Llwyn Teg Care Home

My father has been in Llwyn Teg since march 2025. I think he is incredibly lucky as I have heard it is rare these days to find a care home that feels so warm and welcoming and homely. It always smells fresh and clean. The staff are all exceptional in their kindness and thoughtfulness. Dad is very proud and they treat him with respect and help him to feel that his needs are the most important thing. His idiosyncracies are tolerated with a smile and there is always laughter and jokes. I never thought I would see him happy in a care home but I actually think his life is richer for being there.

Llwyn Teg is very welcoming for both residents and visitors and we are always greeted with a smile. There is much focus on making the place feel homely, both in individual rooms and communal areas. This summer they have made huge improvements to the outside area, which has made the space much better especially in the heat. When things don't go according to plan, as sometimes happens, the management team always make sure that they speak to the residents and family members to understand what changes or improvements can be made. Thank you for all the care you are giving to my family member.

We were very apprehensive of how my mother in law would settle. The staff have supported both my mother in law and her family in this transition. There is a homely environment within the home and everyone are very supportive and friendly.

Excellent staff very helpful and always caring for my husband he has been here quite a while xx always let me know when anything is wrong the kichen staff need to be recognised the staff and care people always find me a lovely drink and food if needed .,,

It was a difficult decision for my Mum to have to move into a care home but after her living at Llwyn Teg for the last two and a half years now I have great confidence that she has the best possible care and genuinely would not want her to live in any other care home.

Llwyn Teg is a pleasant care home, providing good quality care. The day care staff work extremely hard, long hours but are always smiling and willing to help when needed. The building is tidy and the grounds are attractive.

The staff are absolutely amazing and really care for the residents they look after. The residents are well looked after, the home is extremely clean and attention to the small but important details to make residents lives as happy as possible.

Llwyn Teg is such a lovely, caring residential home. I'm happy that mum is receiving the best possible care constantly being shown dignity and respect by all staff. Mum is very settled and is very happy living at Llwyn Teg.

Have found the care home staff to be professional in their duties but with a caring attitude to all residents. The home has a comfortable 'home from home' feeling and residents appear contented and at ease. Reports from our relative state that the food is good and they are accommodating to individual needs if needed. It makes it easier knowing your relative is being well cared for and in a safe environment

The place is always clean and tidy.

Llwyn teg is a very happy nice nursing home,the staff and all the workers involved in running the home are very kind and caring, nothing is too much trouble for them, the rooms are nice and clean and the gardens are all nice and tidy and there are lots of activities going on

What an absolutely fantastic care home. The staff at Llwyn Teg really do go the extra mile to ensure every resident is treated with care, compassion and the utmost respect. My father loves the place, and speaks positively about every member of staff. I know he's safe, and being well cared for by a team who work seamlessly together to provide the very best care available. Thank you to all the staff at Llwyn Teg.

Lovely to see my great aunt involved with the arts and crafts throughout the year. And seeing pictures of what they do. Nice to see the interaction with the younger generation by singing, parachute games etc. Keep up the good work.

This is a special care home indeed! The day care staff are incredibly attentive, they are always smiling and engaging with the residents. I am always made to feel welcome whenever I visit. It's lovely to hear the use of the Welsh language within the home. It's a delightful home, which I recommend.

Just from a glance, the residents are well taken of in each stage of their residency. They can turn a frown or cry into a smile because they provide the needed attention quickly.

Staff are exceptionally friendly, compassionate and caring. They walk extra mile for their residents, staff treat residents as their own family. Nice and clean care home. Absolutely amazing! Highly recommend!

We know mum is happy as she never complains and is very grateful to the care she receives.

Very caring . They keep you notified of any problems or issues with my mother. They try to overcome any problems especially with eating and drinking whic has been our main ongoing problem . Very happy to know my loved one is safe

Mum was a resident of Llwyn Teg from Nov 2021 until her death in Jan 2025. While at Llwyn Teg, Mum enjoyed living there, the residents were friendly, the staff were attentive, friendly & dealt with her dietary & medical needs. Unfortunately, Mum suffered from dementia that gradually got worse, the staff were good at dealing with Mum's needs, keeping her active & as the memory of her family faded the staff became her caring family. The staff & management were good at keeping me updated on any issues & consulted with me when any changes in Mum's care were needed. Mum had 2 staff members as her designated careers who were great ambassadors for Llwyn Teg, they didn't just do what needed to be done, they really cared for Mum which was a comfort to me to know and see this in action. I cannot recommend Llwyn Teg more highly for the care & support that they gave to my Mum for which I am very grateful.
