I cannot praise the Hawthorns enough, fantastic care provided. Staff are caring, kind and treat my dad with respect, taking the time to get to know him - and he has a laugh with them. They always have time for my dad, always chatting to him, and from the moment he arrived he has seemed settled and content.
Thank you for everything you do!

My Grandmother has been living at Wylesfield for nearly a year now. The staff are all so lovely and caring and she is very happy there . The home is very homely and the maintainance lady is doing a fantastic job at redecorating the home with the residents input which I feel is a beautiful touch seeing
as it is there home . The administrator is always so hopeful and friendly and if my Grandmother has any issues the team leaders always keep me updated. Fantastic. Thank you for looking after her so well.

When first introduced to Mary & the staff I knew my mum was going to be happy at Hawthornes , it wasn't an easy transition as mum had a fractured hip but the nursing team and wonderful carer's took charge and did everything to assist & help my mum come back to now not lying in bed all day to being hoisted
to go into the lounge room, and when entertainment is on into the cafe area to listen & join in, from going in mum wasn't eating or drinking!
She now feeds herself & goes into the lounge room with others.
Couldn't ask for better care. Thank you to all at Hawthornes

An amazing Christmas day. Staff went all out to make it a magical day for residents and visitors. Hawthorns staff are all excellent carers and nursing staff, the place runs so well from the top down. The nurses are informative and attentive, the carers all seem to know the residents differing needs,
the kitchen staff supply great food for so many different dietry needs, the laundry staff keep the clothing and bedding etc clean, the domestic staff keep the place nice and clean. Well done all. The Hawthorns would be very hard to beat.

My husband moved my mother in law to Glebe House approximately one year ago. He is her only son and we live in America. Although his mother resisted moving until she fell repeatedly at home she has loved being at Glebe House. We visited 2 times and were amazed at how her health and happiness have improved.
The staff is proactive, kind, friendly, helpful and does more than I have seen in most such facilities to ensure residents days pass with with lots of social interaction, fun varied activities, and friendly service and assistance while allowing and ensuring the residents dignity. We understand the food is very good and we love the staff and manager, Tracy. They even enlarged a family photo we sent via email and hung it in her room - a nice touch.
Reply from Joanne Holman, Home Manager at Glebe HouseThank you so much for your kind words! We are thrilled to hear that your mother-in-law has settled in so well at Glebe House and that she's enjoying both improved health and happiness. It's wonderful to know that our team's care, activities, and attention to detail have made such a positive impact on her experience. Thank you again for trusting us with her care, and we're so grateful for your support.

Everyone is so nice kind and gentle and very attentive interacting with the residents

I am very surprised and not happy that the staff don't get any free meals which I think they deserve it very much without their dedication there won't be anyone looking after the residents at least once or twice

a week as an incentive to get other staff interested in joining and working there

The home is beautifully kept, with comfortable communal areas and personal touches throughout that create a sense of warmth, familiarity, and dignity for everyone who lives there.
What makes this care home especially special is the genuine sense of community. Residents are encouraged to feel settled
and independent while always knowing support is close at hand. Daily life is unhurried and peaceful, allowing residents to enjoy their routines and socialise comfortably.
The staff are truly exceptional and are without doubt the heart of the home. Every member of the team shows outstanding kindness, patience, and compassion in everything they do. They take the time to get to know each resident as an individual, treating everyone with respect, dignity, and genuine warmth. It is clear that the care provided goes far beyond basic needs, they go the extra mile for the residents.
Reply from Allan Riley, Home Manager at Waverley HouseThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. It means a great deal to our whole team to know that the care, community, and atmosphere we work hard to create are felt and appreciated. Sandra settled in quite quickly and soon began to make friends. Though Sandra is usually easy going the staff at Victoria House also made her stay here pleasant and welcoming. She says that she is happy and has no problems. I notice as to how well the staff seem to get on with each other and this will
contribute to a relaxed and happy atmosphere, also that quite a number of staff have many years service again showing this is a good place to be. Thank you Victoria House for looking after my wife for her short stay here.

Absolutely amazing communication and help organising a move from Essex. Lovely staff on the day she arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. The care and attention in the first hour was better than the care recieved in hospital for over 3 weeks! Jonny and Jenna were so kind and caring. We are so happy.

My stay at The Cottage Wing was a wonderful experience. Althouth I have been ill with a lot of pain, the care and support I have received has enabled me to get better as soon as I possibly could. The gentle encouragement afforded to me was just right and together with motivation gave me the independance
to look after myself - washing and dressing. Graduation from a walking frame to a stick. Thank you Cottage Wing.
