Arriving at Birch Hill is always a pleasure, beautifully maintained gardens and seasonal decorations around the front door. Greeted by welcoming staff you enter into a caring atmosphere. The staff are always busy and efficient and either looking after residents or making sure the pristine condition of the home is maintained to a high standard of life at confirmed they fully completed card themself + no professional connection for all its residents.

Overall very happy with the Care Home. The staff are attentive and engaged with residents. There is genuine care and concern by the staff, they show genuine interest in the our relatives. The home is warm, clean and well maintained. We are encouraged in our happy outlook at Birchill by the constantly high level of physical and pastoral care.

Very happy with the care provided to my mother from Management and their Staff at all levels. Very friendly atmosphere and in the event of outside medical care being required dealt with promptly and efficiently.

My mother has been a very happy and settled resident for over three years . The care and attention to her needs has never faltered throughout this time which is such a credit to the team at Birch Hill , not underestimating the seamless changes which have occurred in this time. From the moment you arrive all the staff do there utmost to make the time spent with your relative as special as they can , everyone has their own way of enjoying time there , and no request is to much trouble. It's impossible to highlight a department or individual as it always feels like visiting one big happy family.

December is excellent. Can I also praise the way the staff worked when my husband had to go to hospital. The care and attention he was given then and when he returned five days later really was excellent. I would say 'loving care'

Extraordinary kindness and thoughtfulness of all staff. On site-kitchen provides a very good menu that is customised to my mother's specific needs. As a visiting relative I have felt included and welcomed on each visit.

Care Home always clean & fresh , staff all very nice & polite ..very conscientious & hard working staff , very good to my mother in law & she's well cared for thanks to everyone concerned , my mother in law always seems to be very settled in Birchill , Norham . Shes always well catered for dietary wise . The staff are always very good with the rest of the family as well . Cleanliness is always very good & staff are always busy up keeping their standards

Birch Hill has a really warm and friendly atmosphere. Staff are always willing to help and to go that extra mile. The food is excellent and the residents are so well cared for. I have visited several times over the past year, but I will focus on my latest visit in October 2025. From arriving at the front door, all staff I met were welcoming and helpful. I was offered a coffee and biscuits while visiting Mum, and when she needed help we used the call button and someone came to assist very willingly and with lots of empathy and care. Mum always looks well dressed and cared for, and is given plenty of choices for meals.

Platinum rating. All staff at Birch Hill are welcoming and friendly. They go above and beyond what is asked of them. My mum is given a loving and caring environment. She is very happy and full of smiles when I visit her. Mum is always clean and well dressed. Having experienced the meals, they are of the highest standard. The staff keep the home exceptionally clean.

Birch Hill is always welcoming and has a lovely caring feel. The care given to my mother-in-law is always of the highest standard. The staff are very attentive to every aspect of care required, including communication relating to any changes in general well being or medical care. The staff are amazing as they treat the residents as family, if they are one of their own. Birch Hill should be the template that all care homes should aspire too.

My mother has been at Birch Hill for 6 months and is very settled. The staff are excellent and look after her every need. Birch Hill is always clean and warm with a very friendly atmosphere. Some times the food is not always to Mums taste but on the whole adequate choice is available. Activities have been limited recently due to staff changes but I'm sure they are being looked at. So to sum up we are very happy with Birch Hill and the care my mother is recieving.

Birch Hill is a lovely welcoming care home. I visit my Granny a few times a month at Birch Hill. The staff are very friendly and a pleasure to speak too. It is lovely to see my granny is safe and well looked after.

Wonderful friendly staff who take great care in their work. The home is clean and warm allowing a pleasant visit even for great grand children. Nothing is too much trouble and we very much enjoy our visits to Birch Hill. The staff go above and beyond in providing the best possible care and support to residents and visitors.

My partner has now been resident for 6 months the standard of care has been exceptional from management to carers to house keeping staff nothing is a problem and everything is open and transparent. Communication between the staff and residents/family/friends is excellent. Cleanliness/hygene is very good The catering is super. Activities second to none Family/friends are always greeted with a warm welcome A truly well run residence

Always greeted with warmth in the centre. Staff are sincere, respectful and humorous (humour being used in a way to help defuse what could be difficult situation.) The staff knowing the little preferences that certain residents have and seeing first hand the special relationship that some have built up over the years.

From the initial contact to the ongoing care the Birch Hill team have been and are nothing short of amazing - The wellbeing of my Mum is held in very compassionate and professional hands. Although the property sits in such stunning and tranquil surroundings it's the warm glow generated from the team whithin the building that makes my Mum feel at home and safe and gives me a great peace of mind. Thank you all.

My mum has thrived in this care home She left hospital not talking nor walking without assistance of staff after a stroke She is now walking with a zimmer getting help with her speech and is improving daily all thanks to the wonderful staff

The whole team looked after me superbly well during. My brief post op stay . All very warm friendly and conscientious. . Good food and refreshments and snacks almost 'on demand' too. My late wife was a resident and I have since recommended Birch Hill to others. I will continue to do so

My mother spent the last nine months of her life here, sadly passing away at end of April. All staff worked to give her the best quality of life possible with activities that reflected her interests and ensuring her dietary requirements were met. Standards were always high from cleanliness to care and management. End of life care was wonderful. Staff did everything to ensure she had the best medical care and was comfortable at all times. Care extended to her family who were fully informed, included and supported.

From viewing to supporting residents we were made to feel very welcome. Resident needs catered for with care and dignity. Overall an excellent service provided.
