In my experience this care home is second to none. The food is good as is cleanliness, but mainly the staff who are kind and caring and put themselves out and go above and beyond to care for and entertain their residents.

I am happy with mams overall care 'Day Staff' are very good and attentive, night staff need to take a bit more care in the morning when getting mam up and dressed. For example wet bed not changed and vomit on bed not changed. Laundry has poisoned many of her light coloured clothes as well as
shrinking them in dryer. It seems all colour go in the same wash.

When my husband and I came to view this rest home for the first time with a view to finding a home for my mum we were met by the Deputy Manger who was pleased to show us around. We had looked at twos other care homes, and we chose Waterloo. Everyone we met was lovely including the residents. They
were all so friendly and seems happy it felt like a home from home. Mum was given a lovely room, started to gain weight, is happy again. I would highly recommend Waterloo House Rest Home to anyone who asks.

Although my dad is currently receiving respite care at Waterloo House, the warm welcome and care has been first class. All of the staff, without exception, have been very helpful, kind and supportive. Nothing is any trouble and they have done everything possible to help my dad settle into his
temporary , hopefully permanent home. I am very grateful for all of their hard work as it really does give me comfort and peace of mind knowing that my dad's needs are all taken care of. Thank you.

The care my husband received here during the 7 months before he died in early December was exceptional. The carers The carers worted tirelessly to keep him: to keep him safe, comfortable and treated with dignity and respect - even when he wasn't always easy to care for. They also gave our family
peace of mind. We were always made to feel welcome, listened to and supported. This is a wonderful care homeand that is entirely because of the wonderful staff. Thank you for everything you did for him and for us.

My dad moved into Waterloo Care Home in January 2025. The staff treat my dad as part of their family, the kindness and respect he is shown is just so lovely. The food is fab and as my dad's weight had been worrying he's putting weight on weekly. His mental health is improving and he is settling into
his new home so well. I am so pleased my dad is a resident there, I feel like his daughter again not his carer. Outstanding care and I would highly recommend this home.

My Mam was discharged from hospital to Waterloo House in May this year, I had met the manager on a ward just days earlier and was immediately impressed. The choice was Mams, as she had a dog and wanted to go into a home where pets were allowed. Sadly the dog wouldn't settle, but Mam did, and she
loved the environs, the camaraderie, genuine carers, the food, activities, trips, she actually got a 'new-lease-of-life.' Sadly she became increasingly confused and progressively unwell, and her needs were fully met by the staff/home/District Nurses, I cannot fault the care, respect, and affection she was shown during the past few months. Mam had a stroke and the home were quick to react, and she responded well to treatment, and we were planning her return home to Waterloo House when she deteriorated and sadly died last month. The Home were very accommodating even after her passing, and we are holding the wake at the home, her last home, next week. Thank you Waterloo House.

My uncle had been a resident in Waterloo House since April 2017. Although it was an upheaval for him at the age of 89 he was welcomed by all the staff who made the transition as easy as possible; listening to his wishes and tailoring his care accordingly. It became a "home from home" with my uncle
clearly enjoying the attention he was receiving and as his health became worse and he was under an "end of life" plan his care could not have been better and the genuine affection shown for him by the staff was exceptional, as though they were caring for one of their own family members. The support provided to my uncle and to us, his family, was fantastic and I could not thank them enough for making this very difficult time, bearable.
