Mum first was welcomed as a temporary emergency respite resident when Dad was ill. Sadly, Dad died, and we were offered a placement. Mum (and the family) were treated with care, love and dignity. We are welcomed on each visit (we don't need to book or give notice), Mums always clean and tidy in her
own clothes, although still confused, she's not frightened, she's constantly reassured by staff. All food is cooked from scratch at the home. Thanks to the staff for the care for my mum. This has reduced our concerns.

My mum has been at Alastair House for two years now. She has always been treated with kindness, care and dignity at all times. All the staff go above and beyond to make all residents feel at home. I have always thought I made the correct decision in choosing Alastair House for my mum.

I will be forever thankful and grateful to all the lovely staff at Alastair House for the genuine love and care they gave to my mum whilst she was in their care. She was happy, well fed and entertained , and if she had a day of not being so well they looked after her as well as any of her family
members would do. To me Alastair House is a home and extended family and who could ask for more for their loved ones.

My friends relative is currently in the home and I have visited several times with her, the staff are all so kind and compassionate, I would have no concerns if one of my own family members was living here.

When I visit it's always a welcome and I see all service users are happy as well as my family member staff are happy to chat with service users and family members everybody is friendly and friendly to approach

Mum had 3 weeks respite at Alastair House and I cannot praise the staff enough. Nothing was as too much trouble. They helped Mum through a very difficult time and were professional and compassionate with their care. The staff kept us completely uptodate with Mum's condition and acted promptly when a
higher level of care was needed. I would not hesitate to recommend Alastair House for care. Could just do with a bit more funding to update the premises and equipment.

Supportive environment: The atmosphere is welcoming and homely, with thoughtful touches that make a real difference to daily life.
Communication: I've been kept informed and involved, which has given me peace of mind knowing my husband is in safe hands.
Dedication: It's clear that the team are not just doing a job-they truly care about the wellbeing of residents and their families.
I am deeply grateful for the patience, warmth, and professionalism shown throughout my husband's stay.

My husband was admitted to Alastair House recently for respite care. The staff are friendly and caring. Everyone has been very supportive and welcoming to myself our dog and family members. Everyone worked really hard to help my husband to settle in. I cannot thank them enough for their help through
a really difficult time.

My aunt has been at the Alastair House for a few months now and the staff are wonderful, kind and very caring. The Manager and her team always communicate with me around my aunts care. They go above and beyond and know my aunts likes and dislikes. My aunt arrived at the home with very limited eating
habits and staff have liaised with me every step to encourage her eating which has been immensely successful. I have never doubted my choice in moving my aunt's care to Alastair House, my aunt is very happy here.

Dad has been at Alastair House for a good while now.
He's very well looked after & communication is great. Always reply to any queries I have or inform me of any needs or changes.

My dad has been in Alastair House for just over a week. The care my dad is receiving is second to none! We cannot thank the manager and the staff enough for their continuing hard work and care. Dad is very happy despite some ongoing problems. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I can honestly say that Alastair House is a great place for my dad.
Staff are great and always very caring and informative and kind to my dad couldn't ask for a better place for my dad to be.

I would recommend this home. The staff are caring and friendly. They try to establish friendly relationships with residents and their families.
They are quick to deal with any health and care issues.
My father is very settled here.

Mum is very well cared for at Alastair House. Her needs are all preempted and met. As her needs have increased, I have been kept well informed and have been fully involved with decisions about her care. She is treated with dignity and kindness. The staff are cheerful and have been super with her. I
am very happy with all aspects of Mum’s care at Alastair House.

My mum has settled so well in Alastair House. I have felt very happy seeing her. She looks very well cared for and the meals look lovely. I couldn't ask for more and appreciate very much the kindness shown.

My mum's life is happy, loves life. She thinks the world of all the staff and management caring for her. All staff at Alastair House go above and beyond, they are kind, caring, patient and it shows they love their job. They also find time to support me (daughter) as I care for Dad at home. Couldn't
manage without these people.

Homely atmosphere, variable diets. Friendly staff who treat residents like family. Residents kept clean and warm. Staff helpful when visiting at any time. Strict covid regulations. Have visited my partner for six years and found nothing to raise concerning.

I would recommend this home to any of my family and friends. The care my mum is having at the home is very good and all the staff are so friendly, always offering us a drink every time we visit. And I'm very happy that she is happy.

My Mum was an emergency admission as her dementia progressed very rapidly. Alastair House staff have been kind and courteous throughout and kept me well informed about how my Mum was settling in during her Covid quarantine period.
