this is her reward.
Due to family illness, we had to find my father a care home very quickly. East Croft could not have been any more helpful and welcoming. The home has such a welcoming atmosphere and appears just like any normal home. The staff are second to none, supporting both residents and family. I was able to call anytime to check on my father. There is always something going on as well; I’m not sure if they have an actives coordinated, but there are things to do, quizzes and singers. My father is 92 and has smoked a pipe since his youth - they don’t bat an eyelid. When he asked, they got his pipe and went outside with him. The rooms are well-furnished and spacious, and there is a lift to the upper floor. I would recommend this care home with no problem.
The staff are welcoming, friendly and professional. That professionalism continues with the management and external visitors who come in to entertain or work with residents. There is a comprehensive plan for home improvements, maintenance and the residents are kept informed about them. I felt unable to give the food five stars as I’m only aware of what the snacks and sundries are but I can say my father never says he’s hungry. I would definitely recommend this home to others requiring care.
