Staff are invariably pleasant, personable and helpful. I feel that Dad is well cared for and settled. It is an old building which has been adapted with all the constraints that brings.
I moved my auntie to Hames Hall from another care home & so glad we did. It's an exceptional care home, with daily activities to keep her busy. They have taken her out & about on days out. Staff are all lovely & this includes the manager. My auntie is extremely happy here. Beautiful conservatory & garden, she quite happily sits in with her book. Perfect retirement home.
Hames Hall is a lovely home for my friend, who is a resident there. The staff are always kind and helpful, and prepared to go the extra mile. My friend was recently 90 years old, and the staff prepared a lovely afternoon tea for us and a few friends, they also took photos. The manager is always kind and helpful, and makes time to listen. The building is well maintained, and the gardens are beautiful.
I came into Hames Hall on respite on August 2023. During my time I soon realised this was where I could live and be very happy. 2025 my opinion of Hames Hall has never changed, the staff are so committed and caring not just to myself but all residents. They have an amazing care team but this would not happen unless they had a good manager. The manager is so considerate everything runs like clockwork, also taking into consideration family members.
This place exudes kindness. The staff can't do enough for you. They are always on the look out to make sure that we (both myself and my relative) are OK. Nothing seems too much trouble. They are patient and gentle, worth their weight in gold. The manager is excellent. The home itself is warm and comfortable, having lovely views. Of course, it is an old building and not purpose-built, so one must expect drawbacks to this. The lounge dining room and conservatory are lovely. My relative's bedroom is just a little too small, that's my only criticism.
From the moment mam went into Hames Hall 6 months ago, the manager, assistant manager and staff have all been most welcoming. I have found that they cannot do enough for mam and the other residents. They are hard working, caring and nothing is too much trouble. Mam is very happy to be there and I am happy with the care and support she receives. There is a good choice of lovely tasty meals and they do different activities and celebrate birthdays with the residents. The Hall gets decorated for different events, Halloween, Christmas etc. Home from home. I would not hesitate to recommend Hames Hall to anyone looking for care for their loved ones.
I have seen a very positive change in my aunt since moving to Hames Hall, she appears happy and very well cared for, she also says she is happy there.
Whilst looking for a care home for my mother in law, we had several excellent recommendations of Hames Hall. We were very fortunate to secure a place for her there and over the past 8 months we have found the standard of care far above expectations. I visit almost daily and always find the management and staff very approachable, friendly and welcoming. It is a pleasure to visit and see my mother in law so happy, settled and contented. She is 99 years old in a few weeks and all her needs are catered for including a visiting hairdresser who does her hair each week. On my regular visits, I also witness the kindness and care given to other residents. The food is excellent, catering for everyone's individual needs. So much effort above and beyond with various entertainment and events are celebrated throughout the year and the home is decorated accordingly for each event. So much effort is put into every day life by the management and staff. I would definitely recommend Hames Hall to anyone looking for a high standard of care for their loved ones.
From the moment my father-in-law entered Hames Hall he was impressed not only with the facilities and activities on offer but most of all with the care staff and managers, who were all very friendly, compassionate, caring and knowledgeable. We as a family are extremely happy with the care he has received during his stay and are very grateful for everyone at Hames making his stay a pleasant one.
I have really enjoyed my stay at Hames Hall. The food is very nice with good choice. The staff are friendly and enjoy a good crack. They help me with all my needs. I look forward to returning again for respite, It's a very nice place to stay.
My mum was homed in Hames Hall on the 20th of March 2024. I was impressed straight away by the caring atmosphere and cleanliness of the place. My mum over the weeks has required medical attention which was given to her by the caring staff at Hames Hall. 100% good feedback.
I came here in June for a couple of weeks out. Due to circumstances, I am still here and in the time spent here I have been looked after perfectly and the management and staff could not have been looked after better. Well satisfied.
My mother was a resident at Hames Hall for three years and throughout her stay, she was always treated with kindness and respect. The staff have supported me during what has been a difficult and emotional time, keeping me updated as to any changes/treatments/needs my mother had and I am very grateful for their care and support of both my Mum and myself.
My mother had three weeks of respite in Hames Hall. The care was excellent, and the staff uniformly friendly, creating a happy, caring, secure, atmosphere. There were a variety of activities to keep residents occupied and stimulated. Excellent choice of food, allowing residents a good choice for meals. The standard of rooms and setting of the home is exceptional. The whole atmosphere is a feeling of a home from home.
Very nice home, treated very good with staff. Very happy to be here.
Excellent care from all the staff. My sister loves her room and enjoys her lunch each day in the beautiful dining room.
Hames Hall was impeccable, the food was 5 stars, the carers couldn't do enough for my mum. The manager runs a very tight ship! Thank you so much. Handing a loved one's care over to people you don't really know is hard. You made it very easy. She actually said she enjoyed her week. Lovely comfortable room, so peaceful.
Hames Hall looked after my mother-in-law when she was no longer able to live in her own home. She was discharged from hospital into their care, and we cannot fault them. They offered her a home from home, and we were able to switch off and relax, knowing that all her needs were being met. Both the manager and all the staff work great as a team. All the members of the team have shown patience, kindness and understanding. They went above and beyond what we would have expected. Thank you.
Dad moved into Hames Hall in January. He has a spacious and comfortable en-suite room with a colour TV and lots of wall space for pictures. Good range of public rooms with an especially nice conservatory. Young, enthusiastic staff with a jolly demeanour and an excellent and committed care home manager.
My mother spent a year in Hames Hall and I was impressed by the management from the very start. I was out of the country where my mother was discharged from hospital to Hames and that went very smoothly. Mum enjoyed the company of the staff and she was kept stimulated. Fortunately, she kept her mental facilities to the end and the staff helped maintain them. In the final hours the staff made sure she was not alone when myself, my wife or my children could not be there. I cannot praise Hames Hall staff and management highly enough.
