View Full Details of Llwyn Teg Care HomeI am very grateful to the care my mum has received since becoming a resident last March. It was a difficult decision but we now know it was the right decision as she gets the care she needs. The support and care of the staff goes without saying - always at hand when needed and nothing is too much trouble. The ground floor lounge has been given a refreshing new look - so bright and welcoming! Thank you to the staff who gave their time to do such a wonderful job! We know mum is happy as she never complains and is very grateful to the care she receives.
On my visits to my friend I always ask how satisfied she feels with her care and the response is always positive usually including the phrase, they are very kind to me. When I have needed to ask the management for help or assistance I find them extremely obliging and very supportive to deal with. I find my friend, for the most part very content and accepting of what for her is a difficult situation
Very caring . They keep you notified of any problems or issues with my mother. They try to overcome any problems especially with eating and drinking whic has been our main ongoing problem . Very happy to know my loved one is safe
I am extreamly great full for the professional committed and caring support given to our mum. The staff dealt with a range of challenges that can occur in caring for someone with dementia. There support to mum was individualised to her needs and wishes. They went over and above meeting her needs which meant she did not have to move to a different home which would have had a negative impact on her wellbeing . When mum no longer remembered us we were comforted that mum and the staff had good relationships and adapted their approach accordingly. Mum also had specific Dietary needs which were always met We value and appreciate the open and honest way of working with us to ensure the best care for mum. In her final days the team showed commitment and care in meeting her needs to the end. The team became second family for which we are very great full
Mum was a resident of Llwyn Teg from Nov 2021 until her death in Jan 2025. While at Llwyn Teg, Mum enjoyed living there, the residents were friendly, the staff were attentive, friendly & dealt with her dietary & medical needs. Unfortunately, Mum suffered from dementia that gradually got worse, the staff were good at dealing with Mum's needs, keeping her active & as the memory of her family faded the staff became her caring family. The staff & management were good at keeping me updated on any issues & consulted with me when any changes in Mum's care were needed. Mum had 2 staff members as her designated careers who were great ambassadors for Llwyn Teg, they didn't just do what needed to be done, they really cared for Mum which was a comfort to me to know and see this in action. I cannot recommend Llwyn Teg more highly for the care & support that they gave to my Mum for which I am very grateful.
I was in the orthopaedic hospital having surgery for a replacement knee. My husband has dementia and is registered partially sighted and is 94. With no one at home to take care of him during my absence the Manager said he could go to Llwnn Teg Care Home for respite care until I was able to look after him. He was very happy and was well looked after. In fact, he was reluctant to come home.
Dad's initial behaviour was challenging due to misprescribing of his medication prior to his arrival. The management and staff were able to cope with this adverse behaviour until his correct medication was prescribed.
I feel very fortunate that my 98-year-old mum is at Llwyb Teg. The staff are very friendly and caring. When I as Mum if she is happy, she always replies that she is content and feels very safe at Llwyn Teg. Lately, there has been a change in the manager, and I feel it is important to clarify that the "acting manager" is far more approachable than the previous. In fact, the last one was very abrupt and blunt, and during the Covid restrictions, it was not what we needed!
I could not have been more pleased with the care my father received here. The staff are so attentive and caring. We are kept well informed and made welcome on our frequent visits. The staff have worked so hard towards accommodating my father and making him feel welcome during his stay here. I would highly recommend Llwyn Teg Care Home to anyone.
