My experience has been very positive my husband is receiving very good care. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We are extremely happy with all aspects of Ty Porth . My aunt has been unsettled in the evenings and the staff have been so patient and understanding with her , she has been referred to all the necessary medical depts. and is receiving appropriate medication .
We visit regularly and always find the
roomsand public areas clean and welcoming . My aunt likes coming out to the reception area with us for coffee and cake .
From the reception staff who welcome us to the cleaning staff , everyone has been kindness itself to my aunt and to us .
We feel my aunt is safe and well cared for and we can visit and enjoy her company without worrying about her when we leave .
Would I recommend Ty Porth to others ? Yes without hesitation .

Most helpful in steering us through the experience of arranging residential care for an elderly relative.
Very welcoming and answered all our questions- how er stupid- with patience.
Made the experience of moving in as pleasant as possible for our relative and went out of their way to reassure us
that all would be well ,as it has proved to be.

Mum moved to Ty Porth when her health deteriorated & she needed around the clock nursing care.
She was fiercely independent despite her needs, & the Care staff fully respected this & encouraged her to do things for herself whenever possible.
They treated her like the lady that she was,
rather than the old, anonymous person that a recent hospital stay sadly evidenced.
The care that Mum received was second to none & she enjoyed the chit chat & banter, & the company as well.
For our large family it was ideal, as we were able to visit as often as we liked & whenever we wanted, just like when Mum was in her own home.
Various activities are arranged, & even though Mum was on a nursing floor, where most residents were bed bound, everyone was encouraged & taken to that day's event, enabling them to socialise & enjoy something different.
My lasting impression of Ty Porth is one of happy, smiling faces of the Carers & nurses who truly cared.
I highly recommend Ty Porth to anyone & everyone.

I was not looking forward to the day that my mother was being moved into the Care Home, I was expecting resistance and a lot of tears. How wrong was I. From the moment my mother entered the home, the staff all came to introduce themselves, they showed her the bedroom and then showed her around the
various facilities on the floor. The staff made such a fuss of my mother that she felt safe and protected and that gave her the reassurance she needed, it was such a difference after spending over four months in hospital. My mother settled in to her new surroundings very well, she is participating in all the activities and as already struck up a number of friendships with the fellow residents. The staff are always free to have a chat when I visit, as I tend to ask a lot of questions and any health issues with Mam they have phoned me to keep me updated. Thank you very much and keep up the excellent care that you provide.

I can't praise the CARE HOME enough because that is exactly what it is the level of CARE is amazing. My loved one hadnt sat in a chair in hospital since november. When he arrived at Ty Porth in may the next day he was up in chair and joining in fab activities. We are so pleased. Thank you to all
the staff at Ty Porth it means I can look after my own health issues knowing hes looked after better than I can manage.

All staff are very friendly and helpful, and always keen to help. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The home is clean and tidy. I moved my mum from another Care home, and glad I did, as she is well looked after and safe. I have no concerns about her welfare. I would recommend this home to anyone

Amazing staff and great facilities makes me feel reassured my Mums in Safe and caring hands.
Lovely communal areas and Garden and staff always make you feel welcome.
Lots of entertainment for residents.

My husband moved into Ty Porth Care Home in June 2025. It could have been a difficult transition from hospital to care home, but it was handled with care, respect and understanding of the individual. My husband has since settled well. I am very happy with his care at Ty Porth Care Home.

Never thought my sister-in-law would be so happy.
All staff are caring and friendly, and thoughtful.
Food excellent.
Medical attention for residents' needs, "second to none."
For us as a family very reassuring to know that my sister-in-law is safe and happy.
Rooms are clean and kept tidy.

The whole process of arranging care for my mother was seamless and efficient from start to finish.
Having had a bad experience with a previous care home, to date we have found Ty Porth to be excellent in its care and facilities.

Finding the right residential setting for our Mam was a priority and we viewed a few prior to Ty Porth.
As soon as we entered we were greeted warmly and invited in to view the home.
We wanted our Mam to be in a place where she would be treated as family by the team and this is certainly the case.
Everyone is wonderful with her. We wanted a clean environment, a host of activities for her and healthy and nutritious food. Ty Porth provides all of this and more.
The administration team helped us with everything in getting Mam across from hospital. And the team caring for our Mam cannot do enough. They are absolutely brilliant.
We are so pleased with how the transition for Mam has and is going. We feel that Mam is safe and well cared for and will live a happy life in their care.

We are close friends with a resident, she has been a resident with you since Nov 24.
During this 3 months we can only say she has had first class care from all your staff. Trusting she will be with you and your care always.

Having spent plenty of time researching and visiting numerous potential homes for my mother, I chose Ty Porth. My experiences since Mum became a resident in September 2024 have fully vindicated my decision.
The staff are exceptional and provide me with the comfort that Mum is being exceptionally
well looked after.
Whenever I visit, all staff are really welcoming and without prompting or checking notes can give me an excellent summary of how Mum's faring along with which in-house activities she's been attending.
Mum's ensuite room was completely refurbished before she arrived and the whole home is really well-appointed with top-class facilities and impressive catering. Having visited numerous other homes, I couldn't be more impressed with the quality and personal attention offered at Ty Porth.

My Dad moved into Ty Porth in November. Reflecting back on the anguish we experienced making the decision for Dad to move into care and where we are now are two very different places.
The staff couldn't have done more to welcome my Dad. Everyone we met was happy and positive. Nothing was a problem.
He has adjusted well joining in activities and eating well. He is happy and says the staff treat him with respect and dignity. He feels like he still has control over his life and can make his own decisions.
Every day I visit Dad he is happy and talks about something that has happened. Classes he has tried, entertainers and even lamas that have visited.
We need not have gone through all that worry and I can honestly say I am more than happy that my dad is living in the best place for him and he is receiving all the support he needs. Peace of mind at last.

Ty Porth Care Home is probably the best care home I have ever come across. The staff are exceptional and they made the whole process run smoothly when I had to make the difficult decision to move my Grandmother into a home. The communication is fantastic and I am very happy that my Nan is being well
looked after and is happy.

Was always worried about choosing a care home for my elderly aunt but Ty Porth was my first choice and luckily that's what we had! The staff are absolutely amazing, from walking through the front door to walking through corridors everyone is so happy, chatty, friendly and polite and goes above and
beyond for everyone, my auntie has settled very well there and gets on with all the staff. I couldn't wish for a nicer place for my auntie to spend the rest of her days, a few of the girls on floor two are just the best, one of the nurses is so friendly and can't thank them enough for all they do! Keep up the good work girls, a massive thank you from myself and my family, you all deserve 100 stars.

I was recommended Ty Porth Care Home by friends who had loved ones residing there and was given glowing reports so it was easy for me to choose this care home for my aunt. Since residing at Ty Porth my aunt has received excellent care and attention to her needs, which is a comfort to me knowing she
is being well cared for.

We are very pleased with the care my mother is receiving at Ty Porth care home. The staff are friendly and supportive. We are kept informed of how my mother is getting along on a regular basis. The food is excellent. Her room is spacious and comfortable.
